I rarely leave negative reviews because I understand that accidents can happen, and I generally don't like to damage a business's reputation. In fact, I almost didn't post this. However, after my experience, I feel it's important to share it so others can make an informed decision. I previously used this company and had a great experience, which is why I hired them again. As a Realtor, I've also referred multiple clients to them over the years. Unfortunately, this move was very different. During the move, my 65-inch TV was damaged beyond repair, my husband's smoker cover was ripped causing scratches to the smoker lid, another smoker had a wheel bent, and the nuts and bolts for our trampoline were lost. After filing a claim, I was offered only a little over $100 for all of the damage. The only other reimbursement I received was the $150 I had paid for them to move the trampoline, which was refunded at the end of unloading and before the insurance claim was submitted. Before I could even submit a claim, I had difficulty getting in touch with the moving company. After multiple phone calls and an urgent email, I finally received a response a day later stating the employee had been out sick for most of the week. While I understand that illnesses happen, I was disappointed there wasn't a backup process for responding to customers reporting damage. My biggest concern was what happened before the move even started. I was handed a tablet and told to sign so they could begin loading. The screen contained only a signature box with nothing to read. I later learned the document I had supposedly signed limited their liability to just $0.60 per pound and indicated I had declined full-value protection. That was never explained or offered to me. Had the document actually been displayed, I would have read it, as I always do before signing anything. The unloading process also felt rushed because the crew had a nearly six-hour drive home and another move early the next morning. My move had been scheduled well in advance, so this should not have come as a surprise. By the end, the owner appeared frustrated and was rude, which I found unprofessional. I'm not writing this review to bash anyone. I genuinely wanted this move to go well, especially after my previous positive experience and the referrals I've sent their way. I simply want others to be aware of my experience, ask questions about valuation coverage before signing anything, and understand what the claims process may look like if something valuable is damaged. I truly don't want anyone to go through what we have with this whole process. read more

Big win for hiring the folks at It's Your Move- IYM out of Odessa, Texas! The loaders/packers are top notch and hard working! Tony, Jr and Oscar were AMAZING!!!! They treated our household goods with care and made sure they were protected and secured in truck. They worked hard and steady. I am beyond satisfied with the job they did!!!! I was very skeptical about using a moving company because I feel I'm not old enough to need one but I'm glad I did! Conrad and his team called me 30 minutes ahead to let me know they were on their way. They showed up a few minutes later. We had to move the apartment and a storage unit. They had us moved in right at 2 hours. Their truck was high quality and the team was very friendly. Unfortunately, a few scratches were had on our refrigerator but It's Your Move took care of the issue quickly and far above what I expected sending me a whole new door and handles! Just moved us across town and they did a fantastic job! On time, professional, took good care of our belonging and QUICK. Had a four person crew moving a three bedroom house. These guys were amazing! We moved from Houston and were originally scheduled for early in the afternoon but after having rain delays we called them to let them know and they quickly moved the next appointment ahead of us and said to to let them know our progress and to be careful and drive safely. We arrived in Midland at 6pm and they arrive at 6:30! The guys moved an entire uhaul truck in just over an hour and we are on the third floor! These guys did an amazing job with moving me and my fiancee. They did two apartments and got us moved into our home we bought all within about 3 hours. That's loading their truck up and down stairs at TWO different apartments and unloading everything into a home. The move itself was not bad, but the arrival time was inexcusably late. First we arranged for arrival between 11-2. Then, I got a call that it would be 2-4. This would have been fine except the crew came after 6:00. It became a VERY late move in the dark. I had boarded the dog at daycare so he could avoid the chaos but that was useless because we had to pick the dog up before the movers came. Also, while friendly and polite several movers had alcohol on their breath; it was unmistakable. We were the third move that day, so I guess they needed that. The staff at the office who was very communicative throughout really wanted to rush and get off the phone when I was making the final payment. I was not sure if this was because it was late and she wanted to go home or because she wanted to get off the phone before I started complaining. I felt like they didn't care because of this closing. Again, the move itself was okay, no items lost & no damage. Friendly crew. But I would be hesitant to work with them again because of delay and alcohol. read more

I used them the last year on 3 moves. The last move was horrible. They were very slow and damaged some of my furniture.

It's Your Move responded quickly to our call, and provided a competitive quote. We hired a three man crew to load our 26' U-Haul truck, and they had it securely loaded and packed in less than three hours. The crew was courteous and very professional. All we had to do was tell them what to load. The best part is that after riding for seven hours in a big bouncing truck, all the furniture including a lot of glass and mirrors arrived safely and still in place.
