This is what i saw happen from the parking lot when I was going to bring my car in, I obviously couldn't, because of what happens next. The customer was trying to figure out some things wrong with his car. Asking sincere and reasonable questions. He was only chatting with the lead mechanic for a few minutes and then all of a sudden I heard the mechanic get really loud, swearing and telling the customer to **** off and say I'm not going to argue with you and he stormed off to the garage. Since the customer said he gave the mechanic the last of his money. The customer said he was just trying to get some ideas for how to fix the car(he later told me he paid them $1500 to get the car running and they never actually got it running and seemed like they were trying to blow him off at this point.) The customer suggested a fuel pump and a relay and the mechanic said if he installs it and it doesn't work it's just a waste of time. I was in the parking lot watching from my car. The customer followed the mechanic into the garage to apologize and say sorry for making you mad. The customer said, I wasn't trying to argue, but just have a civil conversation about what else I could do to the car to possibly get it running. The mechanic yelled at the customer telling him to get the **** out of his garage. I don't give a **** what's wrong with your car it's not my ******* problem you better get the **** out of my garage right now. The customer said wow... okay and left the garage. I saw him standing from the parking lot after this. I heard the customer try to communicate one last time from a professional manner, super calm, and patient. Saying there has to be something we can do, but this is when things got really nasty. The lead mechanic completely snapped 0-100 in less than 2 seconds and got in the customers face and started throwing punches at his own customer. I counted almost 10 punches. There were over 10 witnesses. The customer never fought back. He had his hands up trying to defend himself. As the lead mechanic of Muffler Man sat there reigning punches down on their customer. I was horrified. Kids were watching this. I was watching this. Other customers were watching this. It took his wife who works the office to get him to stop punching this man. When the cops got to the business the mechanic tried to say the customer pushed him and pulled a knife out, but never did I see such a thing. there are also cameras where the customer was brutally assaulted so that won't hold up. Imagine being the lead mechanic at a shop and not only absolutely beating the **** out of a kind and respectful customer but then lying to the police saying he pulled a knife. I was right there. He was getting his face punched in the entire time. I testified for the officers, but the video tapes will tell the truth that the mechanic beat up his customer, than called the cops and said the customer pulled a knife on him. If you have a family, kids, grandkids. Please keep them far away from this place. If you make him mad by asking the wrong question this too could be you. Thank goodness there's camera footage to show the true intentions of this deranged mechanic. I used to come here all the time. I was very supportive and gave them lots of business from myself and family, but after this I will never be back and my big family that goes here will never be back. I would not be surprised if the customer sues. I overheard his wife who works front desk and several employee, backup this mans lies. The customer never fought back. It shows you they are not only built on violence and anger but distrust and lies as well. I hope this helps some people.

He retired. I do most all of my own vehicle work, but on occasion I used to go to Real Pro Auto in Wyoming. I had my truck in there the last time I went to Real Pro Auto in Wyoming. Before my truck was off the lift I asked the mechanic and service manager if they could give me a price on the exhaust manifold getting replaced, and only the exhaust manifold, I could do all the other work myself. The service manager and the mechanic immediately told me they would have to replace my whole exhaust system, and it would probably be over $3,000. I knew better, and I knew they were just trying to up-sell me. I always laugh when any shop gives me a list of things that need repair, and I know 80%-90% of those things have just been done or are not bad enough for me to worry about yet. After they told me that they would need to replace the whole exhaust system, I asked them "Why would I need to have the other exhaust manifold replaced, it isn't leaking, and why would you have to replace the whole exhaust system and not just what I was asking you to do?" The both said that they would only replace the exhaust manifold if I agreed to replace every single exhaust piece. I know the talk from service managers, and mechanics, I grew up knowing many because of my father. They give the customer a big list on what needs to be done, or things they think up, even if they don't ask for it, then hope the customer is dumb on vehicle repairs and believes that everything needs to be done ASAP in their shop. I was so pissed they wouldn't budge at just fixing what I wanted fixed, and leaving the rest for me to fix. It wouldn't be a safety issue, it wasn't a request to get rid of the Catalytic Converters, (Which I know is illegal for them to do). I could buy OEM parts to replace my whole exhaust myself for under $675 if I wanted to. In there defense I know I would need to figure in the cost of the hours of the mechanic if I agreed to have them do it. But $2,325 of mechanic hours, and $675 or less for parts??????? I don't think so. I will just say this, I met the owner John many years ago, and he seemed like a nice guy. However, I truly think he hired the wrong people after Vince left. Maybe John gives the service managers a bonus if they bring in more money than his other locations, who knows, seems like it though. Maybe John should look at reviews before and after Vince left and compare them. I would bet he will see the reviews hit the floor after Vince left. After my last visit at Real Pro Auto in Wyoming I got an automated text by John on my other vehicle needing something in regards to work. How would he know? They seen the other vehicle 1.5 years before, and never after that. Then I got an automated text another month saying it was John, (I knew it was a automated text), and that one asked me why I haven't been there in a while. I almost replied, however I know he can't be at all three locations all the time and probably has no idea what goes on during most of the day in all locations, so I ignored that text instead of complaining. Now I am warning people, Real Pro Auto when it was smaller with one location was great, now they are bad in my opinion.

After three "expert" techs and 90 days I got back a car that wouldn't start, locked in gear so it couldn't be rolled around, dead battery and a front tire with a hole so big I can put my fist in it (see picture). WTH happened? They said they could never start it so apparently worked on it in the driveway but despite never getting the car running their "estimate/diagnosis" was it probably needs a transmission module but they didn't have the software to reset or determine if it was bad... THE CHARGES: $600+. I left a car that ran and got back a car that didn't plus had a tire which looked like it was shot with a cannon and a dead battery. I can't recommend them for ANY auto repairs on any thing. Disappointed and $600 poorer.
