My sons starting collecting recyclables for $$. We've been going to Mings every 3-4 months. They are well organized and for a recycling place they are clean for as clean a recycling place can be. They spray sanitizer on the bins after each use and employees wear gloves and masks. They are super friendly and help explain how to sort your recyclables. They exchange rate is better than some smaller places too. We will continue to come here. read more

Everybody hustling here. It's actually awe inspiring. To see the guy maneuver the forklift is a thing of beauty. Tons of hard working staff who will help you out if you're new to the scene here. Yes, there's a lot of crushed cans and debris on the ground but don't wear flip flops, get a tetanus shot and stop crying. Great place 1/2 mile or so behind the municipal airport for your cardboard, plastic, and aluminum recyclables. We dropped off a truck full of cardboard boxes. We drop off hundreds of pounds of cardboard every month as well as our plastic, glass and aluminum recyclables. PROCEED WITH CAUTION. They WILL LIE, CHEAT and STEAL. I took recyclables in for a friend, a father with 3 little girls to feed. I was helping them. The cash they gave me for the recyclables WAS LESS THAN WHAT WAS ON THEIR OWN RECEIPT. What happens when the till does not add up at the end of the day? Or, was the action deliberate? I put it in the passenger, back seat, and trunk where it's completely full and most places I have received 30-40$ i don't understand why I came here and only received 15$ ?! I stopped by two recycling spots last Sunday.. all of them were closed. Luckily Yelp was there to save the day as usual. the parking lot was ok, kind of organized badly given the layout of the machines and where the tubs were located. The folks there were as friendly as I would expect someone who is working hard with smelly shit all day. I didnt feel I was ripped off but I wasn't being that careful either with my cans. I felt they went pretty fast for the amount of machines they had. They really should drag the tubs closer to the parking area. parking..then going for tubs then rolling them back over the crappy potholed lot is kinda a pain...but they were open so they got my business :D read more

This was my first time here and the process was super easy. The staff aren't exactly talkative but they're polite (pleases and thank yous, which is all I care about). I put my bottles in a bin, they weighed it, gave me a yellow slip that I took to the cashier and then I got paid. I love how they have a flow -- it makes the process a lot more clear and honestly gave me less anxiety. They helped me pretty quickly too considering it was busy when I got there. Glad I have a dependable bottle recycling place to go to. They also take a ton of other aluminum and scrap metal if you're looking for somewhere for that stuff too. read more

I normally recycle at my neighborhood recycling center but it was extremely busy and slow! I decided to check out "Yelp" for help! I found Ming's Recycling not too far away! I am so glad I came. They have their own parking lot so there's ample parking!! This is more of an industrial like setting. You park your car. Go get a cart and as many big recycling trash cans as you'll need. You must separate your CRV plastic bottles , aluminum cans, and glass bottles!!! NOTE TO SELF: Separate at home!! That way it's just a matter of putting it in the correct barrel!! After that, you just push your cart to the line and wait your turn. The guys who work here are AWESOME! They work SUPER hard and are quick! They even helped me with my stuff. After they weigh everything...a gentleman comes over for you to sign your ticket. You then go to another window to cash in your ticket!! This is a business. An industrial like setting. Everyone here works extremely hard and earns every single dollar!! Some are full of smiles and others are quiet. Nothing wrong with that. All these guys hustle so that we can get home faster!! Ming's WAS my favorite recycler for my annual recycling. I save and smash for a year for my household and my disabled parents. Ming's WAS incredibly efficient and quite friendly also! I never had to wait very long at all. I drove from Roseville because of this! Governor Newsom, the legislators, and the CA buyback personnel should spend a day volunteering at a facility like yours. I think they may learn something or at least feel guilty about the HUUUUGE CRV budget surplus they are sitting on! Newsom said there were plans to correct this imbalance by doubling redemption (spend a nickel, get a dime at recycle time). These rat bastards have our money and use it to make our lives more difficult! It's the perfect program to help those that ; 1) Need money 2) Are helping to recycle 3) The taxpayers who want balanced budgets. I'm sorry to see you go. Checked this place out after reading past reviews. I was not disappointed. The men working there are really friendly and helpful. Told I was new to recycling and it was my first time there. They accept all types of plastic bottles. Make sure to keep caps on...adds to more weight. Do not take any papers off as they will not accept plastics. I learned the first time what to do and accept next time I come. This place is pretty busy the 2 times I came, but they help you get through the line quickly. I used to like this place but today I was disappointed after seeing how rude and incompetent some of the employees are here. An elderly couple took out a lot of cans to recycle and were told that they were not able to pay their cans because they exceeded a certain amount. All the old man said to the employee is that he should've been told this prior to unloading all the cans. The employee started yelling at the elderly couple saying "if you don't like it here then get the __ out, I don't have time for your bs blablabla" the elderly couple had a young daughter/grandchild around 10 years old that started crying and told the employee to stop yelling at her family and the employee continued to tell her to "shut the ___ up". The employee continued to say very explicit words. He yelled and humiliated them in front of a lot of people. Only 1 person stood up to put him in his place. The employee looked scared when the gentleman told him to stop treating customers like trash. The employee threatened to call the police on the gentleman that defended the elderly couple. The gentleman said "go ahead and call the police, I'm just letting you know that you shouldn't yell elderly people or young children that way". Only after the gentleman stood up did the other employees say anything. I didn't get this employees name but he was big and morbidly obese. He was of Asian descent. Another employee that was also Asian was also yelling at the couple. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Nobody deserves to be treated like these customers were treated. read more

