There were a couple of things that made the experience a little challenging. The parking lot was PACKED, and getting in was honestly a bit of a nightmare, especially since we aren't familiar with the area. But honestly, that's a pretty good problem for a business to have! The other thing that confused me was the menu. I had a really hard time finding the actual drink menu, both online and when looking on Yelp. There was one picture of the menu on Yelp, but part of it was blocked, and I still wasn't really sure what all the drink options were. Maybe I just wasn't looking in the right place, but it definitely wasn't obvious to me. Luckily, my daughter and her boyfriend knew exactly what they wanted, so we got their drinks, and Sean ordered the same thing as my daughter's boyfriend. I asked the woman working the counter what she recommended, went with her suggestion, and WOW...we were impressed! Once we actually got up to the window, I really loved the whole vibe. It's such a cute little drive-through setup with windows on both sides, and they moved through the line really quickly. The whole experience felt friendly and welcoming, and I really enjoyed the ambience. Now that we know the routine and how everything works we will be back!! The coffee was SO good. Great flavor, and the service was fantastic. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and my drink was definitely one I could have gone back for another one of. I seriously considered it, but it was about a 10-15 minute drive away, so I resisted. Even with the parking and menu frustrations, I'm still giving Daily Rise 5 stars because when the coffee is that good and the service is that great, I'm willing to overlook the little inconveniences. Normally I try to hold space for people's opinions. BEANS is NOT this kind of environment. Sadly. It's like the owner is trying to out-Woke her own self. I'm lbgtq and disabled. What's happening here is not the kind of advocacy we need. We don't create safe spaces by hating on everyone who is not just exactly like us. Most of us just want to not have constant conflict, confrontation and political or social strife. Standing up for others rights is one thing. Intentionally creating discord is quite another. This experience is not great for anyone with anxiety, or needs peace and calm, with a sensory processing disorder or preference to avoid conflict. Hate doesn't need a seat at the table. Kind of done with that. I'm not coming back. The coffee is good though. So are the baked treats. Had a lot of potential.

No it was super inconvenient. But you know what else is inconvenient? Having a job like this. I hope Starbucks deeply considers giving the staff scheduled today a raise because their hard work and ability to work under stress, a room of impatient people staring at them, and their ability to make it happen would be valued at other jobs.
