There are many different paths to walk and always lots of people and dogs. They also have event spaces and sports areas. The bridge over the river is nice to stand on and watch the water. Just don't let your dogs off leash as I read about someone losing their dog in the current. There are a few places to access the water and it is too strong for anyone. There are some nice paths over some ponds where you can see all types of ducks, geese and turtles at times. Plenty of free parking and close to town.

We found a shady spot to park in and I got my dog and my lunch and headed out for a bench. While we ate we could see many people out enjoying the beautiful scenery. There are multiple ponds that have fish in them if you want to fish or take a child fishing. Remember you need a license if your not a child. Cool thing is that the bike riding trails were paved and smooth, well marked trails are easy to follow, plenty of trash cans along the way. This park is really clean also. There is an abundance of squirrels, ducks, geese. There are clean bathrooms and a great kids play area that is also big. We enjoyed the flowers and everyone was friendly and nice. Recommend

Other playgrounds in the area seemed sketchy so we found this one and gave it a try. We were pleasantly surprised by how clean and well maintained it was. The playground is amazing and has so many different components to keep the kids occupied. FYI there is a $5 park fee and it's cash only. They should probably make the system an electronic system since many people don't carry cash anymore.

Awesome disc golf course. 18 holes, variety of terrain. Some short, some really long. Some through…read moreand around trees, some over ridges and ravines. I played early July and almost all of the streams and ponds were dried up, but come spring, I could see this adding an extra layer of difficulty to this already extremely challenging course. All holes are very well marked and offer two tee boxes and two or 3 hole placements. Hole 13 in particular was the longest and the pin placement wasn't on the sign, it must have been an extra 250' past the long pin. There is an old dam/bridge/wall that has a bunch of cool graffiti on it adding to the ambiance of the course. Nice flowing river on the south end of the park. Overshoot 18 and your disc could roll down into the water and be toast! Costs $5 for a day pass, well worth the price of admission!

A tennis court, also on the Lawnridge side of the park. A gazebo for parties, plenty of lush green grass for the kiddies and furry friends to run around on. Big shade trees and a small playground. This park is about 1/2 a city block in size and just perfect for a neighborhood park. I like that the B-Ball and Tennis Courts are on the other side of the park ... cuts down on the noise but you still know when the game is on. The gazebo may be reserved for special occasions but I never do. I just take it over! A very well maintained park, the garbage cans are never overflowing, the bathrooms are clean and stocked, the grass cut at least once a week and watered every night between 11:30 - 1:00 a.m. The sound of sprinklers is not quite the same as the sound of the ocean but, I still fall asleep.

We came here with our two friends each of them having a little one strapped to their backs. Our dog Momo was also part of the group and she particularly loved this walk. At the time we were her in late spring (end of May), we were able to see still lots of wild flowers, but my friend mentioned that Renee were even more a few weeks earlier. The trails are mostly leading through forest area and so you're in the shade most of the time. We took a trail that led us to the peak and we were able to enjoy lovely views over the valley. Note: there's lots of poison oak here. If you have small kids with you, remind them to be vigilant.

Grants Pass has an awesome skate park, we were driving down the road and passed by this skate park…read moreand turned around and went back. There is plenty of parking spots and good to see no non sense going on in the parking lot. We have been to a few skate parks where there were shenanigans going on in the parking lot. We stopped because I used to skate and it cool to watch the different levels of skaters having a great time. I'm 56 now and no more skating, I do have a super cool RC truck that I normally bring to the parks, I didn't have it with me on this trip. It was good to see skateboarders , bike riders and scooter riders all having a good time together. Sometimes the younger scooter riders get a hard time from the older kids. We sat in the shade for about an hour and watched tricks being practiced and tricks being pulled off, it brought back a lot of great memories. It was a surprise to see that not everyone had a helmet on, I know it saved my head more than a few times. Side note, just as we were leaving the police pulled up in the parking lot just to do a walk around. We had a great time and the next time we are in town I will bring my RC truck and add some action shot, recommend

The rig our 40 DP was extremely difficult to get out of park. We caught two Bay doors on a tree that grew sideways and tore our roof on a tree branch. So for bigger rigs this is not the place unless you stay up on the very top loop , which wasn't offered to us.

Most of the RV sites have trees [lovely ponderosa and oak] and some of the sites face the Rogue River. The hosts are friendly and helpful. Note: if your trailer is longer than 20 ft, don't get site 14 [backup]. It's set on a hairpin turn and between 2 trees. It's doable [we did with our 24 ft], but not an easy back in. We're super thankful for our camping neighbors who spent 15 min guiding us in!!
