I'm currently getting physical therapy for my sprained shoulder (untreated by me for about a year)…read moremy arm was restricted in its range of motion and lacked full strength so it was a lot to do in order to get back to my old level (I have to add that I have a physical disability where my left side is pretty limited and I do 85 % of everything with my right hand). After waiting for my shoulder to heal for so long, but didn't, so I broke down and went. My first visit went well. The doc listened to my story during the eval and when started therapy he kept me fully informed of everything that he was doing and why, The session went well. All I can say is that right after that first maybe 2nd session I was starting to use my arm again but with some strength and some range of motion better! And some pain reduction too!! I Kidd you not!! I couldn't believe it was finally doing better!! I keep going back for 3 sessions a week and im getting better each session the pain is still holding on a bit and I'm needing more strength and some more range but I couldn't be happier with the progress that I'm doing and have the doc for that. The doc does not push too hard and is always looking for my input to see where to go, so I'm very happy with that. I'll continue with my therapy visits for as long as it takes to get back to my old level and wouldn't consider going anywhere else!!

I had two total hip replacements. After going to a few of those Large PT establishments, standard…read moreprocedure was to escort you to a non-private table amongst maybe 10 other patients who were there at the same time. You were met with different therapists each time and most were PT students. I was given apparatus such as rubber bands and balls where i worked alone . Sometimes they failed to come back and i would wait. My first encounter with Dr Acosta's office was over the phone -where I was met by his very kind and attentive Office Manager. She made my appt and checked my insurance credentials , while making me feel welcome and cared for. The next day, she verified my coverages and it was apparent made me feel that compensation did not trump care. What can I sat about Dr Acosta, he is the first therapist i have met that engages in Hands On therapy, working my leg with his help. He moved my leg and showed me how to get the most out of every exercise. Dr Acosta managed to pinpoint exactly where the root of my pain was stemming . Throughout my routine , Dr Acosta remained on hand to watch and made sure my movements were done correctly. Dr Acosta completely loves his work and when you leave, you feel personally cared for. I will wish I had known him earlier when I had my first hip replacement. The office only holds 3 patients at a time, so it's never crowded but he is BOOKED SOLID. There is also free parking. I cannot recommend Dr Acosta more highly. if you are seeking genuine hands-on care, give his office a call.

After severely twisting my ankle a year ago, ruining the plans of running my very first marathon at…read morethe age of 30, I was prescribed to come here for treatment on the inflamed tendons in my foot. Judging from the volume of appointments they get I pretty much knew I was in the right place. All the therapists were extremely friendly and willing to service your ailments. They are knowledgeable and accommodating to your needs. Wayne is the owner and main physical therapist who everyone wants to see due to his experience. I was treated by Keith who is also excellent and can be a bit of a chatterbox but is extremely cool. Although small, there's machines for the common injuries (bike, treadmill, shoulder press, leg lift and rowing machine). There's also a series of lightweight dumbbells. For my condition I walked sideways and backwards on the treadmill. Then I had to perform a balancing act on a rubber air filled platform while Keith tosses the ball at me from different angles. I usually run 2+ miles on the treadmill as well. When I'm all hot, sweaty and stinky, Keith then has the privilege of stretching then massaging my moist tendons. He then either uses ultrasound or applies shock therapy for 15 minutes. God forbid anything happens but if it did, this is a good place to turn to. They also have a chiropractor upstairs.
