It's been a while since I've been to Bob's, and then it was ok. Today, our meals were nothing short…read moreof amazing. Our server and the staff were all friendly yet professional. There was very little wait time between orders and our water glasses were never past 1/2 empty. The cheese curds were light and crispy on the outside and melty gooey goodness on the inside. The bacon burger was a perfect medium and dripping with tasty juices. The sweet potato fries were perfect: crunchy outside and soft on the inside. And not too salty. The pulled pork sandwich was packed with tender juicy pork. Perfectly seasoned. So good, you don't really even need any BBQ sauce. The Mac & cheese has just the right amount of seasoning. Good balance between pasta and cheesy sauce. The brisket sandwich was unbelievable! The brisket was smoked perfect. Tender & juicy with just the right amount of fat. It pulled apart perfectly. And so flavorful. The sandwich was so packed, there was enough for lunch the next day. Just amazing brisket! Yeah....we're going back.

One was the sweet potato fries, which were super delicious and the other was their homemade applesauce, which was absolutely amazing. They had lots of sauces on the table to choose from. I really liked the classic barbecue and the Berry one. Everything tasted good. Our waitress was amazing and helped us pick up breakfast spot for the next morning. She was also just a really great waitress and super attentive. I would definitely recommend coming here.

A group of friends stopped here for dinner on a Saturday night and it was packed so we had to wait…read moreabout a 1/2 hour for a table which is ok because there is a bar 2 doors down to kill some. The place is small and loud with bright colors and art work all over the walls. The menu isn't huge with starters, bbq, burgers, sandwiches, entrees etc with specials that change. When you walk in you are hit with the amazing bbq smell so real smoking is going on in the back and after carefully looking over the menu with all the good items I opted for the Deacon which is smoked brisket, bacon, cheddar cheese which comes with frys. I personally didn't like any of the bbq sauces on the table which is ok because I like naked smoked meats. The brisket sandwich was very good on a fresh roll with melty cheddar cheese and if a couple onion rings were topped this would be next level for the sandwich. The brisket was tender but not melt in your with a nice pink smoke ring but way too lean, see my pictures because I would have like to have a little more fat for flavor. The frys looked house cut and and pretty good. The rib platter at the other looked pretty F'n good by the way. Overall this was a nice place to get some bbq in downtown Monroe but be prepared to wait for a table at peak times because it's very popular.

Wow, wow, wow. I m a foodie, and live in the tosa near Milwaukee, so no shortage of food options…read more But this place is fire. The food is AMAZINGLY good. It was too good for me to not leave a review. A coworker referred it to me, I was hesitant for awhile but finally decided to get dinner here one evening. Long story short, I was back there eating 3 more times before leaving the Monroe area. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the Monroe area.

I found out from our server that many of their items are made in house, which is great to hear in a restaurant landscape where everything is frozen and reheated! It might have a silly name and the decor might be "rundown chic", but the food and service is spectacular.

Checked out this funny and quirky restaurant in Galena. Durty Gurt's is a long time local favorite…read morewith drinks and food that's better than it looks. It may be kind of dumpy inside but the place is also full of crazy personality. A lot of the basics along with a few fancier items. The prices are pretty okay for the portions and quality. Basically if you're a group it will probably be waiting for a table so go early. It's one of the popular places to go around here. The last time coming here we got seats at the bar and there wasn't any waiting. Has a lot of cool memorabilia to look at. There's a bunch of funny signs on the walls. It's about $7 for a basic cocktail. The Fuzzy Navel is one of the classics you can get. It's about $13 for a burger and fries. They have a veggie burger that can substitute. We each got one of these. I got it with the toppings of the Basic Burger. These come with the usual toppings like lettuce, mayonnaise which I left off, onions, pickles, and tomatoes. She got it with the toppings of the Olive Burger. These come with cheddar, lettuce, mayonnaise, olives, onions, Swiss, and tomatoes. For sure it gets busy. It's located on Main at Franklin. They're closed Wednesdays.
