The mall has a lot of great stores with tons of selections, especially for shopping online and having the option of pickup in the store. They also have many restaurants where you grab and go to continue your shopping! It was crowded, which is fine because it was a Saturday. Definitely a place to shop for the latest fashions:) Overall I am glad I went. I found some great deals! I am sure I will be headed back in a week or two:) Great stores, pleasant customer service and even a good bit of law enforcement to keep you safe while you're out shopping. So far, I have had a great shopping experience.

It's one of the cleaner malls I've been to in the Columbia area--floors are spotless, restrooms are well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere feels bright and welcoming. The store mix is excellent: you can find affordable options like H&M, Old Navy, and Forever 21, but also mid-range and higher-end stores like Macy's, Dillard's, and a nicely stocked Apple Store. It's easy to shop across different budgets without having to drive all over town. The food court has solid variety--everything from standard favorites (Chick-fil-A, Sbarro) to some better Asian and Mediterranean choices. Nothing groundbreaking, but everything I've tried has been fresh and quick. The vintage carousel in the center court is a charming touch, especially if you have kids (or just enjoy a little nostalgia). It's beautifully maintained and adds a lot of character. Plenty of parking, decent seating areas, and the mall rarely feels overcrowded. A reliable, pleasant spot for shopping or a quick bite. Definitely my go-to mall in Columbia!

Im a member and volunteer of Historic Columbia, go to their website for all the deets. Ive done a good review of Historic Columbia. They perserve the history of Columbia SC amongst other things in the city. Being a member has allowed me to attend behind the scenes of new projects and keep up with the new preservations of the city. The event " Columbia Down Under" was well planned and open only to members. We met up at the restored Arcade Mall in the DT area in the city. Parking can be a task since DT has become more popular with all the happenings in town. Once we met up inside the Arcade Mall we were gven tickets for light snack food and two beverage ticket. There history slides on a projector explaining the past life under ground. We were given the low down of the evening from the guide, then we went downstairs for the beginning of the tour. They had 3 groups, thankfully I was in the first to go under ground. The steps were a little steep, not to bad though. If you have any respiratory issues I would advice taking a mask with you. Its unfinished in its original state, untouched. For now they have no plans on restoring the "Under Ground". I actually learned quite a bit during this tour. The guide works for Historic Columbia and was very knowledgeable, he welcomed any questions for all us history buffs. This was my first visit to The Arcade but not my last, the buildings architecture is absolutely gorgeous. Plenty of shops and spaces to add a business. Its worth a visit if your DT Columbia!

The prices were on the higher end and well above what I typically pay for retail items. But overall, it was an enjoyable shopping experience. All the store displays were neat and visually appealing. The products they sold were trendy and high quality--tons of designer brands. The employees were friendly and helped when needed. The only complaint was the price point, but other than that, and it was a nice store to shop at.

"GB Shoes Warehouse" is a regional footwear outlet in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia. This store is similar to the national D*W that many of us shoe lovers frequently patronize. I had a pair of pink, suede Merrell snow boots I purchased back in November 2005. For ten (10) plus years, these little gals surely performed the job excellently. They took me through Wisconsin winter, Pennsylvania blizzard, and are still standing strong in my closet. I found another pair of cold-weather boots by Sorel for $115 (orig. $230). I didn't think that looking for snow boots would be difficult because of the lack of demand for a warm climate. The cashier told me to put them on the next day since the weather in SC will be in the 40s. Well, that won't be necessary. They expanded their sales floor and now men's and women's apparel is also featured. "GB Shoes Warehouse" has their own loyalty program, the GB preferred card. My in-laws told me that they are cardholders and receive coupons consistently. Select brands would receive a significant discount ($20-$30 off). I would be willing to sign for a reward card if I were to live locally.
