if I could leave no stars I would! I am writing this review to express my deep disappointment and distress with the care I received from this doctor. Although this occurred 10 years ago, it is something I still think about to this day and regret not writing about or taking action on sooner. After being diagnosed with an ovarian cyst, I was very clear and specific about not wanting my ovary removed. This doctor was my second opinion, and he explicitly reassured me that my ovary would be preserved. Despite my clear wishes and his assurances, I later found out--after the surgery--that my ovary had been removed. What made this even more upsetting is that no one informed me at the time. I only learned about it during a follow-up phone call. During my postop follow up visit, the doctor was blunt and dismissive, stating that I could still have children with one ovary and ending the conversation by asking if I had "any more drilling questions." Given the seriousness and life-altering nature of what had occurred, this response felt incredibly insensitive and unprofessional. Going against a patient's clearly stated wishes and failing to communicate such a significant surgical outcome is unacceptable. This experience caused lasting emotional distress and permanently damaged my trust in this provider. Patients should never feel that they are just another procedure for you to profit from. read more

His compassion, his professionalism, and the calm reassurance he provided during such a critical time are things I still think about, even five months later. If I could give this place more stars I would. I first called to get a second opinion about fibroids. The girls did not make me wait and got me in within one week! The doctor was amazing and kind right away. He did his own ultrasound in his office at that first visit. He did not make me come back to schedule an ultrasound! He recommended least invasive procedure and explained all my options. Dr. A. Gave me such peace and comfort. I can't say enough good stuff about his girls in the office and Ari!!! Ari worked so hard to schedule my outpatient surgery and went above and beyond following up with me, the insurance, surgery center, and quest when my results were not ready. At my pre op the doctor and girls once again showed such kindness, did not rush me, and explained the process. Ari called me last night before surgery and assured me that everything was all set. An incredible OB/GYN and wonderful man! Love him and his staff. He delivered both of our babies (1998 and 2001) and even came rushing over right at 5:05pm to deliver our son when he could have just let the on-call doc do it. The LDR nurse said "oh he's gone for the day"; my heart sank thinking I would have a doctor that I didn't know. Two seconds later he breezes in and says "let's deliver a baby!" Forty minutes later he placed our son in my arms. 22 years later I am still a patient because I just love everything about the place. I don't see him much because I have no issues and the pregnant moms need him more but I am loyal and will be here until he retires (and maybe beyond!). read more

I have never been a patient of his at his office. This review is a year and a half after my experience. He was on call at St. Josephs Hospital when I gave birth after my original OB had went home. I got to the delivery room and he introduced himself and then left abruptly. An hour or so goes by and it's time for me to deliver my baby, the nurse calls the Dr and he asks her if I can wait to deliver my baby due to he was going to go do a c-section. The nurse tells him no the baby is crowning. He walks into the room and you can tell he was a bit annoyed. He gets ready and delivery was smooth...except my baby is not moving her left arm. Nurses perform regular tests and take my baby to get an x-ray thinking her collar bone was broken due to being pulled out, but it was intact. I ask them could it have been from me pushing, they say no it had to be from the Dr. Comes to find out a couple days later after seeing a couple specialist my baby has Erb's Palsy(Birth Injury) and her arm is paralyzed due to Dr pushing on her neck and pulling too hard when assisting her out. I would have sued for malpractice on a newborn if she would have needed surgery on the nerves but thankfully my baby recovered fully with the help of therapy and her determination to use her arm. I am just trying to make others aware of this doctor and his practice of rushing and causing injury to newborns. It was not only a traumatic experience for my child but her father and I. read more

This rating is not for the doctor but for the billing dept at this office. For my first baby, I came here for the 20 week scan as referred to by my OB. I paid the specialist copay per my insurance and a month later I was billed the same amount saying that I did not pay. I had a receipt to back it up. Fast forward to my second baby. I paid the specialist copay and again. A few months later, I received a bill saying I didn't pay. I once again called to have this resolved. And now here we are, a year later and I get a bill saying I only paid $10 and that I owe more money. What the heck is going on here?! read more

