This morning, I received a call from Kayla. "We are overdue to service your a/c unit. We are catching up due to the pandemic. We will have a tech in your area this afternoon. Would you like us to come by and service the unit and replace the filter today?" I agreed and the appointment was set. The tech, Doug, showed up. He did not have a mask, or gloves on. I asked, "Do you have a mask?" Without saying a word, he angrily threw the filter he was holding, on the ground, stormed off, slammed open my gate, and went to his van and got a mask. (I assume. I never saw it.) I excused him from my home without having the service done. During these uncertain, unprecedented times, one can not be too careful and, especially if a customer asks, there should be no qualms about respecting their wishes prior to entering the home. Last year my fiancé and I purchased our first home. Unfortunately our inspector didn't inform us that the A/C unit was hardly in any working condition. Great!!!! Customer Service, I work in a Assisted Living with fragile Elderly Residents. we had some issues with our heater so I called Dycus .... Although they were booked, they must have squeezed us in. they too were concerned about our residents. You really don't see customer service like this very much. They arrived after hours. Cannot say enough about how great Dycus heating and air conditioning is. My AC went out at 830pm in the middle of a heat spell. They were extremely busy and had no openings. The worst experience of my life! The Tech was so rude to me and extremely unprofessional, he made me cry multiple times. He showed up a hour and half earlier than his scheduled arrival time and gave me a 5 minute notice. The Tech pulled up smoking what it appeared to be a cannabis pen and was talking on the phone with someone else the whole time. He felt the need to repeatedly tell me he didn't have time for me and that he wasn't going to get home in time to see his kids. I would ask him questions and he was very vague with his answers. The issue was a motor needed to be replaced, it was shaking so bad one of the wires came undone. He just connected the wire and closed it up, didn't service it in anyway other than putting the wire back. Less than 2 hours after he left it went out, I called and told them the issue and they said they are booked up until next week. Fine, I get it it's a busy season but customer service should be your number one priority not getting over on helpless people. I ended up calling another company and they came out within 2 hours because they knew that it was a fire hazard to have electrical issues like that. They immediately found the issue and fixed within a hour. I feel like if he took the time the way he was supposed I wouldn't have had to pay two different companies for one job. This company treats their customers like a meat processing plant, they take what they want and disregard the rest. NEVER will I let this company near my house or anyone else's I know. I had the owner and president( Dave Dycus ) come out to my house , FREE OF CHARGE , and assess the integrity of my furnace , after being told by another firm that I needed to replace it. Not only did he tell me I did NOT need to replace it, he also set up an evaluation the next morning by PGE to ensure no noxious or toxic gases were leaking into the house from the furnace. Dycus installed my new HVAC unit a few years ago. The owner came to my home to look at my old unit and tell me our options. The install was quick and we have loved our system. The static air filter has also helped our families allergies a lot. When there was a problem with they system their tech was out there that same day, even though it was after hours right before a holiday weekend. Despite using them for new hardware and installation in the past. I recently had them out and was billed for the work. The diagnostic fee was reasonable, however the replacement part was billed with 800% markup. A simple 5 to 10 dollar capacitor was billed for 168 dollars. I called them and asked if they had made a mistake and they said that it cost 168. I would avoid Dycus at all costs. read more

Nothing but problems with two new air conditioning units purchased and installed by them in February 2015. Have had three call backs within the first year to fix problems that their installers created. They even tried to bill me for one of their visits. Their equipment is faulty and have had leaks in the cooper tubing within the first year of operation. Their explanation is that the copper tubing is thinner now because of energy efficient laws that California passed a few years ago. I have opened a case with Contractors License Board in Sacramento over this matter. They take your money and blame the laws for their faulty equipment which fails to perform. The owner promised if I removed this unfavorable Yelp review he would work with me to take care of his problem (which i did). That was 10 days ago. Nobody has bothered to contact me so the honest Yelp review is back for all to see. Try another company because their warranties are worthless. read more

this company isn't even worth one star. they came out to my home twice and were unable to repair my ac. the first time the system was completely blocked a small clog was removed, but the air flow was non existent, i called my landlord back to have them come back out and it took them 2 weeks and repeated rescheduling. had to go without a/c almost entirely since it wasn't worth turning it on in the 110 degree heat only to keep the house at 98, finally when they returned they did some work on the way the unit was attached to the house, and when they had me turn it on to be sure it was running there was still no air flow through most of my vents on only 1 vent functions at barley 1/4 what it did before it went out, i told them before they just took off with not so much as it should work better, yes they said should as in they knew it wouldn't, hey i can't feel anything coming out of this vent, still got the it will work better. well it did work mildly better since the first "repair" instead of it being unable to keep the house below 90 when it is 94 outside, it actually can keep the house at 87 on a 94 degree day. we aren't asking for our house to be a refrigerator but at least have the ability to not have a constant indoor temp of the mid to upper 80's. that and if the outside temp is below 84 the damn thing freezes up and needs to be shut off for at least three hours after only running for two. the worst part is my a/c unit is also my heating unit, so come winter my family including a new born will be freezing, since it may be unsafe to operate, since the heated air won't come out there is the chance it could be a fire hazard. these guys treated me like a dummy like i wasn't important neither the second two guys who came out, the first guy was fairly nice but left before being able to finish, so he left some of the way it was attached to the house open so he could make his next appointment, he said it would be working, but it didn't which is why they had to come out a second time and to finish what he didn't, did not listen neither did the woman on the phone when i tried to tell them hey there is no air coming out of the vents insisted that the problem was the way it was attached to house , which was not eh case because it worked wonderfully before it went out (blow you skirt up great) to now nothing is coming out and none of the vents could even move a tissue if one were so inclined to put on over a vent. they only want you money and will not do anything in the ways of actually repairing your ac/heating unit. they will nothing and take your money. find someone else, your local homeless man with a will work for food sign is a safer bet than these guys. they won't listen to what he problem is, they will ignore you, act like you don't know anything, will lie and say the unit is supposed to work like that even when it when you know what it is supposed to work like and you tell them. rush and leave your home like they are escaping. they do not care about the customer, they would rather not have to deal with the customer. read more
