Kathleen is absolutely great. Since massage is NOT considered a essential service (shamefully) I was stranded with extreme lower back pain. I visited my chiropractor but I needed more. I couldn't sit down properly and I couldn't lie down either which obviously made it impossible to sleep. I could hardly bend and had minimal flexibility to perform stretches that I have been doing for 25 years! After 2-3 nights of not being able to sleep because I couldn't even lie down I got on Yelp looking for a renegade massage therapist who was still providing their services. Thank God I found Kathy who is not a renegade or a person doing anything unlawfully. However, she is a massage therapist who adjusted to the corona virus by teaching various physical therapy routines via one of those app's where we can see and talk to each other over the smart phone. I felt relief after the first session. Any improvement was good for me at this point because I was really suffering. Obviously, I did not expect one session to have me up and running perfectly again. I discussed my concerns with Kathy and she said she would call me in two day's. When she did follow up I felt one more session would be in order. So we agreed on an appointment time for the following day. At that time she showed me some new exercises to add on to the one's she had already taught me and by the next morning the pain was gone for good and my flexibility was back. It's been two weeks now and I do need to keep up with the exercises she gave me (only moderately) but I am GRATEFUL. Thank you, Kathy. Last thing I would like to mention is it would be hard to remember the details of all the exercises she gave me so guess what...yep, she emailed them to me. My PT suggested that I schedule massages every 2-4 weeks while I train for my first marathon, and I'm glad that I did. One week out from the Laguna Triathlon, I sprained my ankle a couple of days ago while running through branches on the street from all the recent rain and wind. I rested, iced, soaked in Epsom salts, and elevated. I decided that a therapeutic massage for my ankle might also help my recovery. I went in to see Kathy after seeing the reviews and reading the techniques they use according to their website. I chose the Active Release Technique. The reason why, is that I had a microdiscectomy 8 months ago and I'm still in pain and a weird thing is that my left leg can't turn side ways post surgery. Kathy listened to me and she knew the plan, she knew exactly what to work on. She first checked my mobility prior to the massage. It's like being in the physical therapy office but better! She worked on my muscles, and worked on my mobility. After the massage she checked my mobility again and my jaw dropped as I haven't been able to move like that in a very long time, I still need to go a few more times but the improvement after just 1 time, I'm just amazed! At the end Kathy also showed me exercises to do at home, and made me promise I'd do them once a day, and I am! I am scheduled to go again next week, and I can't wait! I will recommend Kathy and Dynamic Touch Therapy to anyone I know. If you had a surgery and need those muscles working again, please give them a call! I recently had a pre-natal massage with Kathy, she was amazing. I have been sleeping horribly for months due to nerve pain and cramping shooting down my right leg and also due to lower back pain that started when I was about 6 months along in my pregnancy (saw Kathy at the 7.5 month mark), I wish I would've known about Kathy and Dynamic massage sooner. I had been to a chiropractor who really didn't help, but the night I spent 60 minutes with Kathy I slept soundly and through the night for the first time in months. The massage was very light but incredibly efficient and helped tremendously. Kathy also showed me several stretches that would help with my specific pain, which I have been doing nightly, as well as a lower back type pressure that could be applied during contractions that would help me get through them with a bit less pain.