My first experience with Dr.A was 2018. My pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. I went in for a regular monthly check up and was told the fetus no longer had a heart beat. I decided to let the miscarriage happen naturally instead of having a D&C. The Dr seemed as if he was in a hurry and was out of the room before I could even wrap my head around what was going on. After going out to the waiting area and sitting there for about 10 minutes, one of the girls behind the desk asked if I needed help with anything and why I was still there. I was expecting to receive at least a pamphlet about what to expect but I received nothing. I had no idea what to expect. This was my first pregnancy/miscarriage. I had to let google do its thing. Second experience was my pregnancy in 2020. For 9 months of pregnancy I saw Dr. A all of 3 times. Every time he seemed in a rush. At my 20 week appointment, (the one where they're supposed to answer all your questions and do an in depth ultrasound with your SO) Dr. A was in the room for all of 7 minutes. Again, he was in a hurry. Didn't give me much information just said everything was fine. Only gave me 1 ultrasound picture. Wait time for this appointment was over an hour!! Fast forward to the last 2 weeks of my pregnancy, I was never checked for dilation. Even the PA that saw me at my 39 week appointment was surprised that I hadn't been checked. 39 week appointment Dr A didn't show up to my appointment. They told me he had "an emergency". Later that day, found out (on Instagram) that he didn't show up to my appointment because he had an office party for his birthday and that was the big emergency and the reason he did not show to my appointment. The following day I went into labor. When Dr. A was called he informed hospital staff that he would not be coming to deliver my baby. I would be delivering with the OB on staff that day. Overall not a good experience. Wish I had gone somewhere else. read more

I can give a review for my first experience here, and it was beyond what I had expected. Yes, we waited awhile, but that's ok. You wait at doctor's offices. This visit was sadly not a happy one. We confirmed that my pregnancy indeed ended in miscarriage. But Dr. Anzaldo handled this appointment in the most kind, gentle, and caring way possible. He talked with us and truly wanted to know our story and hear our hopes for a child. I've always wanted to be a mom, and sadly getting a later start than I desired, I got pregnant, which is amazing. But sadly, it didn't stick. I was referred to Dr. Anzaldo from a church friend who has known him for years and actually delivered his kids. Already very anxious from a long week of disappointing news, I literally broke down in the waiting room seeing the other very pregnant ladies. The office staff saw my tears and the pain I was feeling and had my husband and I wait in one of the exam rooms. I felt so bad, but the heartbreak was so fresh. It made me feel cared for as well that they did that for us. Overall, I look forward to being under Dr. Anzaldo's care when I do get pregnant again, as well as my primary OB. Facility is very clean, bright, and inviting. The staff is friendly and cordial; however, if you have an appointment, don't expect to be seen on time. We're still in the lobby and it's been over an hour since our original appointment time. I understand if we're seen 15-20 minutes past our appointment time - not over an hour and twenty minutes. Bring food and water for your Mrs... Update - Doctor was very rough while conducting the ultrasound. My wife was uncomfortable and complained to me afterwards. Dr. Anzaldo is a different type of doctor. He's the kind that actually cares about both you and baby. During my last pregnancy, I was dismissed for having morning sickness but in reality I was knocking at death's door. I met Dr. Anzaldo in the ER and he immediately gave me the proper care and treatment. I was given a PIC line with TPN for several months and he kept an eye on me and baby like a hawk. I attribute my healthy baby to him and his team. One pro (that can be a con for some people) is that he takes his time with his patients and doesn't rush you. Therefore, he can be known to run late to his appointments. But for me, who's experienced the complete other end of the spectrum, I'd much rather have someone who takes their time and is thorough, than someone who is timely and dismisses/gaslights me. Dr anzaldo is great and outstanding, the reasoning behind the low stars is his staff. I was hospitalized and unable to physically go into the office to ask about disability paperwork, so I thought I'd give them a call. 1 week of my husband and I leaving voicemails and nothing, no call back , nothing. At least call me back and guide me as to what I can do to get this process started. The worst thing is leaving someone in the dark. So, I finally went home and was able to go into the office for my paper work. This is already pushing two weeks. It has now been three days since I dropped it off and it has not been completed. Gee, maybe I should call? Well, that's not going to work. The disability person doesn't check her voicemails? Doesn't call back. So I plan to stop by again today and and stay until I get this done and completed. It's a whole mission and the office staff doesn't give a proper representation of the great dr he is. Also, the added unnecessary stress on new families is another component. What's a shame. read more

