Hello all, I was a customer at the time when Dmitry P.'s wife who is Indian, and her friend (who is also Indian) were served quickly at a time when the restaurant was very busy, complained that they were not served and then were shown that they only put their order in like 20 mins before (in a completely packed restaurant because it is really good). They then were extremely rude while the entire wait staff was very nice to them and tried to go out of their way to help them and then the two "customers" left without paying and then had the nerve to say it was racism when they were really bad people. Utter shame on them. I was served directly after with my mom and there was literally every race in that room and they decided to be rude to everyone and make it about race to hide their shitty behavior. Again, I had to write this as a customer seeing people treat others in a service industry in the worst possible way and think it is OK to write the slob that was written here. You won, you dined and dashed but then had to make it even more about you and say everyone was racist. Again great place and shame on Dmitry P and his wife's poor behavior. read more

Granted I grew up in japan and my standards for Japanese food are high, I've come to accept the lack of any excellent Japanese food in NH. Unfortunately this place falls short even amongst the subpar Japanese restaurants in the area. Service was slow, we waited twenty minutes before our drinks were served, appetizer takoyaki was undercooked in the center, bulgoki was too salty and too sweet with veggies and egg, a staple in any bulgoki, served at extra charge - rip off if you ask me, the prices are already $2-3 more compared to other restaurants in the area. The pad Thai my friend got had so much fish sauce in it, my friend swore it tasted like dog food. I tasted it too and spit it into my napkin. At least my dog ate it. I was expecting more from this place but can confidently say I won't be back. I thought I'd try sushi next time but the display of raw fish at the bar looked pale and thrown together in plastic containers. Totally unappetizing. read more

MY FAMILY AND I LOVE THIS PLACE! Dynamite is a family owned sushi bar that offers some of the best sushi I've ever had. Appetizers are always amazing as well (I recommend the crab rangoons). I don't see why people are complaining about the entrees not being up to their standards; it's called Dynamite SUSHI after all. The chicken udon is quite good as well. Tiny restaurant in a strip mall. I had low expectations but was pleasantly proved wrong. Appeared that most everyone was coming in for sushi which caused a huge backlog with sushi preparation. I ordered from the kitchen menu. I ordered the katsu bento box. Portion was perfect for lunch. The one waitress was very attentive even though she had many customers to attend to. read more

This place use to ROCK! You were greeted when you walked in. Felt warm and inviting.. we were not greeted, when we were finally sat.. no one came for drink orders .... waited for sometime before we finally left. When he left we were told a friendly good bye, thanks for coming! As if we are all Our new and where leaving. They were clearly not paying any attention to us. Service was a little slow for being the only two in the restaurant but everything was so delicious we didn't even care! Avocado eel, philly, California, and salmon skin rolls were so good and perfectly sized. The miso soup wasn't steaming hot like I usually have but hot enough. They are now under new management, so we wanted to give them a chance. BEYOND Disappointed they changed the food and not for the better. They kept most of the menu items but they must be using different recipes and/or ingredients. Also disappointed in the change to the maki combo choices, one of my favorites is no longer on the menu. The volcano roll which was my favorite, they use a different cheese that did not go well with the kimchi. I gave it a try but couldn't even finish the roll, My husband thought it was so gross he spit it out. The Bulgoki flavor was ok, but we believe that is what made my husband sick an hour later, because it's the only thing he ate that I didn't. The crab Rangoon, use to be the best around, but they were lacking something, maybe because they served a different sauce with them. The only reason I didn't give them one star is because the service was great, the waitress was very attentive. But unfortunately we go out to eat for good food, and I can always overlook bad service if the food is good. This food was not good it was mediocre at best and we will not go back. read more

