She's never difficult to see because she accepts walk-ins and any insurance, practically. Like others, I wish I had read the reviews first. I have medicaid and needed a filling urgently; it took a while to actually get the appointment scheduled, and when I finally got it done (TODAY), it fell out in less than 24 hours. Felt rushed, also noticed as others mentioned that she would take off gloves, leave them on the side, then blow into them to put them back on. Thank god they don't do root canals like I need on another tooth; I'll be calling THEM tomorrow to ask them to look at this botched filling. read more

This is the only dentist in the area that takes medicaid based dental insurance. She is always overbooked. She hops between patients and leaves her gloves on the stand and then blows into them to put back on. I had a severe allergic reaction to fillings and when I called the office to let them know she ask for my email to send me the detais of what was used in the fillings and told me to talk to my doctor To figure out what im allergic too and then I cld see her again. No offer to take the fillings out as she shld have removed them as soon as we realized I was having a reaction. Lucky me they fell out. She also charged me for a cleaning that did not happen. Dr porter and her staff are absolutely rude if you miss an appointment even with notice. She should have pulled a tooth of mine instead filled it and I have a severe infection she refuses to see me again. The ER had stated she knew she should have pulled this before filling it. Her staff Candice specifically was VERY rude and not caring about how the tooth can become so infected and make me septic and very ill and possible death. I explained what was going on. Asked to speak to the doctor and they refused to let me speak to the doctor and refused to even help me in anyway or see me again. My kids go here also but will not be again. I thought highly of doctor porter at one point. Now I am absolutely astonished at how I was treated due to a missed appointment that I tried to call for and they were closed the day before my appt I needed to cancel. read more

Most disgusting dentist office I've ever been to!!! Dirty, unprofessional, and liars. I had an appointment for cleaning since I just moved back to the area and had my last one a year ago. I waited over an hour, they took 18 x rays, no cleaning whatsoever, and when I asked for a copy of my x rays, the dentist said yes and to sign a release form, which she gave me to fill out and sign. I never received them and went to the office to try and get them a couple weeks later, the dentist wouldn't give them to me unless I paid her $25!! When I refused, and called her out on the sudden charge, she just walked away. I did not get my records, and am filing a complaint with my insurance company. Absolutely not!!!! I went there for a filling and then my teeth get over drilled( she said let her know if I feel it...i screamed because I felt it but that didn't matter she said she was almost done) and my fillings were bulky (my front one had a fingerprint through her gloves...then filling popped out 2 days later, when I went back I was told that now I'm in need of a root canal which wasn't mentioned effort my tooth got tampered with, was giving a bs temp filling that was also bulky. Even the assistant knows the bullshitery that this place is!!! Like why keep running a bad place like this if every client that's not there for an extraction says the same things! Reading the comments all I see is that it's not recommended but I have the benefit of the doubt and got fucked up! As soon as I walked in as a new patient, the front desk staff and dentist were having some kind of disagreement, voices were elevated, there was eye rolling and exasperated sighs and the atmosphere was tense. They even stepped outside presumably to settle their differences. What a poor and just odd impression this made to me as a brand new patient!! I really should have listened to my gut that something wasn't right and walked out. Instead I tried to just fill out my paperwork and overlook it. There was confusion all around as to who would take me and what was going on and where to go. The standard method of communicating between doctor and staff seems to be to just yell orders back and forth in the hall. I eventually got xrays and no one seemed interested in the ones I had already brought in from my previous dentist. No one asked me about my past dental history. I had to tell them I was pregnant even though I had just filled that out. No one asked. Good thing I spoke up. I had only come for a routine cleaning but somehow even that was botched. No dental hygenist cleaned me, no scraping and flossing, no bag of toothbrush and goodies at the end. Just the dentist rushing in and spreading what I presume was fluoride and saying I was all fine and needed no more cleaning. I really don't buy that. While I was lying in the chair the view I was greeted with was a huge tile missing from the ceiling showing the exposed pipes and wiring. The overhead lamp brought down for the "cleaning" was shattered and seemed dirty. Ick. The doctor seemed friendly but man this was run like it was a free clinic or place of last resort. Having insurance and having options, there's no way I would choose here. Wish I would have read the other review first. I will be in the market again for a new dentist. Been a patient here for about 2years now. I had gone in basically to have all my teeth removed for dentures. I was trying to just become more healthy and self confident.I was putting it off til my birthday. I'd admit,when I first walked in I felt like I was immediately in a low income office. But please don't let that turn you away,what they lack in space and asthetics they make up in charm. Muhammad is an angel he is so knowledgeable and kind and understanding, especially in situations where the doctor messed up and/didn't clarify what was needed and he did a process that wasn't needed. He will help you as much as possible without putting his job at risk of course. I don't recall the techs name but shes also very nice,quiet but she tries her best. There's only so many things she's allowed to do or say legally to patients but she works that x ray machine like a pro. If she doesn't get a clear enough photo that is perfect, she will make it happen. Doc herself handles Alot of stuff period. Divorce is never easy but she powers thru with her work. I believe during my extractions(all of them) I may have bit her a few times ,never once did she loose her cool or yell or even curse...she politely said "stop biting me" in a calm tone. Even when I didn't believe I'd be able to do it,she was real with me. She helped me get thru it by giving me time, Muhammad was very understanding. The receptionist is very warm and welcoming and I believe she may be training another person for her position so I hope she's not leaving... although I'd understand if you got a better offer. For finding a dentist that took my insurance (which being honest probably doesn't pay that well compared to others but hey it does what I need it to I can't complain ) and the close proximity to my home I like it. It's small, it isn't luxurious and they don't have a lab on the premise so I'd does take time there is quite a turn around for lab work but it depends on what you need done. I mean I walked in had x-rays,brought a referral and had a quick conversation with the dentist and the assistant and then next apt we are pulling so no complaints. Having teeth pulled especially ones with such long roots (ask them,they'd remember) I had to have so many steps for my dentures and adjustments from shrinking. I was their last appointment so I apologizd afterwards for being a pain of a patient but I don't regret it.i have seen so many old reviews on this site and I just wanted to give a positive experience since people are usually online complaining. If you have better insurance then you can afford more known dental offices or oral surgeons but for the ones like me on Delta Dental or medicaid, I think they do a damn good job with what they got. If you treat them like professionals which is what they are, then you will be taken good care of. Alittle kindness goes a long way so wishing well to everyone read more

