Everything leading up to our wedding was very easy and everyone was super helpful which made the…read morewedding planning process so much easier so for that I'm very thankful! However, our wedding day was disappointing. We pretty much had to do everything ourselves as far as decorating goes so it made the day quite stressful especially for my mom which makes me sad because I didn't get to enjoy any part of the getting ready process with her. We informed our coordinator that we had quite a bit of decorations and that we were worried about timing but we were assured that we would have a lot of help and would be able to knock it out quickly however that's not what happened. I was informed that for the majority of the morning our coordinator was on her laptop. She did help with the table centerpieces but not much more than that. If my mom didn't have my sister in law helping there's no way everything would've been set out in time being that we were still scrambling towards the very end and we worked extremely hard on the decorations for the wedding. We had also asked three separate times for the ceremony chairs to be wiped off because they were still wet and dirty from the day before and she assured my mom that they would be cleaned before the ceremony however we heard from several guests that they were still wet and that there were dirty wadded up tissues on some of the chairs. During the "rehearsal" people weren't told where to stand and during the ceremony our coordinator didn't even help with our flower girls or ring bearer so they had no idea what they were supposed to do. More importantly, our coordinator didn't even check to make sure the best man had the wedding rings. I double checked to make sure they were gone but they were still in the bag so they had to be rushed to the best man as they were already lined up. We had also specifically asked for no one to be allowed inside the reception hall before the wedding as we felt it took away from it but that didn't happen. My maid of honor went to talk to our coordinator about it but she didn't seem too concerned with it and still let people in. We had battery operated candles lining the aisle and we noticed last minute that they weren't on so my mom asked the coordinator if she could turn them all on (you just have to point the remote close to them). She did it but not without rolling her eyes. Following the second half of the day our new coordinator was MIA for most of the night, at least that's how it felt to us. We had no idea what was happening until our DJ was announcing it. Our photographer helped us do the cake cutting and when the reception was coming to an end, my father in law was asking us if he needed to pull our car around and when he was supposed to do it and we couldn't find the coordinator to even ask her so he left the reception to pull the truck around just in case which I'm glad he did because no one came to us to make sure it was there. I really don't want to come across as petty here and at the end of the day it's not what's important but we had been looking forward to our day for a long time and it felt hectic and stressful but it is what it is. I've never left a negative review before and I honestly wasn't going to but I emailed the owner of the venue after he reached out asking how they did telling him all this and more but I never heard back from him and it's been 3 months. The venue itself is beautiful but if you're looking for an easy, organized wedding day then I really wouldn't recommend it.

They have a gravel/grass parking lot with no lines so you just have to make up your spot. They have a cute barn reception area with huge windows. I did see someone fall walking in the grass. Like this lady ate it! They have cute swings to sit on and take awesome pictures on. The food was good. I am not sure it they make it there on site or it is catered. The dance floor isn't too big and not too small so it's a good size to make it look like people are always dancing. The restrooms are clean and they offer mints and tampons. Before the ceremony started, Michael addressed the crowd and told the guests to stand as the bride passed their row. While the intention was good, it caused some confusion among the guests and resulted in an inconsistent photo gallery (some guests were standing and some were not). It seemed like this wasn't communicated to the photographer ahead of time. While it came from a good place, better coordination would have made this moment smoother as we hoped for a more traditional bridal entrance where all guests stand as the bride enters.
