This seems to be a decent range. My brother and I visited and found all the staff that we encountered to be very helpful. My brother thought he was having an issue with the ammo that he had purchased (jamming in his gun) from them so one of the staff came to assist on the range and gave some pointers on handling the firearm while shooting and we had no more problems. Since it was our first time visiting we were required to watch a safety vid that lasted only a few minutes and then we were issued a card (to present every time) indicating that we had seen the vid. From there we went to the range area, picked our targets and protective equipment and had no issues. I have only been to 1-2 other ranges and the pricing seemed to be comparable to other ranges, but I did have my own firearm, ammo and protective gear. so all I paid was range time. The only gripe is parking kind of sucked. It was packed (as expected on a sat morn) and the lot was pretty congested. read more

What a fun night this turned out to be! I've never been to a shooting range before, held a gun or fired one. So when my friend suggested it I was hesitant but figured...why not?? When I walked in all the staff was SUPER friendly and helpful. Since it was my very first time, I was able to watch a video and then get a one on one lesson from a staff member. He made sure I was 100% comfortable before I went into the shooting range. Once inside the range it was nothing like I expected, everyone inside was friendly and it wasn't nearly as intimidating as I thought. I won't lie, the first shot made me jump a little but after I got the hang of things I really had a good time. And I have a beautiful target to prove it! Overall, this makes for a very fun night out. Pricey. Charged by the half hour if you're alone, charged by the hour for a group. A range in Mooresville offers an all day pass for a lower price than Eagle. The staff is pushy and seem to act like they have better things to do than assist a customer. I would suggest finding another range if you're looking to enjoy some aromatherapy. read more

I have never shot a gun before and was extremely nervous about doing it. I just so happen to go on a Tuesday night which is ladies night. One of the store employee's wife comes in and free of charge teaches females how to shoot. She was incredible patient and made me feel extremely comfortable holding and firing a gun. I took a group of girlfriends to Eagle's last night for Ladies Night and we had an absolute ball. I've been to the range many times and even purchased my Glock 19, Gen 4 handgun there a few months ago and every time I've been, it's always a pleasant experience! I have been going to EGC on and off for about 4 years, and I think the place is great. Some of the staff call me by my first name, and that means a lot to me. I shoot at 3 different ranges, and EGC stacks up just right, and I think their range pricing is o.k. too in comparison. read more

My husband and I love this place! Yes they're a lil costly, but the customer service offered from the knowledgeable staff makes it worth it! I've learned so much from the staff here, some come off a little cocky, but I think it's just the nature of old school NC's. I also think they lack of "sell sell sell" May come off rude to some, but is lived by others! I don't want some creeper following me around trying to convince me to by something that I'm not comfortable with just so they make a buck. For the most part it is a place to go and shoot, however compared to all the other shooting facilities in the Charlotte/Concord area this one is by far the worst. Poor customer service combined with a mediocre shooting range, I would recommend taking your business somewhere else. It is an expensive hobby so when I decide to throw quarters downrange I would also like to enjoy my overall impression and experience of the facility. I took my deer rifle to Eagle to get the trigger adjusted. I got an uneasy feeling when the guy at the counter told me I had to leave it there without a case. I told the guy to be careful and explained my concerns. I have spent a bunch of time and money dialing in this rifle and Nightforce scope (not CHEAP) and it is or was dead on the money. I slept uneasy and went back the next day to pick up my weapon without any work being done to it because I didn't want it somewhere without a case. Sure enough, got the gun in my hands and inspected it and there was a long scratch on the scope. Whatever happened to customer service, looks like these folks would respect others property. My friend had some work done on a pistol and it took two months, I wish I would of know this before I got my gun scratched up. Very disappointing. read more