TERRIBLE PLACE! I want to start off that my family has always had a bad experience with finding a trustworthy density. We recently transferred over to this dentist after a year or so because we thought she was good. BIG MISTAKE. Also, my family has 10 people in total so I believe she ripped my family off because she can get a lot of money from us by ruining are fine teeth so we can have a lot of appointments. She ruined my mom's perfectly fine teeth that she had for the last 42 years. After her appointment, my mom has been in pain ever since. I will go into great depth below. My first impression coming here(last year) was that it was a DENTISTRY in the middle of a housing center for old people. If that wasn't shady enough because a professional place a firm in it's own place. I had a tooth that hurt and it was minor before I went so I let the doctor know. The lady in charge of the X-Ray could not properly take my X-Rays. She wasn't evening wearing anything to protect herself from the radiation. She could not even get the X-Ray thing they used to put in ur teeth in. It's like a big block with plastic sheets that is changed every time a patient comes. I have never seen anything so unprofessional and annoying for a patient before. I forgot to mention my appointment lasted 3 hours with a 40 minute wait time and the doctor kept leaving to go to other patients. Next, she came in and cleaned my teeth and put an injection in my gums and filling my teeth. I tried asking her questions and she was unable to answer because she was in a rush to go to the other patients. This was last year but I do remember she just left to after she was done so I had no clue what I was going to do with the bib attached to me and whether or not I could leave. I went again. The nurses were unpleased with the patients and looked like they hated their jobs. My first impression I trusted her instead of my gut. Bad idea. Okay so this is from my experience from Feb. this year. I went in and waited for 1 hour and 30 minutes because they had an emergency patient or so they said. And I saw different people from last year meaning she keeps getting new workers to cause they are incompetent or she is adding newbies who have no clue what they are doing. Both are terrible. The environment was terrible too. I waited finally got called and the lady still didn't know how to properly get my X-Ray. I then went to another room and MIND I TELL YOU THE SPACE IS SO TINY LITERALLY MY BEDROOM IS BIGGER THAN THE WHOLE AREA WHERE SHE OPERATES. So I go in and the nurse cleans my teeth and SHE OMG I'M SOO MAD SHE LITERALLY RIPS MY TOOTH OUT WITH ER FLOSSING. SHE KEPT FLOSSING MY ONE TOOTH AND I KEPT TELLING HER IT HURT BUT SHE DIDN'T CARE AND KEPT GOING ON. I TOLD HER I HAD PAIN AND ASKED HER IF THE X-RAY COULD TELL HER ANYTHING. SHE SAID SHE CAN'T READ IF AT ALL EVEN IF SHE WANTED TO BECAUSE SHE CAN'T UNDERSTAND IT. By the time we are done she looks like the suction machine and talks to herself saying the suction thing wasn't replaced or was missing a cover SO MY TEETH WERE CLEANED WITH SOMEONE'S ELSE DAMN GERMS AND NOT EVEN REPLACED WITH A NEW ONE HOW UNSANITARY. I DIDN'T REALIZE IT AT THE MOMENT BUT NOW I DO. I ASKED THE DOCTOR MY TEETH STILL HURT FROM MY FIRST TIME AND SHE KEPT SAYING IT WAS MY WISDOM TOOTH BUT LIKE BRO IT'S BEEN A YEAR SO I KNEW SHE SCREWED MY TEETH ON PURPOSE SO I CAN COME BACK AND SHE CAN MAKE MONEY OFF ME. IT NEVER HURT BEFORE I GOT THE FILLING. ANYONE I WAS DONE BUT MY GRANDMA STILL HAD TO GO THAT DAY. NOW THIS IS IMPORTANT. MY MOM WENT AND THIS IS THE CLIMAX. My mom needed 1 filling, got 4, didn't tell her, now in pain. Screwed her teeth for life when they were fine. They made $ of my big family. SHE IS STILL IN PAIN GOING FROM ONE EMERGENCIES ROOM TO ANOTHER. I'M SOO MAD AT THE OPTIONS STUPID INSURANES GIVES US SO THAT FAKE DENSITY LIKE THIS RIP MY FAMILY AND OTHERS OFF. read more