It's amazing what a 60 min wait for food and a bitc$y waitress will do for your opinion of a place. I had previously given Dynamite Sushi 4 stars for their great spicy tuna salad. However after our last meal, I can say we will not be dining there again. The waitress could have apologized for the rediculos delay for our food, but instead gave us attitude. My wife and I visited this place last year. A colleague my mine who's wife is Japanese racommended this place. But for us, it's a disapoint meal. I ordered the Sashimi combo and my wife ordered the Sushi & Sashimi Combo. I'd say we didn't get what we paid for. The Sashimi are not even good slices of fish, it more like large fish cubs. I have to give this place 5 stars because I've been coming here since they opened and have never had a meal that was anything less than stellar....yes, I said stellar, or typed it. Anyway - amazing sushi! And if there's some kind of sushi you want that's not on the menu...tell them and they will figure out how to make it. HOT AND SOUR SOUP IS THE BEST IN NEW ENGLAND. After a period of partial closure and a focus on catering only, Dynamite is back. Don't let their somewhat minimalist website deter you --- the food is every bit as delicious, and the staff is extremely friendly. We had a hot and sour soup, a miso soup, edamame, chicken teriyaki with vegetables, and a maki platter. There is a slight difference in the menu: while the focus used to be on a Japanese/Korean fusion, it's now Japanese/Thai. The value remains extremely high, with very reasonable prices. I called Friday night at 9:20pm, just before leaving work. I was relieved that she happily took my sushi order. 13 minutes later, I was greeted warmly by the staff, in and out courteous service. The sushi was fresh, tasty and the perfect end to a long work week. Spicy tuna, unagi, spider roll, all great! Thanks for the low sodium soy sauce. The spring rolls were crunchilicious. We've been eating here for at least a decade, and this was our first time under new ownership. To be honest, if you closed your eyes you wouldn't notice much of a difference in the sushi, and that's high praise. Dynamite is a fixture in this neighborhood and it should remain that way, the new owners are giving it a good effort. We've been going there for years and have noticed a gradual decline. Tonight was our last visit. It took 25 min for them to take our order (even that was after we stopped a passing waiter to request that they do so), they dropped a tray of drinks on two people's coats, our dishes came out 20 minutes apart, and then after my main course, the salad came out 15 min later (I gave it to my friend, whose food still hadn't arrived). I didn't have to work at the clinics one morning, so I decided to come here for a lonely lunch for one. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with the traditional Japanese greeting I have missed hearing ever since I moved to NH. To my dismay, they sat me right in the middle of the restaurant. Awkward. But it was okay. The food more than made up for it. I kept hearing about their amazing hot and sour soup, so I just had to try it. It really was like no hot and sour soup I have ever tasted in my life. It had a lot of vegetables in it (it looked like the frozen vegetable cube type) and it was more hot than sour. It was good nonetheless, but I don't know if I'd categorize it as hot and sour soup. I order the bulgolgi and a maki roll. The bulgolgi lunch special was only $9 and the maki roll was about $6. The bulgolgi was tasty, and it came with the soup, salad, egg roll, and sweet potato fries-like things. It was all really good. The maki roll I ordered was the Boston roll. It had salmon, avocado, spicy mayo, and roe. You really can't go wrong with that. And to my surprise, the roll was HUGE. Like the size of my wrist. I did not expect that for a maki roll. All in all, if this place wasn't so far away, I'm sure I'd be here every day! read more

Overall fantastic! I often go to Dynamite for lunch. They have what they call "lunch boxes" which are a great deal! I prefer to get sushi, but by boyfriend often orders 'from the kitchen" and likes it as well. The lunch box comes with soup (the hot and sour is THE best I have ever had....simply amazing if you like spicy yet flavorful food), a small salad in your "box", some tempura vegtable (sounds gross but its amazing) edamame, and your sushi or kitchen meal. For lunch, the food is a great deal...around 9-11 dollars per box. Dinner however, is more expensive and you dont get all the "fixens" just the sushi on a plate or kitchen food on a plate. Stil good, just not as great of a value. The Sushi is nothing short of fantastic. this is the only place I have found that I will undoubtably eat raw from. It's been over 5 years since my last post... and I figured I would check-in again. I've been visting Dynamite for about 10 years... and for the past 6 years with a group of friends every year for my birthday in March. Although my wife and I don't get out to Dynamite as often as we would like... now, after eating at over 100 sushi restaurants across the US, Dynamite is still my favorite! Dynamite is the total package... great quality sushi, nice atmosphere, friendly/ attentive staff, and super gracious hosts. Ho and Mi know me by name (even though I only see them a few times a year at most) and always make me and my friends feel like we are family. I used to come here frequently with friends but stopped after a friend asked the sushi chef to customize a roll for her and he refused. I remember the place being packed and lines out the door. No, the service was never good, but the delicious sushi made up for it. I went last Saturday night at 6:00 PM and there were only two other tables with diners. My dining companion has an addiction to shumai and so we ordered some. They were crispy and delicious and served with tempura battered sweet potatoes. Yum. The mustard sauce they serve with them was amazing. I'd love to buy it by the bottle. We ordered a few types of rolls, including the crazy maki. Most were . . . ok. Not amazing as I remember. The crab salad maki tasted stale. The shrimp in the crazy maki was hard and tough like it has been cooked way ahead. The food quality has definitely suffered, but our waitress was very attentive and her service was very good. By the time we left the restaurant, we were the only table. The place was empty at prime time on a Saturday night. Such a shame. read more

