The wait really depends on how many people are waiting in the lobby. Cool thing is their Tv shows a…read morepatient queue, so you can tell what time you arrived and shows public if your a walk-in or appointment. Because you'll get the look down by people who are waiting as well. Parking area is cramped due to medicentre next door as well. Staff is alright. Waiting room is quite open. People will always sit one chair space away from another depending how busy it is but that's normal since everyone has their own comfort zone. Booking appointments on phone or online is probably better, but if your lazy to do that just sit in the waiting room like the rest of us. Expect to wait 1-2hrs, again depends on the busy hour. Don't forget your health care card and requisition. And be sure to do the requirements of the requisition or you'll waste your time and need to restart a wait time.

Yes, I used to go to the closest lab to my doctor's office (anywhere in the Southside) but now I always go here. 2) The staff is personable and efficient. One of the biggest reasons why I go here is they never hurt me when poking me with a needle and never really look like they hate their job. This is important to me because I have a huge fear of needles and I'm always so scared and anxious getting my blood drawn, but they make me feel comfortable. The wait sometimes sucks, depending on what day and around what time of the day you come, even if you make an appointment. My last appointment was last Friday and I waited around 10-15mins over my appointed time. I didn't mind, the woman who was doing my work was pleasant. But just something to keep in mind.

I made an appointment and showed up 5 minutes before the alloted time on a Friday morning. It was standing room (many walk-ins) only, yet it seemed a smooth operation. I was in and out in just over a half hour. I went back the following day (Saturday) 15 minutes before closing time to turn in the FIT test vial, and to provide the requisition for a specialized Vitamin D test I had failed to notice (and bring in) the day before, so a second (different but also nice) nurse took my blood this time. Her technique was a bit different and the needle she used appeared thicker and longer than one used by nurse the day before. This time the waiting area was empty and I was out the door in less than 10 minutes.

The worker kept demanding an exact time and tried dumping me onto someone else when I kept telling her I don't know exactly the time. You need to retrain the staff to learn to count. If I say 9-midnight, how hard is it to look at the clock and count? If the test wants 8hr fast and I'm past that, then just mark down 8+. Never got any "care" since the worker couldn't and/or refused to do basic math. I know that math is hard in Alberta.

I was basically in and out in about 30 mins. I would however recommend making an appointment as the walk in wait time ranged from 20-40 minutes. The place was clean, my technician was very nice and she was also efficient. I hate blood tests and she did it all pretty quick. And bonus, I did it bruise, so she did a great job. My only complaint was how few appointments there were. At most locations it was at least a 2 week wait. I must have gotten an appointment that was cancelled as my appointment was only a week away.

He drove home to pick me up and when we arrived back at the site, they refused to let me go in with him, telling us a student would be in there instead. A) it's a patient's choice whether to have a student present B) you don't have the right to deny a patient of having a family member present, esp given what you were investigating!

I was really upset with this clinic. I was in with my wife for the first ultrasound of our first…read morechild and wasn't told I wouldn't be allowed in for the exam. Instead my wife was asked to come in and I was left in the waiting room for approx 20mins before asking the receptionists if I would be allowed in soon (I really wanted to be in there with my wife, its our first kid after all) they informed me there wasn't room in the exam room for me to be in there, which I didn't really understand but they said it was protocol. I have since heard from a friend who works at Medical Imaging Consultants who said they allow both parents in the room for the whole exam and there is no real reason for the husband to be barred from the room. Even if it is "protocol"it would be nice to be told before hand that I can't be in the room. Also had the person doing the ultrasound just tell us the sex of our child. Never asked my wife during her exam, nor clarified with me when I came in the room if we wanted to know the sex. Was really disappointed they were not more professional and aware of what the parents were expecting or were hoping from their ultrasound.
