Absolutely love this place! I've always had great customer service and thoroughly enjoy my…read moreexperience. I go at least once a month and if I had more time, I'd go more often. Great experience for the cost!

My 18-year-old daughter recently went here for her very first professional massage. While the…read moremassage initially seemed fine, several aspects of the experience were concerning. The service cost was $60. My daughter paid with a $100 bill. When the therapist returned her change and my daughter went to pick it up, the therapist placed her hand over the cash and said, "Tip." There was no signage or communication beforehand indicating tipping expectations. My daughter explained this was her first massage and that she wasn't aware. She then left a tip anyway, to which the therapist responded, "That's it?" This left my daughter embarrassed and uncomfortable. The following morning, my daughter asked me to check the back of her neck because it was sore. At that time, I noticed a visible bruise in that area. My daughter shared that the therapist never checked in regarding pressure during the massage. As a first-time client, she assumed the discomfort was normal and didn't realize she could or should speak up. A professional massage therapist should regularly check in with clients...especially first-timers...about comfort and pressure. Between the lack of communication during the massage and the unprofessional handling of tipping afterward, the experience fell short. I hope this feedback helps improve client care moving forward.

Very disappointing experience…read more I was really looking forward to this appointment, especially as a busy mom who does not get much time to carve out for myself, but unfortunately this was one of the worst massage experiences I have ever had. My massage therapist walked in through the front door five minutes after my appointment start time, already putting things off on the wrong foot. During the massage, she asked if I wanted more pressure and I said yes, but the massage remained extremely weak and half-hearted, often using only one hand. I began to suspect she was distracted or not fully present. Eventually, I could not ignore the feeling anymore. I told her I needed to use the restroom, got up, and when I checked, she was on her phone actively watching something and she tried hiding her phone under the sheet. At that point, I walked out without finishing the service. I was so uncomfortable and unhappy that I could not take another minute. While the front desk receptionist was kind, she was having an open conversation with another massage therapist, loudly discussing her neighbor and calling him a redneck, which felt highly unprofessional and inappropriate for a spa environment. To make matters worse, the bathroom felt neglected. The faucet handle did not work properly, and there was a half used open water bottle with no cap sitting on the shelf, which was unsettling and unsanitary. As I was leaving, she told me that management would call me to follow up, but I never received a call. Overall, the space did not feel relaxing, calming, or professional. I left feeling frustrated and upset that my time and money were wasted. It is incredibly disappointing when you finally make time for self care and are met with such poor service and lack of respect for the client experience. I truly hope management addresses these issues, because this was not acceptable.

I've never been one for massages. Usually, it's something I get guilted into while on…read morevacation--some overpriced, sterile "wellness" ritual peddled by hotel spas that care more about cucumber water and ambient flute music than actually fixing your back. You know the type: one-size-fits-all treatments with names like "Zen Renewal" or "Earth Embrace," run with the efficiency and warmth of a TSA checkpoint. But Massage Associates? Different story. No pretentious fountain gurgling in the lobby, no whispery receptionist pushing eucalyptus diffusers like they're selling snake oil. This place is raw, real, and refreshingly un-fancy. It's about the work--the grind, the muscle, the human connection. They ask questions, they listen, and they tailor the experience like they actually give a damn. Because they do. You're not just passing through. You're becoming part of something--a regular. And you're getting that at a price that doesn't make you hate yourself afterward. So if you're looking for the theatrical, the perfumed illusion of wellness... keep walking. But if you want the real deal--the kind of massage that works, not performs--then pull up a chair. Massage Associates gets it right.
