Grants Pass has an awesome skate park, we were driving down the road and passed by this skate park…read moreand turned around and went back. There is plenty of parking spots and good to see no non sense going on in the parking lot. We have been to a few skate parks where there were shenanigans going on in the parking lot. We stopped because I used to skate and it cool to watch the different levels of skaters having a great time. I'm 56 now and no more skating, I do have a super cool RC truck that I normally bring to the parks, I didn't have it with me on this trip. It was good to see skateboarders , bike riders and scooter riders all having a good time together. Sometimes the younger scooter riders get a hard time from the older kids. We sat in the shade for about an hour and watched tricks being practiced and tricks being pulled off, it brought back a lot of great memories. It was a surprise to see that not everyone had a helmet on, I know it saved my head more than a few times. Side note, just as we were leaving the police pulled up in the parking lot just to do a walk around. There were a variety of color choices and for me the best part was loads of glass to look at to get a visual idea. We go back and we have Keegan as our instructor. He's amazing. he's very patient super knowledgeable, and parting knowledge while giving instruction. When you select your item to make be aware that some items are former complex and others. One of the members in our group made the paperweight. It was a fascinating process to watch however, it was a lot of work. They also don't make those that are struggling feel left out. They are great at encouraging you and making sure you are having fun. I spent 4 days of instruction with them on the Rogue River and I started out as a complete beginner, not knowing anything about white water kayaking. My instructors were Ashley, J.R. and Jon and I spent at least one day of instruction with each of them. Each of them have their own style of teaching, but I learned so much from them all. Our group of 20+ had a wide range of experience and aptitude, but the instructors worked with each of us at our own pace and still kept the group together each day allowing us to still have fun together no matter our abilities. I would highly recommend Sundance Kayak School for your river guiding needs. Don't even think about going anywhere else!
