The only dish that I specifically remember our small group being lukewarm on was the octopus (was served chilled and was ok, but not amazing). After you eat (in the back), you can stop in the front of the store to buy more amazing meats, cheeses, olives, and wine to take with you! You may have a wait at times, as seating is fairly limited (we were there mid-afternoon on a Saturday in October, and had to wait only about 10 minutes to be seated). Also... It is a bit off the beaten track so we had never seen it before, but we were pleasantly surprised. The shop itself is tiny, but still seems to hold plenty of goodies. There is a freezer full of meat (including the best sausages we have ever tasted), a fridge packed with cheese, yoghurt, milk and more, another freezer with bread, icecream and frozen fruits, a fruit and vegetable section and then shelves full of everything you can think of. They even stock Ecover products so if you are looking to avoid the supermarket, this is the place to go. Their home-milled flour is well worth a try and makes delicious bread. The shop is also a cafe and is laid out with a few tables. If you are looking for something different, they sell Alpaca wool gloves and hats! The rest of the farm includes holiday cottages and animals to see as well as the flour mill. I am tempted to sign up for one of the bread making courses. It is in an idyllic spot too with gorgeous views and a posse of sheep to greet you as you make your way down the track!

The Rib of Beef was amazing and superb value for money. Since then we make an effort to drive from Cardiff to Builth Wells three or four times a year to stock up on the best meat, home made sausages, an array of pickles, jams, and accessories to accompany the meat. Home made pork pies for Christmas is a must!

The shop can get filled quickly and at times it is hard to move with trolleys everywhere. The staff are polite and helpful and there is a good sized carpark where you will find a burger bar.
