The staff were very friendly and helpful despite how busy they were with all the people coming in for their Covid vaccines. It was worth the drive from White Haven. They seem to genuinely care about their customers. I will be back especially for any speciality medical needs I might have in the future. This place is amazing! You have to see it to believe it. Large selection of products on the front end at great prices...AND unbelievable finds in the Natural section. If they don't have it, they will order it. A little out of the way, but very worth the trip...especially since they have free delivery (and they go far!). As a diabetic, its already uncomfortable enough having to publicly purchase syringes for my insulin doses, simply because of the stigma attached when others often jump to the conclusion of i.v drug use. Nonetheless, I stopped in today to my local harrolds as I usually do to purchase syringes and the head pharmacist took one look at me, apparently decided that i was just another drug addict and instantly spoke to me with a completely ignorant attitude as she refused to let me purchase the size that I've always used, which were visibly in stock right behind the counter, and pulled out a pack that was absolutely too large for my use which she then said "this is what you get or nothing", then stormed off, leaving the rest of this encounter to a colleague. After this blatant show of ignorance and disrespect, I'll now gladly be switching my future prescriptions and business in general elsewhere. Very disappointing. Someone should teach your head pharmacist some manners. read more

I have bad asthma and was suffering an attack. I had my nebulizer on me but needed a new mouthpiece and tubing. This is something you can purchase off amazon and many other pharmacies without a prescription. I have a nebulizer and have an active prescription for albuterol. Why would they want a prescription for the mouthpiece and tubing? read more

I love Harrold's Pharmacy !!! The personal service is amazing , this is what a community pharmacy was went to be. I was really sick after eating some bad seafood , went to urgent care ... the doc there sent my prescription to Harrold's and when I pulled into my drive way the Harrold's delivery guy was just pulling up to my door with my medicine . I really felt that they care about my health and that delivery service was awesome . Well , it's been a year since that first delivery and I now have my mother and grandmother getting their meds from Harrold's . They package my Grams meds in a really cool pill box so she doesn't mess up her pills ... great service . Sad when a business takes a turn for the worse. I used this pharmacy many years ago and they were awesome1 Based on that experience, I decided to get a compounding script filled here rather than my regular pharmacy in New York. The service was horrible waited for two days for them to begin work on filling my script! To make matters worse they wanted to charge an additional thirty dollars to what I normally pay. I understand they changed locations and expanded its a shame they didn't keep the same quality of service that they have been known for in the past. read more

I needed an assistive product for my husband and couldn't find one anywhere. I called them on Christmas eve (Wednesday) and was told they didn't have any but would order it for me. Cute little pharmacy. Not too much in the walk-around retail section, but if you call ahead you don't have to wait long. Even though I've never used it, they also a delivery service. The main pitfall is its location - it's in a weird part of town and the parking is a little awkward. read more

I've been using Harold's Pharmacy in South Wilkes-Barre, PA for approximately 10 years. I even contacted Bruce from Boise before moving back here in March of 2006. In 2006 he helped me get my medications when I needed them. Even giving me a partial dosage amount until I could come up with the total amount of money due. I have had problems with Harold's in the past when they held my prescriptions until there were enough to make delivery profitable to them, sacrificing my immediate need for a particular prescription for up to a full week. Bruce had informed me personally that he would see to it that it would not happen again and I have to admit it hasn't. But today is the straw that broke the camel's back. Today, May 2, 2017, was a different story. I am currently in week 3 of being ramped up on a new medication for neuropathy in my feet which is very painful. Last night I had 1 pill left for this morning but needed to take one also at 2pm at 8:30pm this evening. I called in my Rx last night via the automated phone service for delivery. Delivery of my meds has always been a reason for choosing Harold's Pharmacy and the main reason I have stayed with them; even though I often had to bring a prescription in person all the way down to South Wilkes-Barre. At 1:58pm I called the Pharmacy and spoke to a Pharmacist's assistant who told me that my Rx was out for delivery. I told her that I was supposed to take my next pill at 2pm. At 3:55pm I called the Pharmacy and spoke to a Pharmacist's assistant again, explained the situation again and was told it was scheduled for delivery today. At 4:00pm I called the Rx Driver's phone (which I had previously saved to my phone) and was told he got off work at 3pm. He said I should call the Pharmacy and ask for Dave in Delivery Dept. I thanked him and apologized for calling him while off work. At 4:37pm I called and pressed option 6 for Pharmacist assistant, and Bruce (owner) answered. He looked up my information and said it would be delivered today. I explained I was being "ramped up" on a new medicine and he said he understood after looking at the Rx instructions. Then he told me he would look into it and call me back. I felt safe knowing Bruce was handling it personally. At 5:00pm I called the Pharmacy and spoke to a Pharmacist's assistant who informed me that Bruce had left the building for the day. At 5:05pm I called and left Bruce a message thanking him for not calling me back before leaving for the day and that was very professional (sarcastically). At 5:59pm I called and talked to a Pharmacist's assistant again expressing my concerns. I asked if she would call the Rx driver and have him call me on my cell phone so I could be assured he was coming today. She said she would do just that. Now at this time I felt like driving down there personally and picking up my Rx. because they close at 6pm. My feet were in a lot of pain so I lay down on the bed with my phone at my side awaiting the call from the Rx driver to get access to our building. They can't enter otherwise. I drifted off into sleep and awoke suddenly at 6pm. I immediately called the Pharmacy hoping to reach someone. Someone picked up the phone and I asked "You are about to close aren't you?" and the man answered "Yes." I explained the situation again and he went back to check the Delivery Dept. to see if the Rx was there. He came back on the phone within a minute and told me that it was still out for delivery. "The often will deliver after 6pm" he said. I thanked him and hung up. At this point it was far too late to go down myself to pick up my Rx. It is now 7pm and I still have received no call from the front door of our building from the Rx driver. I have spent the last half hour documenting all of this information from my phone records. I am totally upset and for good reason. In the morning I will be transferring all of my prescriptions to another pharmacy that delivers. I missed my 2pm pill, and now must go without taking 2 pills tonight at 8:30pm, and probably will miss my 8am pill too. I plan on being there when they open in the morning before the delivery driver's leave the Pharmacy to hopefully pick up my Rx and to transfer all my prescriptions to another pharmacy in Wilkes-Barre. I cannot tolerate this unprofessionalism any longer; and neither should anyone. read more