Absolutely loved this place. I do not agree with the one star reviews. It was definitely FIVE stars. My wife actually got a groupon and we had a double date with another couple. None of us had ever shot a handgun before this. The staff was extremely patient and friendly. They showed us several guns to try and gave excellent recommendations. They have a good required, but short safety class before you can shoot. Then we had a short lesson on the range. They did not pressure us to buy anything and did NOT make us feel stupid. We all had a great time and will definitely be back. I bought another groupon the next day so that we are ready to go. Again, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. You will love it. We have visited many gun ranges around Charlotte, and the management at Eagle Gun is at the bottom of the barrel. Buyers beware if you purchase a gun from Eagle Gun - should you have a problem, they act like they've never seen you before. There are some honest gun shops around the area, but this isn't one of them. read more

I had been looking at HK P30S for sometime and then found Eagle had them on sale 869.99 + tax no extra fees. I live about 3.5 hours away and called to ask about stock and they had several in stock and said if I would call a day before coming down they would hold one. I called a couple days before and they sat one back for me. When I walked in a person who I had not talked too asked if they could help us and I stated I was there to get a HK and he said its sitting behind the counter. Very nice and with the new purchase got to try it on the range at no cost and my wife got some practice time as well. They asked when started to use range if needed ammo and it was not over priced $17 for a box of 50 - 9mm American Eagle. Will be going back. read more

I had bought a new scope for one of my rifles and I wanted to sight it in. There was a forecast for rain so I looked up a non-membership indoor range. I got their number from a quick Google search and was it had a really high rating so I called them to get some info. I told them I had never been there (or any indoor range for that matter) and asked if there was anything I needed to know. They told me they charge by the half hour, and I would have to watch a safety video when I got there and sign a waiver. Okay, all that makes sense. Continuing I ask if there were any rules about how many gun I was allowed to have with me or anything like that. There is not the man told me "I could bring 100 guns if I felt so inclined". Great right? Here were my beef is, I SPECIFICALLY asked about ammo. I asked what their rules were on ammo. I was told that I could bring my own ammo, but if I rent a gun I have to use their ammo. When I arrive I go through the process of watching the movie and signing the form. They I go to the table where you drop off your time card and the guy wants to check my ammo. Okay... I proceed to unload 180 rounds out of my various magazine (it has to be every single one) and then he tells me I can't shoot that kind of ammo there. *sigh* So I reload my magazines and give them their card back get my license from the front desk and leave. I must say this, I understand (now) that ball ammo would be hard on their backstop. I cannot blame them for that. Before a bunch of gun guys rag me for not knowing what every backstop in the indoor range industry is made of, understand that I SPECIFICALLY ASKED ABOUT AMMO and drove 1 hour and 45 minutes to get to this place. I'm not pissed off about the ammo, I truly understand, it makes sense to me. I'm not a new shooter. I'm pissed off about the fact that they told me I could bring my own ammo and use it, then when I get there, I'm told I couldn't. Perhaps it was just a breakdown in communication, but I DID ask, THEY assumed I knew what as acceptable ammo and what was not. There are plenty of new consumers (new to guns) that wouldn't know this either. But that is okay because they will gladly sell you appropriate ammo and fairly higher prices than you will typically find. Good business model. All in all, I will never go back. While I understand their policy, they should have defined what was acceptable ammo. ESPECIALLY when someone actually asks what the rules are in regards to it. I will tell every person I can to avoid this place like the plague. read more

Went to eagle range today for the first time. Nice place, the lanes were fine. People were very friendly. My big complaint is that the so called range officer was useless!! There was one customer there that should have removed due to his poor, poor, poor gun handling. The range officer did nothing, most of the time sitting in his chair with his feet up playing with his phone. When I go to a range I want to feel safe and this guy had me worried. He was loading his gun behind the line and waving his AR-15 pointing at people (not keeping the muzzle in a safe direction). I am very disappointed in this place and don't think I will ever shoot there again. They make you watch a safety video on what to do and not to do but I guess they don't enforce it. Normally I shoot at the range at the lake. They watch the customers and If someone is not being safe they call you out. This is why I do not go to shooters express. Hope someone there reads this and takes the job of protecting their customer more serious. read more
