There are several shelters with many picnic tables and some outside the shelters also. The picnic areas are clean, with trash picked up, and there are toilets and plentiful parking, not a little in the shade. If I lived near here, I'd be a regular.

Well, they apparently do not have the same lenient rules for online payment when it comes to people of darker skin color because as I had my friend on the phone, who, of course you guessed it does not have darker skin color. She told me on the phone, which the guy could hear in an ear shots because she was on speakerphone that she was let through without paying and he had her take a picture of the online payment for code for her to do it that way. I proceeded to tell him exactly what she's telling me and he's acting confused. He never showed me this paper clip or or acknowledges the fact that you could pay online at all. I tell him I need to go cause they're actually leaving soon, so can I just go and I will do the payment some other way, he continues to act weird and confused and like cash is the only way or or else he's not gonna let me go through. Then he says oh the rangers are gonna be stopping by, blah blah. so to end this so that it doesn't turn into me sitting there for 10-30 minutes. I had to tell him my plans to go there quickly and come back because I can't be here all day. They're gonna leave soon. I get to my friends and tell them this story and they confirmed that this is a very odd interaction and clearly probably has a lot to do with discrimination/ the way that I look. To add to this a very angry looking female Park Ranger was staring like somebody had just spit in her Cheerios like she was ready to fight someone maybe the only person of color at the park over six dollars...? You need to do better. This is ridiculous behavior in 2026 especially. They're lucky I probably can't sue for this stupid interaction. Only adding a star because it is a nice park/play area.

I don't know how many times kids have been throwing things around or gotten hurt with no patents in sight. Then when you actually find them, they just seem bothered that you're interrupting them while they're smoking or messing with their phones. If your kid is too young to know your phone number, they're too young to be roaming a park alone. Other than that, the park has fun equipment, lots of space, and is generally clean.

This park has lots of potential but on a frying hot day in August, we arrived to find all of the…read morewater features shut off except one, the pump to the artificial river into the sand. That feature was fun and there was enough water to wet enough sand to cool off and to have fun with but they really should have it working if they want to call it open. There is a wooded area and some grasslands surrounding the developed area but the park is in the middle of a new foothills subdivision with construction of houses still underway. Some of those very nice houses view onto the restroom facility, though it is a solar collector facility of which they seem quite proud. Plus the restroom odor is apparent on the picnic deck. They do have a few kinks to work out. The climbing rock is unique for an artificial venue. It is a huge boulder with chunks of natural stone attached, apparently with hidden bolts and some sort of adhesive. Some areas are easy enough for amateurs, others more difficult. There is a paved walking path with features designed for educational use and appears to be handicapped accessible. There is a more rustic natural area too, with lizards and what appeared to be poison oak. I'd love to see this place fully operational and be able to review it again. My local hosts had heard it was open and fun for kids so we went and visited for part of an afternoon.

Although smaller than the average dog park I'm used to, there is definitely enough room to play…read morefetch, run around and have fun ... for the dog of course ;) This fenced in area is mostly grassy with a few bare spots of dirt that could get muddy with rain. There are some trees for shade and two picnic tables (the city website says food is not allowed). They also provide water for the dogs, but I couldn't figure out how to turn on the spigot to fill the bowl. Maybe that's just user error! You can't see the Rogue River from the park, but you can hear it. There is a paved path nearby that will take you the 100 yards to overlook the rushing water.

That area is beautifully…read moredesigned for handicapped accessibility plus there is a great view of the valley below, including the City of Medford. Facing West, I hear that the sunset view in the evening is often beautiful and along the drive on the way up are strategically placed park benches that we noticed for sitting and watching. When we looked in the other direction, we could see the peak of Roxy Ann, a local landmark. We did not use the trail system this day as we were just on a casual sight seeing of the area. There are great opportunities for group photos up here as well as the landscape. The attached website from the city park system has all the trails and visit details. I do know that our local hosts hike it regularly with their active dog and kids. It might be a bit much for me at this point but not for most visitors. The area is rather steep but mostly grassland with an occasional tree. Heed warnings for lack of shade and heat in the summer. But visit it any way that you can.

A beautiful memorial on a nice maintained green belt right on the Rogue river at exit 48 off of the I-5 in southern central Oregon, by the town of Rogue River, adjacent to the Rogue River Visitors Center on the 99 (Rogue River Hwy) road frontage. There are few picnic tables and a few grills under lots of nice shade trees, against a backdrop of the tree lined water front of the river. Plenty of parking, and handicap accessible, this small park is very peaceful and serene. I walked it several times over our most recent visit. There is also access to the water at several points and a water craft ramp under the bridge that passes over. This memorial park is quite busy with people coming and going throughout the day. This is a great memorial that recognizes all veterans past to present day of the area, and should be treated with a certain reverence while there, as a great tribute to those who sacrificed everything... a 5 star memorial 00268
