That seemed like it would make us unpopular with the neighborhood, so I found Junk Removal and gave them a call. They gave us a bid, which they honored. They showed up within a day, picked up the bookshelves from inside the house, and hauled them off. When we called about the water beds, they showed up promptly and had them loaded up (they were in the backyard) before we knew they were there. The service may seem a little pricey to some, but we were more than willing to pay to get the stuff hauled off.
