Really nice supermarket. Excellent meat choices, clean store and friendly staff. Plenty of room to park.

I stay away from buying meat here because of the poor quality. Their ground beef often looks great through the plastic wrap on the packaging but when you get it home and open it, you'll often find that they put a very small layer of fresh meat over some brown, older meat. Extremely deceptive and if i can't trust them with something as simple as getting fresh meat, how can I trust them with anything else. Only reason for two stars instead of one is their beer selection and their price compared to the take out at the local bars. You're better off at Weis in Hamlin or Shoprite in Daleville. read more

Nice small sized grocery store. Excellent meats. Yes items may be a little high but we are near a vacation destination. Staff has been nice too! read more

Kind of Overpriced....but they know you have no nearby choices, hence no competition. WARNING: you know that scene in the old Western films where a person enters a Saloon and the piano player stops playing and everyone freezes...yeah that. That's what every single White person does in this place...the only thing missing were antlers on everyone's heads and they'd make perfect Deer in Headlights. Get a grip people , its a big world filled with many different colors and languages...most which actually outnumber you on earth. Relax, people just want to shop. Breathe, breathe, thats it..... read more

I LOVE Dutch's Market. They order a wide variety of foods and produce, and are responsive to local needs and requests. They carry organic, and quite a few specialty items. The staff are wonderful... friendly and helpful. AND they deliver for a very reasonable price. I am beyond grateful for them in our small community. We are lucky to have them here! read more

Only in an emergency...everyone has a chip on their shoulder, very pricey, they gear their prices towards 'lake people'. I have been here 14 years and it never gets better, now they sell gas and of course it is the highest in the area along with the gas station down 507 which they match to the penny. Decent deli though you have to deal with the 'staff' read more

We found this wonderful market by chance and couldn't be happier. The customer service of the staff is phenomenal, especially the deli and meat department. We've missed the country feel of our previous Lancaster County markets and are thrilled to have found this gem of a market. We'll be traveling back soon!! read more

Find everything we were missing for camping including fresh herbs. Nice friendly little store!

I have gone here for years. Always loved the deli . We go for the ethanol free fuel. And I like to support the local businesses over corporate. But today after I waited where it says order your fresh sandwiches here for 10 minutes and no one came over. So then I moved 10 ft over and waited to be waited on where you order your lunch meat. Ordered my lunch meat and when she asked if I needed anything else she said you have to order over there again 10 ft away where I originally waited. No problem until another employee named Diane said (and I say said loosely) I CAN'T TAKE AY MORE ORDERS I HAVE TOO MANY!!! I am a local business owner and if one of my employees 1. spoke to a customer like that I would have been totally embarrassed. 2. We never turn away business or raise your voice in frustration to a customer. I understand you are very busy. But maybe something like we are backed up it will be at least 15 minutes??? Would have been nice. In addition there was no one else there in line. So assuming these ere called in orders. I don't really know. You always take care of your customer physically there in front of you. I then proceeded to the register to pay for my groceries. Asked the girl at the register if I might speak to a manager. She very politely got Ryan. I explained what happen. He did not respond verbally at all. Ok but in addition he just went back to where he was standing and looked blankly in another direction. I am writing this in hopes that whomever is in charge there, sees this. I just want them to know what is happening and make them aware of this. Again from one business owner to another. If my employees have done something offensive to my clientele., I cannot correct it if no one tells me. read more

The soups are ok, pasta e fagiole is good but chicken noodle is a tad salty for my taste. There are occasionally good meat sales and most of the staff is friendly, but I'm local. Overpriced ($15 for a small bunch of carnations? Really?!) and if you're not careful it's easy to grab something that's expired or, once in a while, downright spoiled (I've gotten moldy cheese more than once). The owner is a grump, but he's not around much. Just go when there's a sale and keep an eye on sell-by dates and you should be fine. Fantastic beer and wine cooler selection, especially for the area. read more

Dutch's Market - Awesome. - Grocery Near Me - Greentown, Pennsylvania

Great prices and service, especially with the savings card, you will save money on gas Exxon station. Meats have always been fresh, very good seafood fresh. Customer service has always been very helpful, Deli cuts and sandwiches very good read more

Super high prices. Make sure to get a savings card. Watch expirations dates. Produce didn't seem particularly fresh although keep an eye out for locally grown produce. We got the locally grown corn for a reasonable price and it was awesome . Shop the sales everything else is overpriced read more

Store is very well stocked and the food looks great, especially rhe delic meats and salads. Prices are pretty high and if you don't have a discount card you will pay more. The cashiers had a really hard time handling a free coupon for up to 5.99 value off on a 6.99 item. A cashier named Rosemarie took $1.00 off instead of $5.99. When I went back to discuss this, she had a very poor attitude. The gal at the customer service counter fixed it promptly. read more

