After selecting our remnant, we were rushed into choosing our templates prior to the installation the following day. When I noticed a spot marked with a green X, I was assured it was a small hole that would be filled with epoxy and we would never notice it. We moved forward based on that assurance. When the counters were installed, we found 10 to 15 visibly mismatched epoxy repairs and a noticeable scratch. The one repair I had specifically asked about was the worst of all. A technician came out the following week, acknowledged the repairs didn't match, and admitted our salesperson should have disclosed them -- but suggested most predated Colonial's purchase of the stone, meaning we were sold a heavily repaired remnant with zero disclosure. What followed has been four months of inexcusable customer service. I called 3 to 5 times per week and almost never heard back. When I finally reached Wendy in management on April 2, 2026, she was unaware of key details and said she'd follow up with the service department. It is now June 1, 2026, and I have not received a single callback since. I want to be fair: the counters themselves are beautiful, and every service technician who came to our home was professional and exceptional. This is purely a failure of customer service at the management level. We live 45 minutes away and have busy lives, but we are now left with no choice but to drive there in person just to find someone willing to speak with us. We were prepared to give Colonial more of our business. Instead, we have been ignored for months over an issue that -- at least in part -- was clearly their responsibility. The lack of basic decency in returning a customer's call is something I never expected from a professional company. I would urge anyone considering Colonial Marble & Granite to think carefully before trusting them with a significant purchase.

The salesman came and was polite, however, we were required to listen to a two hour presentation even though we told him several times to just give us the bottom line. My husband said he felt like he was being presured by a used car salesman. I was undecided about getting shower doors, although my husband wanted them. The salesman advised against us getting them and quoted us a price of around $2K more for them. We eventually went without them in part due to his downplaying the need versus the cost. The end project was $12k with no shower doors. Immediately after the install we decided we did in fact want the doors. I called back and was finally advised the cheapest version of glass doors would cost us at least $4k. I will definately be looking for another installer for our other bathrooms.

Even though I got back to her after couple of months, she honored the estimate that she had given to me earlier. She even went out of her way to get me in touch with a contractor to help prep the existing cabinets before installing the granite countertops. 2) The guys from AGS were all very good and extremely polite. They put drop cloths on the floor and made sure to clean up any messes before they left. 3) I was a bit unsure of how AGS would be after reading their Yelp reviews (since I had placed the order before reading the reviews). But I have to say that they did not disappoint me at all in terms of pricing and services. 4) Last but not the least, their store has two big cats. They steal away all the show and are super adorable.

It was an easy process and I trusted AGS from the start. They have a large showroom of slabs of granite, quartz, etc. Who knew there were so many shades of white? About a week after ordering, Luke made a home visit to measure the vanity, etc. In no time, the countertop was ready to be installed. The work crew arrived and got right to work.
