I was told before surgery you didn't see ANY arthritis so surgery would be a good thing- After surgery on my second visit when I nearby jumped off the table from the pain of you moving my knee you replied well you had arthritis so that's probably from the pain. When i went to physical therapy after the physical therapist could not reach this Dr and messages left at front desk were not return. During my surgery you should have not done a thing if my knee was too complicated for you. I could have gone to someone with more knowledge on complex meniscus tears. Your first choice to have the surgery was Methodist (really) You have to see people as human beings - people in severe pain who reach out for help with solutions not to make things worse.

I left, disillusioned with little confidence that this was the place that could actually help. Ultimately, I found an AMAZING acupuncturist - Dr. Sharon Weng at The Oriental Art of Healing - Instant relief after just one session, 4 sessions later, no carpal tunnel -- At a fraction of the cost, with legit healing and positive results - I found a real healer - I will never go back to West Houston Orthopedic.

I'm 69 years old. For about six months I noticed that I was getting kind of wobbly and would fall…read moredown often. For example if I was in the shower and closed my eyes I would start leaning and unless I opened my eyes and grabbed onto something I would fall down. This got worse and worse. I sought help and was referred to Dr. Meyer. It turned out that I had a severe stenosis in my neck. Dr. Meyer performed an operation in which he came in through my throat and installed two clip-like spacers to separate two of the vertebra. He took some bone from my hip and grafted into the area of repair. He also came in through the back of my neck, from the scar it looks like he did most of the work from there. It's been over a year now and ever since the operation I no longer start leaning and falling. Aside from the normal post-operative recuperation I have had absolutely zero pain and have not taken one pain med. I have full range of motion with my neck. Sometimes when I tuck my chin down I can feel something inside but that's about the only thing I notice from the operation. Dr. Meyer has an excellent bedside manner. You can tell he enjoys his work in making people's lives better. The staff and nurses were great also. I never had any problems making follow-up appointments. Surgeons are like anyone else. There's good ones and then there are really good ones, and Dr. Meyer is really good at wat he does.

I couldn't stand up straight or walk more than 300' without extreme chronic pain. I had a very major surgery that was over two sessions and today I could not be happier with the results. This was my third spine surgery and I hope this will be my last. It's 5 months today since my surgery, it was a very painful experience but well worth it. I have my life back and that is priceless, I can stand up straight and walk normal for the first time in a long time. This guy is a top notch surgeon who is one of the best in his field. You can tell when a doctor cares and I believe that Dr. Meyer and his staff cared about me. I can also say it's all business with this guy and he has very good bedside manners. The hospital they recommend was also top-notch, very clean, very good nursing staff, very low infection rate and the food was really good. I did a lot of research on the the doctor, the procedure and the hospital before I went through with it. Again, I am very pleased with the outcome. So with all that being said, if you are looking for one of the BEST, it's Dr. B. Christoph Meyer and his staff.

Although the cortisone shot he gave me has me sore....its nothing like I felt walking in to see him if that paints a picture of how awful I felt! He gave me hope I will feel better in weeks and after being this way for months it's given me new light! truly felt like an instant patient of his and that he was very genuine with his approach. I believe that says a lot as I'm rarely a patient, but when I am...it is sure nice to feel like a person and not just a number! I'm not typically a person that leaves reviews either....thank you so much!

My experience with Dr. Anthony Gualtieri and INOV8 Orthopedics was very negative. Although the…read moredoctor is a kind person, the outcome of my hip replacement and the care I received at the clinic were extremely disappointing. During my hip replacement surgery with Dr. Gualtieri, my femur was fractured, the stem was placed over-rotated, and the femoral head was left loose. Because of the fracture, a cerclage was placed, which caused severe pain and had to be removed in a second surgery four months later. Even then, my pain never improved. At 9th months I was given a cortisone injection in the bursa, and he suggested injecting the psoas muscle as well. I insisted something more was wrong and requested a CT scan, which finally showed the over-rotated stem. I later sought a second opinion, and the new specialist had to remove the entire prosthesis and replace it. Now I am finally pain-free, my foot is straight, and I can walk normally. My experience at INOV8 Orthopedics during these surgeries was also deeply troubling. After my first surgery, the medications caused severe nausea, and while I was still under anesthesia--half asleep--they discharged me. They told my husband that if I didn't urinate, he should take me to an emergency room. They sent me home without properly checking my vital signs or considering my condition. It was an inhumane and undignified way to treat a patient. During my second surgery, even though they knew how badly I had reacted to their medications and anesthesia, they attempted to give me the same medications again. I had to refuse and go home to take the only medicine that didn't make me sick. Overall, the care I received felt lacking in compassion, attention, and basic respect for the patient's well-being. I am sharing my personal experience so that other patients can make informed decisions.
