Called E-Z Local Movers and talked with Kathy the Owner. Was flat hourly rate with two hour minimum. She called day before to confirm move and movers called prior to arriving and confirmed move. Crew showed up on time (actually a little early) with ample help. Move took less than two hour minimum. Crew was courteous and move was handled with no problems. read more

We hired EZ local movers to load our apartment into two loads. They showed up with 8 guys. They were all over the place. I watched one of them break the mirror in the master bathroom closet door. Kathy (or Cathy) the owner denies any liability for the door. As we started the move my computer bag and laptop with a hotyspot and other important business data was on the counter. Near the end of the move it was gone. I brought the mirror and the computer to the supervisors attention. He handed me a claim form. He stated "good luck with that" and "there are too many people in the apartment. They were all his people otyher than my family! I contacted Kathy and agreed that we would empty the boxes at the opposite end and see if the computer was put in a box. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. No computer. It was clearly taken by one of the movers. I contacted Kathy to come to her office to fill out the claim. She continues to tell me she is not in the office and she refuses to send me a claim form. She has texed me a long list of excusses, none of which hold water. She arguse that I have no proof that their guy took it. Then she stated that she is only liable for furniture they moved. I offered a $1000 reward for its return no questions asked. Again she staes there is no proof. I informed her that I filed a police reopt. The next thing I received from Kathy is a string of texs between her and a guy named Obi. I remember him due to the unusual name. She now claims that they suspected he was the one whotook the computer all along. I tried to explaint to her that this is a start but it dies not release her company from the responsiblity. We got no confirmation call and they were two hours late, but they did a great job. This was for a cross town move on a Saturday and there was a big move before us that ran long. They did call when they were headed our way though. Crew was very polite and all our stuff was carried and loaded with care. I would hire them again. read more

We engaged E-Z Moving to move offices for my company. In the process, they literally drilled twenty holes through the top of our mahogany conference table- completely destroying it. Despite my prior requests, they also dragged furniture and did not using any moving blankets- in the process deeply scratching up our new wood floor in several places. It was a complete disaster. While acknowledging the damage, they offered up $180.00 for the damage (only covering a fraction of the cost of the move) and no apology. There is absolutely no reason for this company to be in business or to use their services. read more

Move was fast and efficient and the crew was friendly. However, they did not take responsibility for all items damaged in the move. They had an open trailer and drove my kitchen table through a tree, breaking one of the legs off. They did offer compensation for that, but not for the refrigerator doors that were damaged beyond repair. read more

If I could leave Zero Stars, I would. I chose this company because of the online reviews and because the rates were comparable to others I called. To start with, the move was scheduled for a Monday morning at 9 am. I was told that there was a two hour minimum, and there would be a crew of 4 people to load the large trailer. Considering I was moving 2 bedrooms of a 3 bedroom house, the large trailer should fit all of my belongings. They did not have to move any boxes, clothing, breakables, etc. They were ONLY moving furniture. The entire appointment started off badly when they arrived at 8:20 am, with a small trailer and a crew of 7, not 4 people. One would think more people would be a good thing when you are paying by the house, but let me explain why this was so frustrating. First, since they were 40 minutes early, contractors at the new house had to scramble to be out of the way of the movers. Secondly, they backed into my driveway, opened the back end of a camper on a truck, and this crew started piling out like circus clowns. I was alone at the old house, with someone else at the new house to direct traffic upon arrival....imagine how hard it is to watch 8 people, 7 loading your belongings, and 1 pointing his finger, and make sure that you don't witness anything being taken or broken. The second thing that frustrated me was that they had a small trailer, which ended up requiring two trips from the old home to the new home. Then the man in charge could not understand why I was upset by this. I asked him if he thought it was fair that since he brought the small trailer that I was having to pay extra because it was going to take so much longer with extra trips. He couldn't understand what I meant....they charge by the hour, not the trip. He couldn't understand that making extra trips was going to take longer, hence, costing more. Lastly, upon arrival at the new home, they stacked most of the furniture in the garage, even when I told them that it needed to be placed somewhere else. They did not put back together the beds they took apart, a leg was broken off of a sleeper sofa, the hard resin decorative scrolling in my TV console was broken, and they did not have the tools needed to put my dining room table back together. They also decided the sleeper sofa wouldn't fit where I wanted it, and I had to show them how to move it and get it into the room. 7 of them couldn't figure out how that they needed to back up, turn the sofa 90 degrees clockwise, then start over. This was by far the most unprofessional moving service I have ever used, and that includes my buddies that helped me move in college with nothing but a truck bed. read more

Please please for the love of God - do not use EZ Local Moving Company. They use a small trailer - which means they had to do two trips. The men that moved my belongings horribly mishandled them. I repeatedly asked them to handle my antique furniture (family heirloom) in a certain manner - they discarded my requests. Priceless pieces ever seriously damaged. There were too man guy making it difficult to keep up with them. Some of the guys (I suspect "day laborer") were kind and worked hard. But the were obviously not professional furniture movers. As I unpack - I discover more and more damage. Ridiculous. I filled out a claims for. The owner sent me a $100 dollars to compensate of which I found insulting but I do not have the time nor energy to take her to small claims court - though I certainly should. I hope Yelp will allow reads the ability to read bad reviews- run as fast as you can from the company. read more

This is the worst moving company do not use them! They broke over $ 1,000.00 dollars worth of sentimental items. The workers were not careful and dropped fragile boxes. Their supervisor was not in control of the guys on how they stacked the items and the boxes fell all over the place in our garage and broke expensive items. WARNING DO NOT USE! read more
