Let me start by saying that I drove from the Elk Grove area to find this place! We finally caved and bought a new TV. TVs are becoming like cell phones, with the expansive technology, older models keep slowing down. I couldn't immediately find this place because the business is located in an industrial area of Rancho Cordova and I'm not a local resident. But as I drove closer, spotted a bunch of tv's outside the open bay door and pulled into a designated parking spot, figured this must be it! One lady was like speed walk racing me to approach the employee, but of course she had parked first so I wasn't about to waste two extra seconds racing ahead. I actually had time to spare. She was informed that due to policy, there are VERY minimal amounts due, such as for old bulky printers. This lady SCOFFED at the idea of paying 10 bucks. I couldn't contain giggles once she drove away and Colby politely introduced himself and mentioned how many people always seem surprised by these low amounts to hand over antiquated equipment. Money has to be made somewhere, HELLO. Anyways, Colby was a pleasure to interact with and I would highly recommend this place for all stuff not needed from a professional E-waste center. Also, check website prior to visiting go be educated on what to expect. Thanks for reading! read more

I believe most reviews are old. This is April 2026. They basically want you to have an appointment to drop the item or items off (I believe MWF) yet I went on a Thursday, in person around to the back of the building and rang the bell, but I was told they truly do not have Tues/Thursday drop off as one of the websites stated (its outdated). However, Erik answered the bell and took my TV. The problem is there are very few (sometimes 1) employee and thus the frustration when no one answers. It was free for my 43" TV and I was happy to dispose of it. They give you a receipt so you cannot just drop off outside and leave the items. They are connected to https://www.ewaste411.com - I had no problem at all but I can see how others could - next time, I will make an appointment. So of course I am very happy! read more

Very convenient place to drop most of your ewaste and chemical waste. It took me less than 5 minutes on a Tues. afternoon to drop some batteries, broken PC, cd player, and dirty coolant. read more

Went in today to recycle a few items. I wanted to recycle a few tvs with power cords, cable cords and an old stereo with speakers. The tvs were able to be taken for free, but wanted to charge for the stereo and speakers. (Even though on the website stereo and speakers were under the list of free items) So, I kept the stereo and speakers. They do ask for your ID because they take your name and address and they also ask for your telephone number. You also have to sign a paper. The reason I gave three stars is because when I first arrived, the guy working there was walking back and forth to a food truck ( I arrived about an hour after they opened) and didn't even acknowledge me when I drove up. A simple " I'll be right with you" would have sufficed. It's overall a simple and easy process, but will probably go elsewhere in the future. read more

Once a year, we get a street-side dump day, but considering how much stuff I had, I thought it would be beneficial to get rid of the TVs since they are the old tube-type, massive and heavy. This place takes your E-Waste TVs and monitors for free other items might be a charge also will pick up large items depending on your location. All I did was pull up to the backside of the building, and one of the workers helped unload the TVs, weighted them, signed a paper, and was on my way within a few minutes: such an easy, quick process and a great way to get rid of your old junk. read more

Over the years I've recycled a lot of electronics. Most of the time this involves sitting in a queue to be treated as though you are an inconvenience to the person collecting your items. Not here. Colby was polite, efficient, and even apologized for having to fill out the required paperwork. I was dropping off a fried computer and an old monitor. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes! And the cost was perfect: free! A quick aside: Apple Maps takes you to the wrong entry off the street. Look for the ewaste drop off sandwich board on the lawn next the correct entrance. read more

I dropped off my old TV a few weeks ago and the process was very quick. They removed the TV from my trunk and got some of my info. I was there and out in about 5 minutes. Oh, and Colby was helpful. He deserves a raise. read more

Been three times, can be hit or miss depending on who is working there or the time of day. My first trip, I showed up and waited around outside. The one person working was in the back and waited a bit before he came out. Not a big deal, he's the only one working so there are only so many places he can be at once. After he came out, was very friendly and the whole process was smooth and easy. The second time was a little bit rougher. I had a milk crate worth of stuff I missed on for the first trip, so had to come back a week later. I showed up 30 minutes before closing, and again waited a bit before the same employee working came out from the back. But this time when he saw me he gave out a loud "are you kidding me?!". Not great, but it was a 100 degree afternoon in June shortly before closing so I could understand. He calmed down when he saw I just had a milk crate of random stuff and not a giant 300 pound TV and the rest of the process went fine like the previous time. The third time I went was bad. I needed to recycle a lithium ion battery and the EPA site pointed here. I show up and again, no one is around. Seeing as how I'm used to someone being in the back I take a step inside just to see if I can peak around the corner and see if anyone is there. Eventually a different employee who looked like he coming back from a coffee run comes up to me and asks what I'm doing. I said I was here to drop off something. He then says there is clearly a keep out sign, which I was a whole one step behind. I replied that I was just looking if anyone was actually here (since I'm used to waiting for someone in the back to notice I'm here). Well I guess that touched a nerve with Mr. Coffee because the next thing he said to me was to leave. This was also only 30 minutes after they opened, so it's not like I was barging in while they were still getting ready to open So I guess your experience here can be luck of the draw. read more

Colby is a Rockstar!! Very polite, helpful and friendly. I was in and out within in minutes. Great job!