Employees did not assist me for the first 5 minutes when I asked for their help and just ignored me until I had to go to another front end manager, needed to recurve money from Western Union at 8:40 (20 mins before closing time) did not receive help because the front end manager "had to do too many things to do" and that "Western unions company closes at that time" when she wasn't doing anything and assisted somebody else, i got dirty looks from all the other workers as well, I've been told by many people that they are racist and that it's hard to get assistance if your race isn't white, I'm Hispanic so maybe that's the reason that I didn't get assistance, and I've heard they had "join the kkk ad on the shopping carts", might have to go to weis since they have better employees and are more welcoming, felt uncomfortable in the presence of Dutchs. read more

The place was well stocked with unique deli items. The staff was scarse bit were friendly enough to help us out. Most items we found expensive than other stores in Philadelphia. Local items like eggs and milk were cheap though. read more

Shop elsewhere if you can. Service and price here sucks unless you've lived here your entire life. Minimal organic and gluten free selections and idiotic clerks who have no clue as to why you would want anything in those categories. read more

Horrible experience! Prices are high and the items are not stocked accurately so the items I bought rang up different than the sign indicated. The cashier was extremely rude when I wanted to return the items that rang up inaccurately. It was a worse experience than I have had at The larger Walmarts and other supermarkets. I will return to shopping at Aldis and Weiss. read more

Totally dissatisfied with Dutches food market. I read the reviews on Facebook, Yelp, and Yellow Pages, and it's is 100% true, you have to watch out for expired food and rotten meat that they try to pass off to the consumers. I'm a local myself and have notified customer service when a product is expired and/or rancid only to return and see the very same product still on the Shelf. Additionally, although they have some very nice, helpful employees that take pride in their work , a majority including some of the higher-ups are discourteous, but none quite so a one of the males at the customer service counter who is utterly belligerent and nasty, and will continue to wait on his co-workers and other customers whom he is friendly with while you stand at the other cashier waiting to be waited on. If I could get away with giving 0 Stars I would, but Yelp makes you give at least one. read more

I feel really bad for this one guy. I see him everywhere I turn in Wallenpaupack. He works both here and at a restaurant not too far down the road. Sometimes I swear he's in two places at once. Really sad to see a kid working so much. Lately I've even seen him at the local physical therapy clinic. Relax man. He is surprisingly always pleasant. read more

Just moved here 3 months ago and it is the only place close by, so the convenience is great. Stuffed mushrooms are delicious, the steaks I bought were tough and had a lot of gristle but other meats were good. However the Deli personnel are to be avoided at all cost. Finding 3 containers of what appeared to be a cheese dip or spread of some sort unlabeled and unpriced, I brought them to the deli counter thinking I was doing a good thing bringing this to their attention. I put them on the counter and a middle-aged dark haired woman yelled at me "DON'T PUT THOSE THERE! I explained that they were not marked and she again verbally accosted me "MA'AM ARE YOU BUYING ALL OF THOSE" I said I didn't know what was in them so why would I? I proceeded to replace them where they came from and finished my shopping but before I left I went back to check if someone had come to label them and they had not(1/2 hr or so later). I hope they rot in the case. Tried to do a good thing and I was yelled at for it. I will not purchase any Deli items in the future that require any interaction with staff especially the Dragon Lady. read more

I wish that it were possible to give less than one star but I will have to settle for one. This is a market and they have food there. That is the nicest thing I can say. I recognize that this is a stressful time for people working in supermarkets. Nonetheless, it is the obligation of the employees in the store to facilitate safe shopping for the customer. In addition, It is the obligation of management to ensure that the employees are acting in a safe manner. To be clear, I am talking about the danger of COVID-19 and the responsibility of all citizens to help eradicate this virus by practicing social distancing and wearing masks. As I walked in the store I observed employees on break sitting together at a picnic table without masks. There are employees failing to wear their masks at all and others wearing them improperly. I definitely felt like I was an unsafe situation and I got out of the store as quickly as possible. I tried to call the store when I got home to let them know what I have seen and the recorded message told me that the store does not accept calls from unlisted numbers. I tried using my cell phone and was told that the number was no longer in service. There is no email address on the website to allow for contact or feedback. I will not be returning. read more

Charley n I recently moved from Houston, TX, back to the Beautiful Pocono Mountains & here in "The Escape" in Greentown. We were BEAT from unpacking n quite hungry! I hadn't seen/read any reviews about Dutch's prior to shopping. I really don't understand the reviews?! The prices & selections are good & fair! We purchased items from just about every department & have been happy with them! Also, a lady working in the deli gave us some ideas on what to buy in the store made department for some "easy" dinners...which we thought were good!! My thoughts are to join the Gold Club & take advantage of the sales. We've been doing pretty well with it, too! The staff is both friendly & helpful! Keep up the Good Work! read more

Odd place. Occasional bargains, otherwise prices way higher than other local stores. Some staff super nice, some downright awful as in outright aggressively rude. Probably better off in Hamlin, a few miles away at Weis, where the prices are more reasonable or better still 15 minutes on in Scranton where there are a full range of decent grocery choices at far better prices and higher quality. read more