The most incompetent OB I have ever known. I tried pursuing a malpractice lawsuit but because the baby died in utero at six months (26w) there was no claim. He denied multiple times that the baby measuring three weeks behind at 20 weeks was a problem. No amniotic fluid mentioned in any report. No abnormalities noted. He is a disgrace to the medical world and should have his licensed revoked. I had to see an MFM from a different practice to get the multiple fatal abnormalities noticed. Even the other practice stated this was shocking nothing was picked up. If I could get him disbarred I would. read more

I won't go into details about my experience since it is very personal, tragic and devastating especially during Covid times when my husband wasn't allowed. But, Dr Anzaldo was very cold, insensitive, and right after my miscarriage he told me I could try adoption. Dr Anzaldo did my D&C and I will never forgot what a nightmare I was living in under his care. He walked in right before surgery and says to me: "Let's get this over with so you can move on" What??!! Here I am sobbing my eyes out, alone (husband wasn't allowed due to Covid) and Dr.A just tells me to "move on" and that my baby is in heaven. He's a Christian so he will remind you if it is or isn't "Gods will" for you to have a baby. I only went to him because I'm high risk. He gave me 0 advice or comfort after my D&C. I had an infection after my surgery and his office & him were IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of. I had to call the emergency OB line to get a hold of another St Joseph OB who wrote me a prescription. My insurance paid Dr. A Thousands of $$ for my surgery, and after my surgery no follow up of anything from the office. Next time I'm pregnant, I will drive 30-40 min south to another High Risk Dr. I will never recommend this Dr!! read more

I have had 3 pregnancies with Dr. Anzaldo, 2 of which were high risk pregnancies and I could not be more grateful that I had him as my OB. Not only he is the kindest doctor I have ever had (he never rushed my appointments and always made me feel like my feelings/concerns were valid), but he is the most knowledgeable. After my first high risk pregnancy, I knew getting pregnant again could have risks associated with it and so when I found out I was pregnant again, I immediately made an appt to see him. He monitored me faithfully throughout my pregnancy and made sure that my baby and I were safe the entire time. One thing I appreciated most was the continuity of care that I received. Instead of being part of a medical group where you see a different OBGYN each visit you have, Dr. Anzaldo is the sole doctor and is able to provide the most thorough care possible, as he is the one who takes care of you the entirety of your pregnancy. I firmly believe his attention to his patients is what saved me and my son and I will forever be grateful to him for having me come to the hospital to be monitored when he did. I have recommended him to so many family members and friends and I will continue to do so until he retires. If you are pregnant/trying to get pregnant, I could not recommend him more! Plus, almost every nurse who cared for me at the hospital following each of my births remarked how knowledgeable Dr. Anzaldo was and how they chose him to deliver their own babies as they have seen first hand how amazing he is at what he does :) Also, his office staff is AMAZING. I have had some very hard days in that office and they have treated me with the utmost kindness and love. This review is based solely on my experience with a detailed ultrasound I had with this doctor. I did not have any negative feelings toward the doctor. He performed the ultrasound thoroughly, and the verbal exchanges were professional, to the point, and overall pleasant. I thought he appeared to be a caring doctor and he asked me all relevant questions regarding my condition. About the staff, there is room for improvement. While waiting, I had the unwanted pleasure of listening to many random, irrelevant, chatterbox materials conversations between the office receptionist and several random visitors and callers. Their verbal exchanges composed of unnecessary flattery, redundant, excessive and unprofessional comments about anything under the sun.... While the receptionist was entertaining the random office visitors, she neglected and delayed in asking for my health insurance and ID information when I checked in. After she finished with her chattering needs, about an hour later after I checked in, she finally called my name and asked me to fill out forms for new patient. It took a total of two hours for my entire visit from start to finish, and the office did not have many patients that day, there were only three patients that checked in before me. read more

We all know going into labor is not something that can be scheduled to the minute or even hour. He was there for mine and I am sure had a lobby of patients waiting when he left to deliver my child.
