It was great to find someplace open on a Sunday, and they are close to home. They were a little busy when we got there around 10:30am, but they are fast. None of the workers came out to greet us or ask if we needed any help when we first got there. There was one guy who politely asked if I needed help bringing my garbage bins up to the weighing area while I was already in line, which I gladly accepted. The cashier was friendly, quick to sort the bins, weigh, and pay. The area is a little tight with a few dedicated parking spots. It is between the liquor store and the auto parts store, in a driveway into the shopping center. So it's busy with traffic, other customers and not the cleanest area, but they got the job done, and I was grateful that they were open on a Sunday. I'll use them again! read more

I love recycling here. I like to come right when they open between 9am-10am when it isn't so busy. The guys who work here are very nice. I crush my cans at home and separate the plastic bottles in different bags. This makes the dumping of recycling easier when I get to Ocean's. I am able to bring a couple of cans and in one can put the aluminum and in the other, the plastic bottles. I do collect months at a time and then go to Ocean's with a bigger haul with bags of both plastic and cans to recycle and I do end up getting anywhere between $30-$40. Super easy and super fast! I went on a Saturday morning and the lot was packed! But we were in and out in less than 30 minutes. You grab 3 trash bins that they provide to separate your cans, glass, and plastic. Then you just line up, a gentleman will double check your separation, weigh, and you get your cash right there! Ocean's Recycling may look like just another bare bones recycling center tucked into a strip mall, and for all intents and purposes, they are. What sets them apart, however, is speed and efficiency. Today was my second time visiting Ocean's Recycling. My first time here was great but today was FANTASTIC!! This is a small place but very efficient. It is located off of Franklin and Mack Road. It is on the west side of the old Raley's grocery that has closed. With that being said.....plenty of parking!! BONUS!!! They operate very similar to all other recycling place. You must separate your plastic bottles from your aluminum cans and glass bottles and so on. This part would be wise if you had your home set up so all are separated. When I arrived here, there were lots of people at their vehicle separating. I got lucky mine just had to be emptied in their trash bins to be weighed! This trip I was able to bring all of my "other" plastic recyclables to clear my garage! ( They took the milk and juice containers. Oooooh....the laundry detergent containers, too. ) When I was ready to push the bins over, the young gentlemen ran right over to help me! Basically....I was in and out within 20 minutes. The lines went QUICK!! Overall, small place but efficient. Super CLEAN work area. The employees have been very nice and helpful. Fast service. Love this place!! I'll be back.... read more

I came here after collecting a year or so of drinking the Pacific Oceans volume in canned coffee and sparkling water. The staff here were all men and helpful. One of them saw me unloading my cans and brought me some extra trash cans so I didn't have to keep going back and forth. After helping me go through all of the cans, he helped me bring them to the scale area and I was promptly helped by another fellow. The whole exprience took about 10 minutes. They're located between an Auto parts store and another buying, so it may be hard to find the recycling center. The area is rough, just keep your head on a swivel and you will be fine. First time going to this place so I wasn't sure what I was doing. I ask the cashier and she wasn't very helpful. She just pointed to the area with a pile of bins. So they have 3 different bins. One for glass only, one for aluminum and plastic (separately), and one for scrap metal. I did not realized that at the time. But once I got everything sorted, there wasn't really anyone at the scale to help or guide me. I had to figure it out myself (wasn't difficult). I've had better service at other recycling centers so my review is based on that. As for the price, they seem reasonable. I can't attest to that since I don't recycle often and I don't really shop around for prices. read more

I brought my aluminum cans and plastic bottles to this recycling place for the first time this afternoon. It's located West of Auto Zone. I had a difficult time finding it. It was pretty busy mid afternoon and some people had large quantities so it seemed that people were all scrambling for the plastic cans to dump their recycling into. This place is my spot. I usually go recycle my cans, glass bottle or plastic bottle. However, there is always a downside to it, is... they don't collect any plastic bottle that doesn't say CRV. However, what tip me off is, they will trick you and said some plastic bottle that did not said CRV, but in fact it do. So they do occasionally jipped customers on their cans and tell them to throw it away so you can't claim most of your profit. Just beware of that! read more

Live in Elk Grove but come here to redeem my cans and plastics. The ones in EG are too crowded. This place have up'd their game with more workers and rules but that's good. Rules to keep people out of the thorough way and safe but I don't know the purpose of keeping folks and their redemptions segregated but there must be a reason. Workers are pleasant and quick. Just have to watch for the guy separating cans and bottles in line but those idiots are everywhere. If you're not familiar with this hood you might want to stay away or at least not stray deeper into the woods. I grew up here, graduated from Bloodbank 30 years ago and bot my first house nearby so ain't no prob fo me dat much. Just gots to keep yo eyes open and yo bootie away at night. read more

This place is a super fast way to get rid of all your cans and bottles. I got about $25 for 4 trash bins worth. That's about 3 months of saving bottles And cans in my house. It's in South Sac in a little plaza, kind of hidden. You just walk up and ask for how many trash bins you think you'll need. I asked them a few questions and they all seemed happen to answer. They DONT take hard liquor bottles. Only downside to this place is that it's super tiny. Otherwise great spot and I'll be coming back! read more

"Recycle, reduce, reuse... and close the loop!" Anybody else remember this song? There was a line of people the first time I came, so I left and came back a few weeks later. I had a bunch of plastic water bottles and dumped them into a grungy trash can. The water bottles were then weighed and I was paid- easy. When I was there, I was surprised to see milk jugs being recycled by others. I'll just stick to water bottles though. read more

Came here early I had my mothers recycling which she saves a good amount I had about 8-10 black bags of plastic and cans after i unloaded almost all had 2 left the worker told me They couldn't take my recycle because it looked like it was over 100pounds so I told him why didn't u say early or post a sign waiting until I unloaded almost all then he says u can go leave a few bags and come back which I did when I came back the guy different guy say have u been here before I said yes he said u can't come Here twice so there I go unloaded everything again to have to load it back came here because of the reviews first and last time I come they could be more professional and post a sign that no more then 100 pounds Can be recycle read more

First time customer. I had a bit of trouble finding it as it's a small place tucked away in a shopping plaza with FoodsCo and other businesses. Once I found it, I got parking nearby (may not always be close by!). The people there were nice and had plenty of plastic/rubber bins to use to sort your recyclables. Customer service seemed to be good as it was crowded, but one was able to get info about what they were paying and how to do things there. The only neg I had was it could be no close parking if crowded. Otherwise, I would give it a full five-stars. I will make sure to go there at off-peak hours in the morning next time. Relied on the reviews before choosing where to take my recycling. This place is definitely worth the high score. They were so helpful. My granddaughter had been saving recycling for 2 years so we completely filled the back of my truck with about 15 black lawn/garden sized bags of recycling. The gentleman there was so nice and even helped us sort everything since it was our first time. I haven't compared rates but others have said the rates are fair and they did seem to be. Been here twice already and the guys here are always so helpful and greet me and my boyfriend everytime!! Their services are quick and we were in an out in no time! We came on Friday morning/afternoon-ish around 11:30-12ish.
