Honestly, it might depend on reception site and family/friends. My reception site didn't have a sound system and our families were small/enough friends coming from out of town that we felt it would be easier to have a professional emcee the reception. This wedding vendor was recommended to me by my reception site. I really trusted my reception site and working with Rock n Robin was super easy. For our first meeting, he met me in the Galleria area and answered all of my questions pretty honestly e.g. I asked him about back-up equipment and all sorts of things I was told to ask by my internet wedding planner. I hired him in July for my April wedding and we kept in touch via email after that, as in, I would email him and he would respond within 48 hours. He recently revamped his site and it includes an online "jukebox" in which you can create and save your playlist, note songs you do not want played, and mark songs for special moments e.g. introduction of the wedding part, cake-cutting, etc. My fiance and I had a lot of fun planning out these little details! To get Robin himself, it'll cost ya almost double one of his employees. Thus, we went with one of his employees. He gave us Bryan who was great. The week before the big day, my FMiL called all vendors and gave them the number of their contact info for that day. Friday before the wedding, Bryan called his contact - not the bride or groom! - to ask a few questions about our playlist, while complimenting our music tastes. During the actual event, he took charge of keeping us on schedule and introducing the wedding party and keeping guests dancing. He even through in some classic Viet tunes for my family that I didn't even request! And he respected our do-not-play list. Rock n Robin was awesome, professional, and reasonably-priced. They were low-key and great to work with - I highly recommend them!

My family and I were especially happy with the photographer and videographer. They really brought their enthusiasm and creativity during the shoots, so I was comfortable that they would do a great job in the end. They even made a special design for the photo booth print after giving them a digital copy of the invitation that really made the prints special and personalized. As for the music, I appreciated that they guided me through the songs I would need (entrance, exit, first dance, etc.) and provided suggestions when I wasn't sure. The owner arrived with his equipment not charged and ready, the light ring was not working as it was dead upon arrival . Dorsey left the event for 2 hours and came back 2 to set up. By the time the 360 was set up for my son's graduation party it was ending, we started packing up when it started working. None of the 40 plus videos had no music, we had the party on 5/10/25 and did not get the videos until 5/22. I had to add my own music to my videos as music was not included. I would not recommend booking him because the services started 2 hours later than scheduled , his equipment was not in working order nor was it charged and none of our videos had music not one. 360 Photo Booth videos should be 100% available during the party event we should not have paid $400 for a late service with no music. You did a pretty horrible job and we all were very disappointed. I pride myself on supporting black businesses and we did not appreciate your service.
