Both floors of seating for the cafe were totally full (always a good sign), but we managed to find seats - don't be shy to ask to share tables! Despite the place being mad busy, the staff were still cheery and polite, and the service was fast.
My 'snack size' steak burger was tasty, although I expected a bit more for the price of £4. My wife's soup of the day (curried butternut squash) was very nice and filling, even the smaller serving. I'd recommend their hot punch.
The shop downstairs has a very wide range of foodstuffs, and the fresh produce looked very good.
