My travel companion and I had dinner at Dylan's on a recent trip and loved it so much we returned the following evening! Dylan's is in a beautiful location directly on the water, and the atmosphere is elegant but relaxed. There's lots of inexpensive public parking at the nearby beach, so there's no need to worry about finding a place to park.
The first night, I ordered the crispy sea bass tacos, and the quality of the sea bass was sensational. The next night, I had the herb and parmesan crusted hake fillet, which if anything was even more delicious. The hake was possibly the best fish I've ever eaten, and the creamy mustard leeks were spectacular. After a lot of heavy pub food while traveling in Wales, the light and refined food at Dylan's was a welcome change. The only thing that I didn't like quite as much was the dessert: I ordered the cinnamon churros, and while they were by no means bad, they just didn't wow me the way the rest of the meal had.
Our servers both evening were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I also appreciated that Dylan's is open until 11:00 p.m., as many of the restaurants we ate at in Wales closed considerably earlier. If you're in Criccieth, I'd certainly recommend Dylan's! read more
