I have only had excellent experiences at the Payson Dutch Bros. Smiles, polite, patient with questions, recommendations to achieve the drink I would like. Considering how busy they are, and how many variations to a drink can be requested I am amazed that that can keep up the level of service and professionalism they do. This is a specialty menu place, not a large, small or medium drink location. Be prepared to wait to get exactly what you want. The more complex, the more time, for your drink or the one before you. If you are in a rush and the line is long, try the window. The choice to wait in line is yours. The dedication to making great drinks is what the staff is doing, as rapidly as they can. Ordered through the mobile app and had my coffee as soon as I got to the window. They were also impressed with how quickly the order came through. The coffee is always tasty and they don't cringe when I get creative with flavors. Everyone was friendly and the coffee was made quick. Not looking for a gift card or other freebie... your customer facing employees just need to communicate serious delays to customers. The coffee isn't worth a 45 minute wait. Initial review: Stopped by while running errands in town. The drive thru was long, so we parked & walked up to the walk up order window. After a few minutes, we were acknowledged & told it would be "a few minutes", okay, I can wait a few minutes! A few minutes passed by & he came back to the window to ask us to move so he could hand out the order of the one other person on the patio. He handed out the drinks & left the window. My fiancée & I were a bit stunned. No acknowledgement, nothing. Just as we were getting ready to leave & a line was forming, he returned to the window to take our order. He then tells us, after we paid, that our order was behind a specific car in the drive thru & it would be "a couple of minutes". Okay, I'm this invested, I have a couple more minutes! He then take the order of everyone behind us, before making the drinks & handing out the order of someone who ordered after us. I get being short staffed - I've worked retail & am patient, but communication here is a bit questionable. The bare minimum is acknowledging customers. This seems a dying skill set. I waited for over 20 minutes for my drinks- did not get them due to the person Saying it was "cleared" from the screen and needed to be remade? So then I repeated my ordered, it STILL came out wrong. I asked for an ice medium coffee and explained it 3 times since the girl taking the order kept asking me "hot or iced" and I asked iced 3 times. So pumped to check out the new Dutch while visiting my Dad this weekend. Since today was the first of the month it was a perfect time to stop! Free stickers right?! I decided to go to the walk up window so I could check it out a bit better. There were quite a few cars in the drive through, but definitely slower than all my local Dutch locations. Once at the window I was a bit bummed at the lack of acknowledgement that I was there. At least three employees made eye contact and just kept on doing what they were doing. At any other business I wouldn't be surprised, but I'm a die hard Dutch fan and never ever experienced that. No hello nothing. I know this is a newer location yet the Dutch creed is usually visible instantly, smiles etc. once I was helped i had my drinks quickly and a smile given while handing me my stickers. Got to the window and the server asks which name we ordered under and we never ordered because the guy with the clip board was chatting up super bro behind us his jeep blasting Dua Lipa (my daughter told me) The long lines I'm used to (I've seen better crews at D/B rip throught 20+ cars in about 8 mins) but this was only 2 (TWO!) cars in front of me and super bro behind me. I came through about twenty minutes ago, and apparently the workers here are too busy chatting customers up rather than paying attention to what they're supposed to be doing--making decent coffee. I ordered a cinnamon swirl oat latte and it tasted like dirt. Whoever made it forgot to add whatever makes the drink NOT taste like dirt. Waiting in Drive through for 45 minutes while walk up gets 4 seperate customers their drinks first. I watched all of these walk ups park and get helped while my vehicle didn't move. I know if they don't send a line buster out until I get just about to the window, it makes your wait times look better. I repeat, 45 MINUTES. Visited Pine for a quick vacation and Dutch bros was the closest coffee shop to us so we thought we would check it out. I've heard lots of great things from friends and family about Dutch Bros and this location did not disappoint! The employees here were very friendly and efficient. We brought our pug along and as soon as they saw him they asked if he wanted a puppacino which was so thoughtful! Bilbo the pug was very happy :). Tried the iced annihilator and wow it was delicious and gave me the energy I needed to make a drive back to California! Love this location! The drive thru wraps the parking lot, so be careful not to turn too soon or you'll hit parking spots. The guys at the window were super friendly and helpful when we ordered! I tried the dirty chia single shot with 1 pump almond and 1 pump vanilla. So so so so good! I ordered it hot on a chilly night and it was delicious! I stop at this location once, sometimes twice each weekend when we go up to our cabin. We are a family of four and today I was just ordering a coffee. We waited in the drive thru line behind some teenager that was apparently friends with the employees taking orders. We waited and waited and waited while we watched two employees chat with the teenager in front of us about her ripped jeans, a stuffed animal in his car, his token hanging from rear view mirror etc.......We then wait again for this teen to chat with the window staff and three additional employees and to top it all off, the employee at the window hands over two free drinks to the teenager before he finally drives off. Thirteen minutes after pulling into the drive thru we finally get to the window, all waiting for this one teenager in front of us. We count 9 cars in line behind us. Then the girl at the window has to remake my coffee, I guess an americano with cream and sugar is difficult to make. OMG, she has the nerve to ask me for a tip! We were in Pine for a few days and had 2 great drive thru experiences. However this morning, since the drive thru line was very long, I decided to use the walk up window. And I eventually learned that I did not choose wisely. The staff was more attentive to the non-mask wearing family ahead of me. Being from Tucson, it was sad to see so many people in Payson having no respect for the ongoing pandemic. Their was a crystal clear sign (near the window) regarding the mask recommendation. Once I was at the front, I was barely acknowledged by the multiple staff passing by the window. Eventually (after many minutes), a staff member was given the ok to take my order. Just close the walk up window if you cannot pay attention or prioritize these customers! Also, I had to return to the window to ask for the holiday sticker. I was visiting the area and went here both mornings, my first visit was fine I got 3 drinks 2 iced and 1 hot but honestly it was room temperature at best. My second visit I got 1 medium blended drink which tasted great but I sat in line for about 15 minutes and there was maybe 5 cars in front of me but the kid helping with the drive through outside spent almost the entire time chatting with the truck in front of me.
