So I went in New Year's Eve to see if they had edible glitter, I know it is not a common item so I asked an associate that was running self checkout. I didn't get his name but he was wearing glasses, had a faux hawk and im pretty sure is a manager. When I asked him if they had edible glitter he laughed at me and said no. I found this to be rude and disrespectful. I walked away I was so mad. However, I then asked someone who was stocking shelves. She was so great to deal with her name was Kayla. She pointed out and helped me look in places it may have been and even checked in the backstock for me. She made my experience better. However, if the guy i first talked to was a manager, I would definitely recommend for him to go through extensive training or be fired because due to that interaction alone, I will not be back. Simply one of the most horrible grocery stores you can shop in. The help is ignorant at best and generally uncaring. You have to check the dates on everything as mush of what is on the shelves is at or past expiration. The app for coupons does not work as the signal in the store is weak to nonexistent. The Wi-Fi is useless. The help is rude and ignorant though I get that as it is hard to get retail help now since people don't want to work unless they are paid a living wage. read more

We ordered a Weis2Go order because our car isn't drivable right now. First of all: the Weis associates pick out the food order and did a TERRIBLE job of it. We had purchased some items JUST because they were on sale (example: pork chops were buy 1 get 2 free. I put 3 in the cart to obtain the sales price. The store associate only collected 1). We received an emailed receipt showing 9 fewer items would be delivered and that this would cost us an additional $61 that was going to be charged upon delivery - because discount requirements weren't being met... which we made it a point to meet. We called the store to see if they could fix the order. Dave, the front store manager, instead argued with us that only 2 items weren't collected, which wasn't what our emailed receipt showed. He wouldn't listen to us when we tried to explain what was missing. So we said 'cancel the order'. Then he said he couldn't refund our money unless we showed up in person... which we can't do because our car is out. So... Weis now has $141 of our money, and didn't deliver ANY ITEMS. When asked for his manager, he wouldn't give us his name. When asked for his last name, he wouldn't provide. So we contacted corporate and are leaving as many reviews as possible to warn people against this store. **Update regarding the response received to this review** - I already called customer service and stayed on hold for 45 minutes. We tried to resolve the issue with the front manager and the store manager because customer service entails a 1-2 hour wait to speak with anyone. I'm CERTAINLY not wasting any more time on this issue since it took up our entire day yesterday to reclaim our money (which we did have to physically go to the store to get reimbursed). That's a joke that you just provide a customer service number that's defunct to address issues. You say you care - but you clearly do not!! read more

I have come here to grocery shop plenty of times and was never disappointed. They have fresh produce and all items are up to date. They have a wide selection of items to choose from and even items i haven't seen before that I got to try and loved. You must wear a mask while shopping. Keep your distance. And they also provide you with hand sanitizer and wipes. You currently can bring your own bags but you must pack your own items. They do provide plastic bags if you forgot your bag at home. read more

This store is really great. The produce is fresh. Meats very nice. Large selection of products. Plants and flowers well priced and very pretty. Prices over all are good. I have found the staff to be friendly and helpful. I had an excellent experience with their pharmacy. I am from Alaska and had a particularly complicated orders for them. There were Rx transfers and insurance issues for them to deal with. They dealt with it professionally and efficiently. They filled my Rx promptly. I'm happy with that store. read more

This is the biggest rip off not to mention their shoddy produce. Don't even waste your money on "The Dock" fish and seafood which is their lame brand. they inject it with so much water to inflate the weight you will end up with a mushy golf ball that taste like spoiled salt. We need a competitive grocery store in the area. Dutches is just as bad. They know we do not have choices so.... Worth the drive to go to Dickson city or Scranton. read more

This is the only Weis I have been to, but I still signed up for their card because the deals were significant. The prices were already very cheap, but then again I'm from northeast New Jersey, so that is not saying much. One negative: we were here on a Friday night, not your typical shopping rush. However, they had just about ran out of eggs! What's up with that? Also, the hot dogs and bacon were so far away from each other! To everyone who ordered online from this Hamlin Weis the past Monday for Tuesday 12/15 delivery, prior to the snow, I want you to know you didn't get the items you ordered because the store manager Dave threw you all under the bus for the in-person shoppers He took it upon himself no direct orders from Corporate in Sundbury He directed his employees NO SUBSTITUTIONS for online orders. So you got no meat ..... half your order if that and a lot of useless items. I called and talked to the different departments and they had plenty of meat, bread vegetables ect.... but they were not allowed to share substitutions for the online people. FYI .... most of the online shoppers are sick, perhaps older, and unable to shop for themself. The weak, frail the most vulnerable they were the ones Dave decided to not provide for. They were not important enough for him to consider. It is immoral, unethical, and totally biased ....... Don't shop where they don't deserve your business. Go to Dutches SurSave in Greentown it's not too far away and the people will treat you with dignity. read more

I've been shopping at Weis in Hamlin for 20+ years for convenience. It's been tough since they carry something I like, then stop offering it. The gluten-free items are substandard I've had to go to Scranton to get better brands of gluten free. Gluten free Ronzoni pasta, Three Bakers breads are better brands. I've had to buy many items elsewhere that they don't carry. I've let them know, but they don't care. read more

I believe in supporting your local community stores even if the prices are a bit higher because I believe Community Support is important to maintain the community. Regarding Weis in Hamlin . . . The produce continues to be old, wilted and in many cases moldy sitting in the cases. They double the price of meat and then put signs up saying buy one get one free but you are still paying the same high prices for the meat and the meat is a very inferior quality, even chicken is usually tough. Last month I purchased a large amount of baking items, flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, Bisquick and other items. Didn't notice until today, that ALL WERE EXPIRED back in 2017, except for one item. Since I no longer have the receipt I am out a lot of money. I wanted to support the local store but I have been burned too many times by Weis and wasted hundreds of dollars. I signed up for Sams club today. I will add that I typically spend at least $200-$300 a week, so this will be a loss for Weis. The owner doesn't care what is being sold and apparently doesn't care about the bad reviews or if he is losing customers. read more

Keeping it at three stars, but had to mention a couple of things... Firstly, the frozen shrimp smell very fishy when thawed out. Yes, they are a shell fish, but I've never had shrimp that smell like that before. Secondly, I was super stoked to see they carried crawfish! I grabbed a bag and headed to checkout anticipating the joy my wife and father in law would express with this gem of a find, only to be disappointed as I noticed they had expired about a month prior..a MONTH! We have shopped there ever since it opened and are always treated very, very well by all of the employees. When we have a question or are searching for an item they will answer our question or get us the answer from someone, if its something we are looking for they will personally take us to show us the item, not just tell us the aisle number. read more

This store is a well kept secret as it is located in a serene country setting. The Staff is very professional, friendly and extremely helpful. We visit this area frequently to appreciate the Autumn Foliage the area is so well known for. The store employees go out of their way to accommodate and assist the customers. The produce is always fresh and constantly replenished. The store is very well organized and spacious. We enjoy shopping here when we are in the area. read more