In the words of the immortal Kermit the Frog, "It's not easy being green!" That aphorism rang true as I trekked through Hell and Creation to find an environmentally correct way to dispose of a dead microwave. I had some errands to do in Rancho Cordova anyway, and thought I knew the area pretty well, so I looked this place up on-line and decided to swing by. The place is a bit hard to find. Sunrise Gold Circle is a big loop off of Sunrise Boulevard, south of the intersection with Folsom Boulevard. Street numbering may throw you a bit... I had to do the loop twice to find number 11500. Once you pull in to this industrial warehouse-looking lot, a sign directs you to the back where ERS will unload your vehicle. There was a cute Tomboyish chick back there working on her truck and hanging out with her dog (Taylor) who helped me out. Unfortunately, they didn't accept microwaves (which I would've known if I checked the website "accepted items" link first). But she gave me directions to the dump which ended up being another adventure altogether. Regardless, it's nice to know where I can drop off e-waste with ease. Kermit the Frog and actual amphibians will thank you for contributing to the protection of their sensitive habitat. read more

First time visiting the center and it was a very positive experience and very easy to get to. Colby unloaded the car identifying those items that had a fee to recycle and why. He is courteous, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. Try it out - I now have more space in my garage! submitted by Jursey read more

We recently donated/recycled 2 laptops and 2 computer towers at this location. Prior to this, we had already removed the hard drives ourselves. However, I believe they also offer services to wipe hard drives as well for a reasonable price. It was free to recycle our computers though. The drop off area is right around back of the shop. When you see the ERS sign, just drive around to the back and you will see a blue dumpster and a bunch of old computers piled up. A nice gentleman helped us carry the computers into the warehouse area. And that was it. Easy as pie. Their website lists acceptable items for recycle. Check it out for other non-computer needs. read more

So happy to find E-Waste as an option for cleaning up my garage and clutter. They take many electronic items for free. Had one printer and that was a $10 fee. My garage is much bigger again! read more

Back in June 2018 I took my old tv to the recycling center. There was only one staff member available from what I saw when I showed up, so in order to remove the tv from my truck he used their forklift. After he had pulled it over and parked it we started to push the tv onto the forklift. While we were doing this the forklift started to slowly move forward toward my truck and ended up scratching my tailgate. I was terrified while the forklift was moving toward my truck because my two toddlers were seated inside. The forklift operator wrote a detailed description of events and gave me the information to contact his employer. I contacted his employer, explained to him what happened and gave him an estimate for repairs. To this day he has not taken responsibility for the damages or made effort to help with repairs. I am truly disappointed they couldn't step up and take care of the damage that they caused. read more

I had a 55 in Sony LCD TV with a huge back panel and very heavy which I need to get rid of. I live close to Best Buy so I was hoping they would take it since their website says they will. And they did not. Tried OfferUp and Craigslist listed as free but no takers. Then looking for a place to recycle I found this company located very close to my work. This is a No hassle recycling. The guy helped me unload the stuff and got me to sign a piece of paper and within a couple of minutes off I went. I will definitely recommend this place and will come back next time. read more

Dropped off 3 computers today for free when it would take the city a month to come pick it up. Super quick, friendly staff, and they unloaded my vehicle for me. read more

Once I found it, (signage is a little understated), the polite and courteous staff unloaded my vehicle. I don't think masks are needed outside, in the open air, but they were conscientiously masked anyway. I don't know what items might have incurred a charge, but my old computer and electronics were accepted without a fee. This is a valuable service to me and allowed me to keep this stuff out of a land fill. Nice! read more

We recently recycled 3 old PC towers at ERS E-Waste and had the hard drives securely destroyed at only $5/each. I couldn't figure out even how to access some of our old hard drives let alone really destroy them so this was handy especially if you're in the area. It was fast and easy. Their website lists accepted items - basically electronics, tv's but no home appliances. And they indicate free pickup too and commercial service. It wasn't hard to find for us. 5 stars if they took additional types of home items, oh well.... read more

They took everything out of my car, which was helpful as I just had a medical procedure earlier in the morning, and all I had to do was fill out a form and I was done. I appreciate the politeness and professionalism of the staff, and I'll come back when I have more e-waste to recycle. Recommended. read more