I had to have some molars pulled and I was not totally numb and I told her. she felt one area which was numb but other areas were not even though she gave me several shots of novicaine it wasn't totally working. she started pulling my teeth while I was screaming. she insisted it was the movement of the teeth. I was only numb in certain areas but I could feel everything and she kept pulling my teeth anyway. obviously it was a very painful and horrible experience. when I needed fillings they were not done very well ( my new dentist had to redo some of them). when I went back because of a toothache, I was told I had more cavities which when she did an exam the previous visit this was never mentioned. another time I broke a tooth and she said I needed a route canal. when I went to a different dentist he fixed it without any problem. both dentists had taken x-rays. I don't get it. they also do not know Medicaid law. I was told I needed preapproval for a partial. I was waiting months and no one from the office called me. when I saw this new dentist he said since I never had any kind of dentures I didn't need preapproval. something is not right there. this dentist should not be practicing. read more

I'm shocked at the lack of basic professionalism in this office. My friend came here for a teeth cleaning and exam. During the past months, he developed some kind of issue on his teeth: they look worn and feel rough even though they looked fine just several months ago. The dentist said nothing about this. She simply said he should get one filling and have his wisdom teeth extracted. How did she not discuss this issue with him and try to figure out what's going on?! As a former dental assistant, I am shocked that she didn't address this issue. He first returned for the filling. A few days after it was done, the filling fell out. He followed the instructions he was given and did nothing out of the ordinary. The work done by this dentist was just horrible. They redid the filling. He was told they will remove all four wisdom teeth at once. He had concerns about this, telling them he planned to fly to CA just a couple days after the extractions, but was assured it wouldn't be a big deal. After speaking with me about this and learning that in fact flying after extractions can complicate recovery and that his time in CA would be much less enjoyable while recovering from potentially painful extractions that will limit what he can eat and do, he rescheduled his appointment for after his CA trip. What were these people thinking telling someone it'd be OK to get four wisdom teeth extracted mere days before a cross-country flight and 8-night vacation?! He went in for the extractions shortly after returning from the CA trip. After waiting a long while past his appointment time, he learned that they will only extract 3 teeth instead of the 4 planned because one tooth has not erupted. How did they not realize this before?... Anyway, they proceed to numb the area using no topical anesthetic and going straight for the needle, which he described as an extremely painful experience that caused him to become so shaky that they had to wait several minute for him to calm down before they could continue with the procedure. He described the procedure itself as extremely uncomfortable and scary. Extractions are in fact uncomfortable and scary, but his description of the experience was much worse than what is typical. This dentist and her staff simply have horrible people skills and very little if any consideration for the patients' comfort and safety. Now, several days after the surgery, I learn that they never explained his medication, telling him simply that they prescribed something, and only superficially reviewing home care instructions. My friend is not a medical professional. What's more, he has very little experience using medications, as he usually prefers more natural treatments. It is the dentist's (and her staff's) responsibility to make sure patients understand home care instructions. They cannot assume patients have knowledge about any of this. I learned today that my friend's mouth started to bleed again; he woke last night chocking from the blood coming from a dislodged clot (hopefully he doesn't get dry socket, though it isn't looking like it (knock on wood)). He followed all the instructions he was given, including no suction. The problem is that they didn't give him full instructions or make sure he understood everything. Also, they didn't prescribed an anti-inflammatory. How do you pull 3 wisdom teeth and not prescribe an anti-inflammatory?! I want to make clear that my friend is extremely intelligent. His lack of understanding and these problems are not due to an inability to comprehend, but to the dentist's and her staff's low-quality work and lack of explanation. After I spent a few minutes explaining basic home care instructions, reviewing and explaining medication, and answering a few questions, my friend now understands how to manage home care. He has also made an appointment with a different dentist to continue his care. I strongly recommend you go elsewhere for your dental care. The dentist in this office couldn't even do an examination correctly, or a filling correctly, or extractions correctly... I'm disgusted by this place. read more

