Was promised a "New Patient" package would be sent and to have it filled out completely and bring it with me. It never arrived. I had the common sense to show up 30 minutes early because of that. I was handed paper copies of forms (yes, from back in the stone age) and I got to work. It was largely written by lawyers. **KUDOS! ** I was taken on time for my appointment. ** Many of the forms requested the same information, I left it blank. When the Medical Assistance asked about it, I said they could take it from the other sheet. She understood. Spent a LONG time with the NP who took a very thorough medical history. I was very pleased. Eventually, Dr. Tran arrived...some reviewers on other sites slam this woman...I will not. She was very courteous and congenial, she answered all my questions very completely and showed plenty of care. She did say I did not need to go into much detail when answering because she read my paperwork so I could get straight to the point. She was VERY polite and professional, her tone was one of helpful, not "you are boring me" like some reviewers write. To prove her point, later in our interaction, she dropped a couple facts that were in my paperwork that I had not told her directly. This woman appears to be a great doctor, organized, friendly, smart. I'd trust her with my life at this point. Oh wait, that is kinda why were are here. To get five stars: Automate the intake process with a tablet or send me to a website before I come in. Although I was there a LONG time, the time was always productive, I was not sitting alone. So, this place is well run. They have a Dr there who I did not meet, but he has been there 50 years!!! No wonder they run smoothly, lots of wisdom floating in that Dr head

I am so grateful Dr. Otis accepted me as her patient. During my first appointment, which lasted an hour, I quickly understood why she is held in such esteem. Dr. Otis is brilliant. She is also kind, personable and empathetic. Conversing with her was so very comfortable. Her staff is remarkable. Dr. Otis has said it is her honor and privilege to care for her patients. I sincerely feel it is my honor and privilege to be one of Dr. Stavroula Otis' patients.

This caused me tremendous stress after recently receiving a diagnosis for breast cancer. On top of that the Dr. was dismissive with my concerns for side effects with my diabetes and refused to consider treatment to address those issues. Luckily my Primary transferred me to Dr. Otis. The staff immediately jumped on things and helped me get all paperwork and tests sorted. When I met Dr. Otis she was friendly, patient, answered all my questions, laughed with me and helped me feel like I had a trusted professional who was going to be pro-active and fight to get me the treatment I needed to survive Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC). She pushed to get answers and asked her staff to fit me in so I could get the chemo quickly since I had been put off so long by the other dr's office I transferred from. If you are in need of an oncologist I recommend Dr. Otis and her team. The office was clean, all the staff I met were friendly and upbeat and very willing to help out. I need to feel hope and have a strong person leading my cancer care team. I have that with Dr. Otis and her staff. And I can do my infusions here! And if you do need her services - I wish you much success with your treatment. Find your Peace and remain positive.

Since this was during the covid pandemic, I was allowed to go in only for the initial consultation and for her first infusion. They have a great covid protocol in place, so we never felt nervous about her visits. During the initial consult, Dr. Reese spent a long time with us, explaining in detail about the cancer and about what to expect during the treatments. He drew pictures and wrote key words on some sheets of paper we were able to take home and study. We felt he really cared about her outcome. They have a web portal for communication that allowed us to submit questions and usually had Dr. Reese or a staff member get back to us that same day. They were also great at working through insurance issues with us. We never felt overlooked or ignored, and my wife said all of the front office staff and nurses were kind and helpful. Unlike restaurant reviews where you end it by saying "I can't wait to come back!", well, I'll say we do feel comfortable continuing to see Dr. Reese for follow-ups, and should a similar need arise in the future, UCLA Health And Dr. Reese will likely be the first place we ask for!

I have been going to this facility for almost 10 years and they have never failed my expectations. Whenever the exam date comes up, they remind me through mail and email, which is very helpful. They also give you an option to upload the documents and pay the bill through online, which saves so much time at the facility. The front desk staff are kind and fast and the technicians are very thoughtful. They found something through the test and thankfully it was benign but they have been on top of it by making me come in every six months until they were confident that it is not going to cause any issue. However, every time I visit them, they mention about it and took an extra care while taking the X-ray, which gives me a relief that they are always aware of it and paying attention to it.

Dr West never told me I had options. I definitely would've gone underneath so here. I am eight years later with very deformed breasts. They've been revised multiple times but they keep sucking in from the surgery lines right in the middle. I also didn't care for the fact that I didn't have a choice in picking my plastic surgeon. I just went from Dr. West St straight to Dr. West Jr while I was under . I don't feel that was right, I should've been able to select my plastic surgeon not just sent to his son in the same long surgery. It sounded to me like he's keeping his son busy which is all good but not in Medicine.

I was so impressed by the professionalism, compassion, empathy, meticulous work ethic, and precision of every single nurse and physician that we came into contact with with today First, I would like to recognize Muriel Reyes, who was so sweet, compassionate, smart, and efficient. My mother, who is a first generation in Chinese, immigrant is normally very hard to make happy because she's just super smart and meticulous, when I came into the preop room, my mother was so happy, calm and ready to have her port put in because Muriel had so kindly put the heating blanket on her and got the IV in with no problems. Jennifer another nurse was so kind and ran and got us blankets for my mother's feet....she was a little cold. The surgeon who placed the port, Dr. Mao, was so efficient, brilliant, compassionate, and kind too. You can tell she's very, very bright eye bushytailed, and an excellent surgeon. The anesthesiologist, Dr. Cyrias (?spelling... my apologies for any typo )was very kind and efficient as well. The postop nurse, Janice, was super smart, kind, efficient and compassionate as well. She was feeding my mom graham crackers, and giving her juice when I walked in and she made sure my mother was able to get to the bathroom in a compassionate manner And she hailed down the Lyft driver who drove right past us and guided him to my mother I cannot express how lovely, brilliant, impressive, professional, and kind every single healthcare provider at the Chao family comprehensive cancer center were. This was a first class institution, and I feel very grateful that my mother lives here in Orange County and is receiving such stellar medical care. Thank you thank you to all of you at UC Irvine Choa family comprehensive medical center
