Came here a few times to complete an outdoor project since it was nearby. As other reviews have…read morementioned, expect a bit of a mark up here. Items are definitely pricier than what you'd get at a Home Depot or Lowe's, but that's to be expected at an independent shop like this one. Also, it's the Hamptons. I easily found most of what I needed just by looking around, but did need to ask the cashier where to find mulch, which was located outside and a bit away from the actual store, which is how I missed it. He offered to help me load the bags into my car, but I decided to get a workout in instead and to it myself (in retrospect, I wish I had taken him up on his offer - my body still hurts as I'm writing this review.) If you need something for your garden or home project in a pinch and you're in the area, you'll find it here, just keep in mind you may have to pay a little extra for the convenience.

I wanted to support my local business. As a long time East Quogue resident I have used Lopers…read morebefore. They gave me a price of 1900 dollars on a pressure washer. I found the same item..Honda 390 motor 4.2 gpm and 4400 psi at Home Depot and a couple other places. for about 1400 dollars. I decided to give Lopers a chance to make the sale. I went in to store and stood there for about 10 minutes while lady behind counter worked with customer. As they were wrapping things up, the phone rang and lady beind the counter took call and got invovled with phone client. I figured that was long enough to not even be acknowleded with a "I'll be with you in a minute..." or some other pleasantry. So now, I'm unloading my new pressure washer with an extra 500 dollars in my pocket.

Hi , so I have been shopping at True Value since 2020. I have spent thousands of dollars for…read moresupplies over the years. I never went anywhere else for my construction and irrigation parts. I bought screws and tools on a regular basis. I went to exchange an empty propane tank and they charged me $39 plus tax. I thought it was excessive. Today I went to True Value in Hampton Bays and they charged me $24 with tax!!! Amazing. So now I suspect everything that I have bought there has been top retail price. Maybe you need to shop around for better prices. Service is excellent but that is not the issue.

This hardware store has a unique way of making someone like me that isn't handy feel like an idiot…read morein the most mean way possible. Today I went to buy a screw armed with the diameter of the screw opening and I was told (meanly) by the woman who "helped" me that the width of the screw doesn't matter only the "thread". Once I settled on my screw nobody would help me identify the dimensions of the screw in case I wanted to buy a second one. My advise is to drive to riverhead to Home Depot.

No wonder he has so much surveillance cameras, there are probably a lot of people who would like to get him, and no one should blame them for doing so. I stopped in a few times before that, and his used tools are only a few dollars less than new items from any hardware store. He probably sells fixed up items from his son's garbage business. The owner is a liar, and if you go in, you will feel ripped off. This is probably a front for some illicit business, as he seems to have a large quantity of one specific item at a time. He keeps very irregular hours. If you don't want a fight, then don't go there.

If you have a shred of doubt look elsewhere for what you need with a better return policy, even if it costs more.
