Doctor Chen and her staff is very friendly and nice. They would explain any questions regarding patient's condition, treatments, ways to improve one's oral health, and any concerns. Most important of all, Doctor Chen is very gentle during a procedure, while the explanation/heads up before hand really helps to put one's mind at ease. Personally, I even fell asleep during one of the visit. Overall, definitely a total different experience for a dental office visit, and highly recommended.

But a recent broken tooth forced me to find some help. Starting right from my initial call to set up an appointment, the staff have been wonderful and caring. I explained my fears and was assured that Dr. E would do everything in her power to make sure I stayed comfortable throughout. My cleaning and initial exam was thorough, gentle, and hardly scary at all! At no point did I feel that my anxiety was disregarded or that I was somehow a bad person for not having been to the dentist in years. I felt that Dr. Etemadi wanted to partner with me to not only address my teeth, but to help me manage my dental fears as well. Yesterday, I spent most of the morning in "the chair" having some major work done (crown, fillings, etc). This was done under conscious sedation. All I can say is WOW! I have some flashes of memory of the day, but for the most part, all I remember is being calm and comfortable. I came home (with a driver) and slept for most of the afternoon. But Dr. E called yesterday evening just to check up on me. I've never had a dentist call after an appointment! Dr. Etemadi and her entire staff ROCK! Am I still phobic about dentists? Duh! Some things won't change in one appointment. But knowing that I can get through major work with Dr. E, her staff, and some good drugs means that I'll be back to finish the rest of the work I need to have done. After evaluation for root canal to see if tooth could be saved, Dr Tyler clearly explained my options. She cleared out the roots and got rid of the infection - sadly my tooth had too many cracks, so will need an extraction - but that's my fault. Highly recommend Dr Cynthia Tyler in Duvall. Also, the quality of work is poor, a root canal done by Dr. Lingham in 2009 had immediate problems which required the attention of an oral surgeon, followed by a complete re-do of that tooth in 2011.