Great, helpful staff. My first time here and it was a very easy process. If you have your cans in trash bags, you dont need the blue barrels. You just need a cart and a staff member brings it to you. If I can give this place a zero star I would. This place is horrible and will cheat their customers. They are rude and disrespectful especially the person who weight in the cans. My father took his cans in for recycled and came back with zero in his pocket because the associate who weight in the cans demand for the cash back stating that my father's partner has already claimed his portion. It doesn't make any sense since they both came in separately and also has separate receipts. The cashier would've known the difference between two different receipts along with two separate customers. They could've helped with the misunderstanding but they chose not to help their customers and take the money back. My father did try to explain but they forced him out. This place is not a professional place if you plan on taking a load of cans. So beware. read more

They require 20 pounds of wire and I was only a few pounds lower..this is their way of getting you to leave it. There was an amount on the scale, I was honest and said this was abandoned by some one else. Then they said , I need 20 pounds of a single grade.. and I had three types of grade.. for this I will throw it away.. I recall a few years ago I was moving and I was just a pound under the amount . the guy was rude and I left it on the scale and they did not even process it.. What they do is no doubt collect and pocket the money.. for bottles, they are o k. The people who work in bottle section are nice but they always have a rude person in the wire and metal section.. you always have to have some one go over to that section read more

Called and made arrangements to scrap out some aluminum - agreed on 50 cents per lb over the phone so I brought it down. First there was a couple screws in it (maybe 6-7 out of over 80lb) and he said he'd only pay 13 cents per lb unless I removed the screws. I removed the screws, and then he tried to offer 35 cents a pound. No way bucko - no bait and switch, no low-ball. Went to Schnitzer Steel in Rancho and got full price the same day. read more

I come here to get the best pricing selling of CRV plastic bottles & aluminum cans. This isn't your neighborhood recycling where its clean and friendly, where you come only to dump off your couple of bags of un-crushed can. Its big business here. You come truckload or you go home. Their facilities can handle large deposits. They give you freakin commercial hand carts and commercial rubber garbage cans to haul your goods from your car to their weighing stations. We normally go to RePlanet but they were close today (Monday-we forgot) so we searched for one close to us and this one popped up. Never been here. We got here at noon (their lunch time), grabbed a cart and tubs, unload our car and waited. After 12:30pm, we saw about 5 guys rolling in once they started, man, they were going. We were 5th in line and were out of there in less than 10 minutes. These guys were fast! I've never waited such a short time at a recycling center. Mad props to these guys who work so hard. This is one of the best recycling centers in the area and they do not rip you off. Staff is very helpful without giving you and poop and do not get irritated with you if you make a mistake. The smell is not as bad at this location as other locations I have visited. They are open and working when it rains. Who does that? Crazy. read more

Ming's Recycling is wonderful. The one I use is conveniently located on 47th Ave. off Hwy 99W. It has a place to park, unload your vehicle, sort your goods and collect your $$$ in a very expedient way. They are always professional, friendly and helpful. David is awesome...always helpful and a gentleman. Watch out for their lunchtime though. They stop for lunch between noon and 12:30 pm. But you can still pull in, sort and unload your recyclables during that time. read more