It is in a strip mall and you will miss it if you blink, this is what makes it a great kept secret. Prices are good, food is WONDERFUL, and the atmosphere is great. The new owners Joe and Ally have done a wonderful job continuing to offer wonderful food and drinks, along with a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. They have fine tuned the menu with creative sushi specials that we always love to try! Don't be fooled by the location...this is a hidden gem and a place we love to always go. saw everyone raved about this place, went to try it.. i am very disappointed. I eat out all the time so i know my expectation for a four star restaurant. -thai iced tea taste...very extremely sweet. since when thai iced tea come with the option of cream or whip cream? and they give you those cheap ones. It's suppose to be milk, MILK! -hot&sour soup..taste okay..but i had was really only soup didn't really see anything else in the soup other than a few tofu and carrot. -all of our meals come with miso soup...soup was really good but there was no seaweed and tofu in it? I DIDN'T know that was how miso soup suppose to be. but all my other friends had it in their soup. -chicken teriyaki sauce taste like soy sauce, cornstarch and lots of sugar. hate it. -curry chicken taste weird, doesn't even taste like curry I believe the owners Korean..normally If korean people open up a restaurant with korean food..you except it to taste authentic, bibimbob(hot stone pot) was okay, not impressed. and the server forgot one of our order. We ordered some assorted sushi and one roll to start. The sushi tasted fresh and they don't skimp on the size of the cut. The salmon melted in your mouth. I may be biased, as I'm from Hudson, but this is the best Sushi place I have ever been to (& granted, I haven't been to Japan). Living 1,000+ miles away is hard, as I've yet to find anything in my new home that TRULY compares to how good this place is. My family, my husband, & I all love this place. Typically I'd go there for lunch, and get L9B (Veg Maki, Veg Dynamite Maki Box lunch) which also comes with your choice of soup (Miso or Hot & Sour, the Miso is veg, it's what I get, it's what I love). It also includes a salad, and typically a sample/side of something else... it's best when it's edamame. All of this is just $8.99 Also, the hot lemon-ginger tea is amazing. I've always had a pleasant experience at Dynamite. A few months ago my friend Melody M. & I talked so long over our meal & beyond that they were closing (they do between lunch and dinner), so we stepped out on the sidewalk. One of the women came out & told us we could stay inside and talk, as it was cooler, and she also gave us sushi pins. I've frequented Dynamite for both dinner and take-out for lunch. They offer a great menu with decent prices. Both the sushi and food from the kitchen is very good, I've never been disappointed. The hot and sour and miso soups are some of the best I've had. The sushi is usually fresh and flavorful although quality varies. The dinner entrees are always solid and offer a more authentic taste than the typical Asian restaurant where everything is deep fried. I highly recommend the stone bowl dishes, very unique, tasty, and good for you! The only truly terrible thing I've had is their Thai iced tea, which I normally love... but there's was just awful! Plus while on the subject of drinks, I don't like how they serve everything including soda in the retail container rather than using a glass. The only downside to eating in is that the restaurant itself is tiny, so space is at a premium and often times there are no tables available. The service leaves something to be desired as others have mentioned the staff consists of high school students who really don't try at all. In fact several of the sushi chefs seem to be of the same ilk, which is somewhat concerning. Overall, the food is normally very good so I give Dynamite four stars. It's definitely worth trying! read more
