The only person in the universe who decides if customers end up over paying
Kim P.

I wrote this on my Nextdoor app this morning and it turned out to be the length of a novel so i fugured I wouldn't waste the effort, so I decided to copy & paste here for a larger audience. Rich at Eon Electric repeatedly puts integrity over money. It's just such a rare quality to find that I feel like he should be rewarded by getting more business. Read on and you will totally see why I say that. And now he is the only one I will use for my home and rental properties. After he installed 2 bidets, I venmoed him the amount of money he had quoted me the job would cost. You can probably guess how shocking it was when out of nowhere I saw that he had venmoed some of the money back. Turned out he sent me a refund I never asked for because he decided the job didnt take as long as he had expected when he quoted me. I figured this was most likely the first time the universe has seen this happen and I'd never witness such a miracle again. That was probably 5 years ago. However, earlier this week he did my electrical for a hot tub and unexpectedly refunded me again. This time it was because I had completely and totally forgotten I'd paid him a deposit toward the supplies. It reminded me he'd done that once before. He is affordable, dependable, honest, licensed and bonded, and very competent. He has done a few maintenance jobs for me and also has installed electric on the following projects: 2 bidets, 7 mini splits, 1 hot tub, 2 EV chargers. He is very chill and works really well with others (handymen, HVAC). For the hot tub, at the last minute my handyman decided he had to frame up a self leveling concrete pad (the electrical conduit was then buried in the concrete running under the tub) plus the delivery people rescheduled once just 1.5 hours prior to delivery (on a Saturday) and so Rich ended up coming a total of 3 times plus the time he came to evaluate what needed to be done to give a quote. He moved another job to be available when the tub's delivery got moved to another day so that it would be usable that same day. He joked about charging extra "for pain & suffering" but at the end he not only did not charge extra, but he sent back the entire deposit that I had completely forgotten I'd paid him... so he even had the money in hand to charge extra for the 2 extra trips & rescheduling but chose not to. Okay, and on top of that, he collects clothing to bring to an orphanage in TJ he does free eletrical for. No joke. Honestly, you just can't make this kind of stuff up. He's just a really genuine and truly good person. The world really needs more of that.

I highly recommend this guy, honest and on time. Very COVID compliant. He came and installed a time clock for outside lights and started saving money right away. Thanks E-On Electric

I got three bids from highly rated companies and Kensington electric was my clear choice based on their detailed inspection and thoughtful plan for the rewire. These older homes present challenges and mine was no different. When you start tracing back old wiring on a vintage house that has had multiple owners, you always run into complication from past remodels and work done by previous contractors. Joe and his guys worked through these issues, figured out solutions and options and completed the work with precision. They work hard and are always on time and professional. Joe has been in this business a long time and brings a level of wisdom to the game that will help you solve problems such as how best to future-proof your house, where to best set up security cameras and what color temperatures work best for specific lighting. He answers his phone when you call and is always attentive and focused on customer service. Kensington Electric checks every box. I'm so impressed!

He and his team cancelled/ no showed on my tenant more than 5 times and was super unresponsive when scheduling. My tenant had to live in a home with holes in the walls for almost a full month before it was finally repaired. The business operates very shadily. I have asked for a receipt for my payment numerous times, and he still has not provided one. I had to pay him in 3 separate transactions via zelle because his bank kept rejecting my payments. I'm not sure how this business has a 4.8 rating on Yelp, but will not be trusting those reviews from now on.

Service Pro ultimately got the job because the quote was fast, the price was competitive, and their professionalism stood out. Mike provided two detailed, itemized quotes--including specifics like wire gauge and breaker size--so I knew exactly what was included. Other quotes I received were far less transparent, which would have required a lot more back-and-forth. When we ran into equipment constraints related to my older electrical panel, Mike offered thoughtful options and worked within the panel's safety limits rather than immediately pushing an expensive upgrade. Nate, Jeffrey, and Brock completed the installation. They were fast, professional, and very clean in their work, neatly hiding the conduit and load-management equipment and making sure everything was working before they left. Highly recommend Service Pro.

Some finish work (paint, drywall) was left to me, which was expected and agreed-upon. No issues one month out. Would hire again without hesitation.
