One of several pubs on the High Street of Garstang. We visited early on a Sunday evening and it was really busy as it was a karaoke night. There are loads of posters behind the bar advertising cheap house doubles, bottles of cheap wine etc. etc. The staff were friendly enough and the karaoke was fun to watch but unfortunately my husband's Theakston's beer was virtually undrinkable, vinegary and decidedly 'off'. On this occasion I'd opted for a lager which you can't really go wrong with, my beer drinker's instinct had kicked in and told me that it probably wasn't the best pub for a beer :-) The lager was fine, but my husband left three quarters of his pint. I know he could have taken it back and they'd have replaced it and so on and so forth, but it just wasn't worth the effort really. All in all, to be honest, the pub is basically a bit rough and ready and is definitely my least favourite Garstang pub. read more
