What really stands out for me is the large variety of food. I love a coffee shop that actually offers solid food options, and this one really does. Sweet, savory, breakfast, and lunch menus with plenty to choose from. Today I ordered the chorizo burrito. Flavorful, hot, and delicious. I honestly haven't been disappointed any time we've come here. The interior is great as well with plenty of seating, tables, and comfy leather chairs. Now this place is on my radar and when I need coffee in Greensboro I will look for Common Grounds. Most other places were closed or closing at this time of night and consider ourselves so fortunate to have found this place. To me it is the essential Coffee House. It must cater to college age clientele, as observed that night. Grungy and edgy atmosphere with a beatnik vibe that night. Especially with the poetry reading and rotation of musicians doing the music of The Beatles and the 1960s. Which makes sense since it was Sir Paul McCartney's birthday that day. I felt like I time traveled decades back. The coffee that we got was excellent. I believe I got a standard cafe latte. Inviting coffee aromas. Housed in an building from an older error, in an immense space with multiple areas/nooks. Back area I did not spend time in but I could see there was a pool table back there with people just hanging out. Definitely seem like places where people could just be themselves whilst being warm and inviting to those near them. Felt welcoming to intellectualism and good discussions. Also felt like a place not to be rushed and just stay however long. Plenty of board and other games on site. Kind of limited parking in the lot right in front of the building. Parking on the avenue might be challenging? We were lucky to get a spot right by the front door in the parking lot. Close proximity to UNCG campus and other schools. Probably a place that can be walk to fairly easy. In closing one of my favorite coffee houses that I've experienced in the Piedmont triad area.

I remember the vibes were pretty welcoming. I have gone once since then but during the day and the vibes were pretty chill and low-key but nothing too crazy. Just a typical experience but also a really good college outing memory. The matcha I had from there wasn't particularly my favorite but they used to keep their espresso machine up at night during the performance, I'm not completely sure if I remember correctly if they sold liquor or alcohol but the drink that I did have from there the first time I went was pretty good. The ambiance is pretty normal for greensboro, I feel like almost every establishment you walk in, there will be cracked floors but I just remember the staff was pretty awesome and as far as pastries, they had a pretty good variety and gluten free options and other food sensitivity options. I believe a few years ago, I recall an episode of "Catfish" where Nev and Max also visited this place so that was pretty interesting to experience that but honestly a pretty decent place.

But today was the day! As soon as you show up, you know this isn't your typical coffee shop. The outside of the place looks like it could be an Inn in the neighborhood (which who knows maybe it was at one point.) The vibe inside gives off quiet workspace/library, and definitely gives off the lobby of an Inn (think Gilmore Girls.) There was some people scattered around but I didn't take a deep look inside since I was just passing by. I ordered my ice vanilla latte. The first thing I remember realizing was that it wasn't very sweet. Which is not a bad thing, sometimes they can be made really sweet other times they can be not so sweet. This latte was in the middle. I could taste the creaminess from the oat milk too. I would definitely check this place out again and try out some of their other drinks that they offer. I would even like to stay in and work inside and see more of the environment inside.

The friendly staff working today were unsure when this will be up and working again. Hopeful they will bring it back for some point. There was a lot of things that caught my eye but ultimately i decided to go with a tiramisu cup and another tiramisu baked good (reminded me of a cupcake but wasnt one). I will say the flavors were definitely there for both treats. The cup was delicious and was very rich I would definitely get it again. The baked good was personally not my favorite. It was a little too hard but the top was delicious. I would definitely go back in and try out some of their other treats that are not just tiramisu. I definitely encourage everyone to go check out this little spot if you're in the mood for a little treat.

We hadn't had coffee this way since our Greece trip in 2019 so we went to see if it was legit. As soon as we walked in we were in awe of the dessert spread that you walk past to get to the counter. I ordered the Pistachio Cream one and no lie, it was 6 inches across and 2.5-3 inches tall. They asked if I wanted it heated (umm yes) and it was AHMAZING.i also ordered the fig and honey latte while my husband ordered the Turkish coffee. So good and unique!