Tends to be overpriced since it is one of the only grocery stores in the area. I've found moldy food on the shelf on two separate occasions and expired food several more times, so choose carefully. Soups and sandwiches to go are a mixed bag; the pasta e fagioli is very good, but the chicken noodle soup is way too salty and overwhelmed with celery as filler. Also, spelling errors abound on the labels and signs, which is always good for a laugh. Most of the employees are really nice, but beware the deli counter - I've gone up and been the only person at the counter and STILL had to wait over 2 minutes for someone to help me, even with 4 employees back there who saw me and looked away (I guess hoping someone else would take care of me). OK beer prices, impressive selection for a grocery store. All-in-all not one of my favorite places since the food is crazy priced and it's not always good (or even safe to eat), but it's ok in a pinch. UPDATE : Came here the other day to grab a Country Crock mac and cheese side dish, and out of habit I checked the expiration date - it had expired the week prior! I dug all the way to the back to find a fresh one, but they were ALL EXPIRED. The very last one in the back, which should be the freshest, had actually expired JUNE 24TH. When I took it off the shelf it was EARLY SEPTEMBER. Beware!!! read more

I am not sure why there are 4 reviews on this site saying how awful this store seems to be. I live not far and go there all the time and have never had a problem that was not solved. I did once get meat that didn't seem right, they exchanged it without any issues. I find the produce to be good and every chuck roast that I have purchased there for my stews are great!. They have 2 meat sales a year and have never been disappointed. To the gentleman that said you got sick on the sausage...maybe you didn't cook it long enough. The prices for some items are more expensive then the bigger chain stores but that is to be expected...that happens in every small store in the country...get a grip.... guess I am NOT a fan of "bashing" any business on social media. If you have a problem go see the owners...and FYI they are very nice. read more

No, the prices aren't the lowest, and no, it's not the cleanest store in the world. But it carries a lot of funky, mom-and-pop brand items that the big chains won't carry because they can't make slotting fees off of them. In other words, not everything is made by Kraft. Which appeals to me. I prefer a good selection, and Dutch's has it. read more

Super high prices! Workers are ok, except the deli. They're pretty attentive and friendly. read more

Nearing Thanksgiving I went to Dutch's Market since I've been staying with my family for the last week. Never been to Dutch's Market, but oh boy am I glad that I won't be having to shop there again. It was about noon when I entered and I go around slightly near the frozen section. There was this big scary looking man who I believe his name to be "frank" based on what his coworkers call him. From what I heard he was joking around messing with this teenager whom I don't know his name. His hair was shaggy and he had buck teeth with pimples, a lot of them actually. I perceived the insults to be jokes cause where I'm from at Boise, all jokes are jokes until you cross the line. The man didn't seem to be crossing the line but the kid was very unsettled by the man, Frank. The kid stormed off shaking his head. I wanted to follow him but not make it seem obvious so I hustled passed this man at an open meat case who smelled awful and kept talking about his guns. Finally saw the kid in the corner of the store near ice cream. He then walked over to multiple coworkers and proceeded to stir the pot saying, "I can do this sh*t anymore!". I expected the teen to get back to work but I was wrong. There was this cute Hispanic girl worker that he talked to where I didn't catch any of the words spoken. However he left the conversation in a rage. If I'm that girl, I'd want absolutely nothing to do with him. I didn't see this kid work for a minute while I was in there. Dutch's should take note of the teenager because I doubt they want him starting all this drama while others work hard. Won't be returning anytime soon. read more

Mel R and Alyssa P on target with their reviews. Very rude employees especially towards" out of towners". Made a purchase of Italian sausage, peppers and onions as well as other items. I can only give a review for one subject...their fried chicken. It is literally the best I have ever eaten. We drive to Florida a couple of times per year and have stopped at countless places down south. This blows them all away. My husband brought it home back from his cousin's in PA and it made our night! I have no idea about the store or anything else sold there, but for fried chicken, it is the place to go! read more

Very very over priced. And the produce or meat is almost always expired. They are the only place in the town, but Weis in Hamlin is 7 miles away, They easily exchange or accept returns, but that is because it happens so frequently. The meat goes bad, and it seems they flip it over and re package it. The place wouldn't do so well if there were another market near by, read more

I have been shopping in Dutch's for over 10 years. The meat and deli prices are great! The quality is even better. It is convenient and best of all, clean. The employees must like working there, because the same people are there stocking shelves and checking out groceries. Nice, clean, and friendly. Good prices too. Be sure to get a Dutch's Market Shurfine card to get the best savings. read more

I stopped in on Friday on our way up to the cabin. We got all of our essentials. When we were going to make sandwiches we noticed that the guy at the deli had made a mistake and gave us low fat cheese. We noticed from the taste. Anyway, we are not fans of this cheese and have never had a problem. So, we ate other things and brought it back today on our way past. First the women at customer service gives me a problem and says she doesn't think she can take it back since I opened it. Then the manager comes over and tells me the same thing. He says you can't return things that are opened. To this I say what????? If I had gotten the cheese I ordered I wouldn't be returning it. If something is wrong with something you would not know if you didn't open it. So, I really was not happy and I told both of them that I could not believe that there was no apology, no sorry for the inconvenience, but instead a ridiculous statement about not being able to return something that is opened. This has to be the most ridiculous thing. So, if the cheese was bad would that be okay? If there was mold on it would that be okay? I am just done with stupidity. read more
