Then they found out GM no longer manufactured my engine, so it would cost $7K for them to put in a used one. That didn't sound right to me, so I called Coffey to see when I could bring my car by the shop. I didn't tell them what the other repair shop told me. Coffey said it was the thermostat, and charged me $372. A big difference from $7K. Needless to say, I won't be going back to the shop that tried to cheat me. They figured a gray-haired old lady was stupid. They were wrong!

We decided to have it checked out, to see what the problem was. (We could see $$$ in our minds.) Coffey's has performed other work on our cars, in the past, so we took it to them and left it, while they investigated the problem. A couple of hours later, David called and told us the A/C was working and we could come pick it up. The best part: it cost us a lot less than other repair shops wanted to charge! These guys are the best at what they do!! They are trustworthy and very accommodating. Do yourself, and your wallet, a big favor. I was ok with that. He made his diagnosis then ordered parts from advanced auto parts. He calls me when he's picking up the part saying the store ordered and quoted him for the wrong part. At this point I'm completely understanding. He sends me a link to order the correct part. I ordered the part and then let him know it arrived. He came out to fix the car. I told him I was at work so my mom would be the primary contact and told him to reach out to her for anything. He comes out and starts working. I get a call from him at work. He didn't want to call my mom because he knew she was going to be livid. He couldn't do the job. He said there was a part that he needed that he didn't have. I'm irritated at this point but I appreciated him not doing a janky job just for the money. So I called around and eventually found a shop to tow the car to. Come to find out the part he had me order was the wrong part. So he was completely incompetent when it came to this job. Now I have to start completely over and I paid him $150 for him to give wrong information. I will not be calling him again and neither should you!

I wanted to wait awhile before writing this review because of my unique experience with Christian…read moreBrothers. It started about 2 months ago when my engine seized and I was stuck at the Infiniti dealership in Charlotte. They told me it would cost approximately $18,000.00 for a new engine and my heart dropped. I asked Infiniti who would they recommend to do an engine replacement and they said Christian Brothers. I called Christian Brothers and spoke with Logan, he was able to give me some good information on my situation and based on our conversation, I decided to have my vehicle brought to t he eir shop. Logan was able to confirm what Infiniti told me and offered several options on how to move forward. He was in constant contact with me every step of the process of replacing my engine. However, come to find out that not only did I need to replace my engine but also the transmission because it was damaged due to the seized engine. It was news that I hated to hear yet I did trust that Logan was being honest with me and he did work with me on the price. Also, other issues came up with the repair but instead of charging me for certain repairs, they decided to take care of the cost. When I finally received my vehicle back, there was some other issues that came up and when I called Logan, he was responsive and had the issues resolved at no charge to me. Overall, having my engine seize up and then my transmission being damaged was a very difficult experience and hearing bad news after bad news didn't help, however I trusted Logan and I trusted the previous reviews I read. Overall, this experience was very good and I would definitely recommend Christian Brothers for auto repairs.

Luckily I happened to find CLTMobile online! I actually invested in a mobile brake repair business about 3 years ago but have often thought how great a full service mobile mechanic would be! My wife needed that car for work within a few days and my time was limited during that time to get it somewhere to get fixed. I called CLTmobile and got an appt booked right away. Even though this was unrelated to the first repair, they covered the cost entirely. That kind of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction is almost impossible to find these days. Not only do they have some of the best prices in town, but the team genuinely cares about their customers. I was quoted 158 for this job the day prior over the phone and I confirmed at the start of the appointment if that would be the price. My brakes were in poor shape, missing a brake pad on one side and the mechanics spent an extra 15-20 mins working on my cylinder. At the end of the job, Chris informed me that they got air on the line and would have to bleed the brakes. (I've always had my brakes bled at the end of any brake job so this is standard for me to have done whenever I get my breaks done. They told me this would be an extra 120 dollars at the end of the job. My father is a mechanic and said that price was a little high just to bleed the brakes and was very familiar with the procedure. He told me "go call your dad and ask him to send you more money." When I asked if they could take 20 bucks off and knock the price down to 100 from 120 he asked me to tell him how old I was which I thought was rude and uncalled for. I told him I was 30 and he proceeded to say "wow you look 18" and said "one day you're going to have to learn that everything in life isn't free sweetheart." When I went to his office to pay he also said I'm going to have to buy him lunch because they spent extra time working on my car than they planned. Disgusting behavior. I would not recommend this shop to any woman (or really anyone) unless you want to be taken advantage of and upsold. They ended up bleeding one brake so my car would be somewhat drivable. My interior dashboard was also scratched up when I got my car back from them.
