You grab 3 trash bins that they provide to separate your cans, glass, and plastic. Then you just line up, a gentleman will double check your separation, weigh, and you get your cash right there! None of the workers came out to greet us or ask if we needed any help when we first got there. There was one guy who politely asked if I needed help bringing my garbage bins up to the weighing area while I was already in line, which I gladly accepted. The cashier was friendly, quick to sort the bins, weigh, and pay. The area is a little tight with a few dedicated parking spots. It is between the liquor store and the auto parts store, in a driveway into the shopping center. So it's busy with traffic, other customers and not the cleanest area, but they got the job done, and I was grateful that they were open on a Sunday. I'll use them again!

So the turn around time to get an empty bin was longer than I've ever experienced at other recycling centers. BUT DOUBLE CHECK YOUR PAYMENT. I brought aluminum cans and plastic bottles. My slip clearly said #1 for plastics, but yet the lady at the desk put "scrap plastic" which was only 0.05/lb vs 1.46/lb I was supposed to receive. I'm semi new to recycling but I knew something was wrong when I only received $8 payment. When I took it back and told her, she had to look for my original paper that she had ripped to double check. Thankfully it all got sorted out.

The guys were very helpful and polite. I was even offered a soft drink while I waited for a fax to come through. This is a scrap yard and it should be "filled with metal scraps and random people just wandering around" doing there jobs. People come and go as they should in a place of business. I had a truck bed full of motors, unstripped copper wire, stainless, copper, and mild steel. It was all weighed separately and full detail was on the receipt. For those with business licenses you get cash immediately and for personal they said it can take up to 3 business days. They even gave me a fortune cookie!!

It does feel a little intimidating to be around such huge dump trucks. Here I am in my small Nissan SUV.... But the process as a whole is pretty easy. Like just be aware what's going on and your surroundings. There is usually a person out at the dump field there to guide you in. That person will tell you where to go and dump your items. Pretty easy, just wear shoes. When exiting: remember to wait your turn before going up the ramp.... They weigh that person ahead of you and charge them accordingly. If the scale is clear, then it's your turn to go up the small ramp and get yourself weighed in. Because I don't really have much (according to dumpster), the cost is usually at $35. They accept credit cards too which is nice.

He just lowered his glasses and said "Look like that's gonna be about $285."
