I was quoted $750 to paint two bedrooms and a laundry room and was told it would be a one day job. I fed them breakfast and lunch. They stayed at my house for 22 hours and didn't finish. At 6 a.m. the next morning I was told they could not leave because they had NO money. All three rooms are unfinished. One is mostly done but has some paint gaps and a lot of detail work left to do. The other two still have the tape on them, one needs a ceiling painted. I had asked for an ombre paint effect in my daughters room and the result was nothing close to ombre. They got paint on my carpet, on my laundry room flooring, on light switches, ON MY WASHING MACHINE and all over the trim in each room. Because I felt sorry that they couldn't leave because they had no money, I paid them $500 ($300 in cash and $200 on Zelle) and asked that they be back at 8 today and I'd pay the rest when they finished. They agreed. Yesterday I sent them a message asking them to bring something to remove paint from the trim and floors; no response. At 8:15 I asked if they were coming, no response. I messaged the owner; no response.
