On few occasions I've managed to escape here with only mild-frustrations. One time I asked a guy where TIME magazine was, he was appalled that people were still reading TIME magazine (they had an expose on Mad Men's final season, I'm a huge Mad Men fan and can't wait to see how the series ends) The employee just kept pointing to a double-sized TIME retrospective on Mother Theresa. Does Mother Theresa even bare a passing resemblance to Jon Hamm? Okay, yeah - maybe - a little bit. The lines are always long, and it seems like the employees would rather cut themselves open and bleed out in front of you than open another register. Their saving grace is the woman from cosmetics - who at least seems to have a handle on the fact that she is indeed working for a company and selling goods to people in a store. My fat roommate who wears the robe also hates this Walgreens, but won't say why - I can't imagine the horrors he must have endured here, if he's being tight lipped about his experience. My dog even hates the Walgreen brand dog snacks, and Mocha (the dog) once ate a carrot off the kitchen floor.

The layout is...odd especially compared to the Williamsport location as everything is on opposite sides. I could not find any DVD/Blu-Ray's and an associate said they will not be carrying much anymore. The main issue with this store is the checkout isles. Due to the stores crowding, merchandise is far too close to the checkouts, causing the lines to curve, making it challenging to pass the lines on a busy day such as Saturday to find open registers. Checkouts can also become blocked due to the volume people are purchasing in. I wonder if this store needs another expansion, but with the former Walmart now Kohl's being next door, the room doesn't exist.

I had a friend bring me here to fill my prescription after being released from the hospital for a hip replacement surgery. I had a cane, 6 hospital bracelets, and 40+ staples going down my leg. The pharmacist sent me hobbling back to the hospital to have the date put on the prescription. When I came back, they said they wouldn't fill it because the date "looked weird", so we drove back to the hospital the second time. After speaking with the head nurse in the joint replacement center, CVS told the hospital "we won't fill it", and that was that. Not only will I NEVER shop here again, I will actively tell everyone I know not to spend a single cent here. The pharmacy is too busy covering its collective ass to bother calling a doctors office to verify a prescription, like they're supposed to. They would rather let a patient go home in agony.

When I got back to California from my East Coast visit, there was a letter from the VA waiting for me. The letter said that the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center was my new "Home VA." Apparently, when I visited, they had to create a chart for me, but then they neglected to "kick my records" back to California. I went to my local VA and explained the situation, they punched a couple of keys, and they fixed the situation. If you are here as a visiting veteran, make sure that they send your records back to your home VA. Just a minor glitch, I would still use this VA again in a heartbeat. Thank you.

Been to a few other VA medical centers, and this is the cleanest most organized hospital I've ever…read morebeen to. I am treated with courtesy and dignity, and my issues listened to. They are 55 miles away, but we go there. I trust their capability and appreciate the attention to my problems. The only issue I had was their obvious right wing leanings and pushy about religion- based on the TV channels always on, like FOX news and the 700 club. I find that offensive and complained about it. Now clickers are left out so patients can change it. Occasionally the older angry vets verbally express themselves quite loudly and offensively, but we just leave the area. The staff themselves are attentive, friendly, professional and helpful. Much appreciated.
