Michael Berner (Dynamic Back Neck and Body in Bellingham WA) is the best there is. In 30 years, due to searing TMJ pain, I have seen doctors, used numerous drugs, had massage therapy, acupuncture, exercise, biofeedback, extensive dental work including splints, cranial manipulation, and more. I was extremely hesitant to try yet another practitioner, but Berner came highly recommended from someone I trusted. It's fair to say I was so pessimistic, I was somewhat hostile at the first appointment. Astonishingly, Berner made a significant decrease in the pain the FIRST TIME I saw him. The pain continued to decrease over some weeks, and now it is at a very low level. He taught me what to do to help keep the pain at bay, and when I have trouble (rarely) I drive from Portland to Bellingham to see him. He is so worth it. No one like him anywhere. read more

Michael is absolutely amazing!!!!! I was having horrible neck pain over the last year, until the point where I had constant pain on one side and an aggressive migraine every day. I had been going to physical therapy for months, which was helping just a tiny bit. Right away, Michael helped me figure out the root of my neck problems--partially related to years of TMJ--and was very thorough and to-the-point in talking about what's been going on and listening to everything. Since the first day I saw him, I've been done with the migraines and intense pain. I felt a thousand times better in my neck and my jaw right away! He also gave me great suggestions of things to buy online to help me at home, as well. I've been seeing him once a week since, and couldn't be happier. read more

I meat Michael after I was rear ended by an eighteen wheeler on the freeway. I suffered a concussion and was in extreme pain. I have seen other massage therapists and was very concerned that a rough massage would make my pain increase. Michael was genteel and patient, he took the time to see that my needs where met checking in with me often. After just a couple of visits I felt a significant decrease in pain and was able to move more freely. Over the next few months I steadily improved and returned to my normal daily routines. This accident significantly effected my ability to live and enjoy life. But because of the care I received at dynamic back neck and body I am feeling good as new. read more

I've been seeing Michael Berner off and on now for over 10 yrs. I have chronic RA (which is a degenerative disease), as well as disc issues, several whip lashes injuries, 3 knee surgeries and TMJ. I don't know how I would survive without him. I have seen many massage therapists and chiropractors in the past, but since I experienced Michael's work, I was done with them all. I gave him the time that he asked that I commit to his treatments and I'm glad so I did. My pain was reduced by 90% after three treatments. Now I travel from Surrey BC Canada to Bellingham WA so I keep up with maintenance. I highly recommend Michael, your search is now over!!! (: read more

Michael is personable, professional, and really knows his stuff. He is very dedicated to fixing your body- making you feel great long past the actual massage. He gives great advice on steps to take in your daily life to make you healthier and pain free. I have chronic issues from multiple injuries and felt so much better after the first session that I knew I had found a great practitioner. After four sessions, I feel better than I have in a very long time. I've had a lot of nice relaxation spa massages in my lifetime but typically the effects wear off after a day or two. This is different. This is lasting change. I feel blessed to have found him. read more

Michael is extremely knowledgable, professional, and caring towards his patient's overall wellness. He takes a great deal of time to get to know each individual's needs while also sharing tips to ensure self-care in between visits. I have never had such a great experience and felt better during and after massage treatment. He goes above and beyond in his practice by even taking extra time to respond to muscles in need of extra attention. He is someone I will go back to again and again because he has helped me to be more in tune with my body's needs. I have been raving about Dynamic, Back, Neck and Body to friends ever since my first visit! read more

I had back surgery 3 yrs ago after years of pain and suffering. I still had pain and lingering effects from a pinched nerve. I met Michael at my place of work and through several conversations I learned that he did massage. So I gave him a try and ended up being a regular client. I saw Michael on average every week for over a year until he moved to the Bellingham area. By using the"machine" I could really feel my back getting stronger. He's awesome at what he does and I'd definitely recommend giving him a try if you suffer from chronic pain. read more

The Best massage therapist I have every had work on me. Michael took me from not being able to lift my hands above my shoulders to full flexibility in 4 very intense but incredibly productive sessions. "Dynamic" truly is the best word to describe the incredible massage and manipulations techniques preformed by Michael. I couldn't be happier with my results and wholeheartedly recommend Dynamic Back, Neck and Body to anybody looking for real "therapudic" massage for relief of pain and stiffness. read more

This massage therapist is professional and highly skilled. His techniques are phenomenal. I am a former licensed massage therapist and have recieved massage for years from various therapists. And I do not lightly recommend, however, Micheal has a gift to perceive and execute real relief and relaxation. I have not brought him an injury or tension that he couldn't relieve. I have even traveled 4hrs to receive his treatment. read more

My massage/bodywork was amazing. Michael is experienced and talented at assessing your needs and knowing what to do to start the healing process. Over 20 years ago I had a series of Soma body work and this massage was by far the best since then. Michael's skills and attention to detail provided a wonderful experience. Highly recommended and I go back next week! read more

After 20 years with a chronic injury, Michael is the only one who has been able to give me relief and allow me to sleep and function normally. I've seen many doctors, surgeons, physical therapists, massage therapists and none have come close to his practical experience. He is genuinely interested in making you better. read more

Michael is seriously amazing! I didn't realize how tight I was until he worked on me and I feel so much better now. He had tons of helpful tricks I could do at home to minimize my pain. He was very knowledgable and answered all of my questions and not pushy at all. If you're looking to feel better, look no further. read more

Michael excels at using multiple styles to attack a problem area. I've seen my fair share of masseuses and none match Michaels ability 2 quickly diagnose and apply appropriate technique. This means he won't be stumped. He is a good listener, friendly, and genuine. Highly recommend. read more