I had a horrible experience in the short time i was there. I firmly do not recommend going to this dentist at all. I cannot stress this enough, beware if you enjoy your teeth. My first time there, they did not numb me enough enough and I was writhing in pain. I had to go back because my filling actually fell out within two weeks. This happened twice where they put in fillings and it fell out. The second time they charged me to put it back in. After they did some drilling, i went out to my car and looked at it and they still did not replace my filling. I have no clue what they were drilling in mouth. I went back the next day and they said it is there, it's just transparent. I had a deep hole in my tooth and they couldn't realize it. Eventually they agreed to touch it up. Again, i cannot stress this enough, if you enjoy good dental care, do not go to this place. read more

I went in for tooth ache and first person came in got room and me ready for dentist. A head cover was missing so after sitting there they put one on, dentist also yelled that wrong tools on table. But before dentist someone came in and said "is it okay if floss teeth ". I said no problem so after a very quick floss she went to polish teeth then dentist came in after had full X-ray done to see what problems were. Told her and she was short on answers and told me okay have some cavities see receptionist on way out and prescription would be called in for infection I had. So went to Pharmacy and nothing there at all. Called dentist next day and closed and left message in pain and no script at Pharmacy. So now another day went buy and script now there. So since was unhappy with office started to get pain again following month and called another dentist. Went to see him and now finding out previous dentist (Dynamic Dental) had done a full cleaning and billed and insurance paid for it. Was never told getting cleaning and this is worst cleaning that received there was no tools used to remove and tarter buildup, ever cleaning the hygienist would spend a lot of time picking plaque/tarter build up from teeth. Dynamic did nothing. Not even sure the person who flossed my teeth was a hygienist or not. So to me this is insurance fraud and I do not trust this dental office and I got ripped off and anyone that goes should see what is being billed. My recommendation do not get cleaning here because I have had cleanings for over 20 years and never had this cheap of a cleaning from any other dental office I had used. I don't think it should be billed and now stuck have to wait six months to get a real cleaning. read more

We had the most unprofessional and disturbing experience here. My son and I went to get our teeth cleaned. He is 6. The dental assistant went to take xrays and was very rough and forceful. He kept GAGGING because of how far back she was pushing them. Then she said "Don't be a baby". I was frustrated at this point as my son was clearly uncomfortable. She then put him in a room to have his teeth cleaned and the dentist literally brushed his teeth and it took 20 seconds. They went to clean mine and it was the most half @$$ed cleaning of my life. They were very rough with me too! I felt like I was being punished. Then, my son starts saying he doesn't feel well and he threw up on the floor...after he had his teeth cleaned. Why? Because of how rough they had been doing the xrays! They gagged him to the point of making him puke. My mind was blown. Do not go here. I also asked the dentist if I should be concerned that none of his teeth were loose and he hadn't lost any. She assured me he would loose them on his own and he was fine. I took him to another dentist last week to have a tooth pulled because in the two months since our visit, an adult tooth grew in behind a baby tooth that wasn't loose! What was the point of the xrays if they couldn't see that coming? When we went to the new dentist they pulled his records and said we were billed at Delta Dental for sealants that he definitely did not get. Nor was it ever asked for or discussed. I went to Dynamic Dental for a cleaning and to replace a filling that had split in half. The front desk staff and dental hygienists were friendly. However, the dentist was terrible!! She gave me the world's shortest and least comprehensive dental cleaning. She also replaced the broken filling, but she replaced it before removing the cavity that was starting underneath the broken filling. I now need a root canal because of her incompetence. I switched dentists due to the location of the old one, i thought i was making a good decision. NO! I do not recommend this office to anyone espicially if you have children. My 6 year old daughter was a little scared of getting novicaine for the first time for a filling, she squirmed a little and began to cry, instead of talking to her and showing her what was going to be done, Dr. Porter got angry. I began talking to my daughter and letting her know what was going to happen even though we had gone through it on the way there, The dentist then stands up and says "You will have to come back another time, maybe when she is able to stay still and stop wining!" THEN... she fixed a small cavity I had on the back side of my FRONT tooth. 4 times i had to go back and get it fixed, she was extremely rough when giving the shot of novicaine. it was extremely painful, i thought b/c of the spot where it was giving that it was normal. After visiting a new dentist and having him fix the front tooth correctly, I realized it had nothing to do with where the shot was given, she was just a very rough dentist with very little bedside manor! read more
