This was our first time ever going to a Dutch Bros! We drove from SD to Chico, it was about 7 am and we instantly made a uturn to get coffee! Never have ordered from Dutch Bros, the guy that was outside taking orders was so patient! He actually asked what I like and don't like and recommended a white mocha with oat milk! So that's what I got. Got that and the kids got a chocolate chip and lemon poppy muffin top which they absolutely needed after the long drive! First time here and in Southern California, we have Starbucks at every corner, but it was interesting to see Dutch Bros here in Chico. The line was long, but people came out with iPads to check orders. The attendant who helped me was really friendly and helpful, especially seeing this was my first time visiting. I wanted something with a chocolate taste, but caffeine so I went with the caramelized mocha. It was really good and was exactly what I was looking for! I am unsure how I scored this, but the coffee was free and I just got a friendly vibe from everyone here. I was loyal to this particular Dutch Bros since my husband and I moved here. Not anymore, I'm hitting up the other location after too many weird and unprofessional encounters. When I drive up with my husband this girl Kim (who is usually there) only adresses me and our dog. She won't look at him or even say hello. She literally greets the dog that is sitting on his lap, but acts like he is never there. It's really uncomfortable for both him and I and rude. At least say hello to the person holding the dog! It's HIS dog! Some of the guys also seem "off". One day I drove up and some guy working there popped up from behind the window and literally screamed in my face for no reason. Then he said "I bet that woke you up" dude wtf? It was 4am. Who does that? The night shift manager with blonde hair seems to not enjoy her job. She always seems grouchy for some reason and every time she's there, the morale of the employees gets really sad. Not sure how she treats them, but it upsets me seeing the employees sad everytime she is in charge. They're usually really happy, but never when she is there. Plus she has attitude :/ Don't get me wrong, we LOVE some of the staff members here! But it is so rare we see those employees now so we won't be returning. Our favorite person is Taylor and we will miss her! Working in customer service, I totally understand people have bad days. I understand it's really difficult and people can be jerks. But ignoring my husband everytime we go through and being unprofessional on a regular basis is unacceptable. In short, great drinks and great customer service! As you know, it's difficult for a business to get a 5-star from me but Dutch Bros easily swooped me up with their great customer service. My friend took me here and it was my first time in a Dutch Bros. it reminded me of In-N-Out because of the drive thru. We were greeted by a friendly employee at the drive thru taking our order. My friend made her aware that it was my first time and she suggested me my drink, a caramel egg nog special with whipped cream, blended. After ordering, she easily made rapport with us as if we we knew each other for awhile which was comfortable. We got our drinks and everyone was very friendly. Great employees! Nobody should be this perky at 6am! Wonderful kids. They really do go above and beyond their normal duties. They make you feel great and are always asking how you are doing and what you're up to for the day. They have mastered the art of conversation...Like small-talk ninjas! This has always been one of my favorite places to go when I'm on the west coast. The cocomo is my absolute favorite beverage and I just can't quite get it right when I try to recreate it at home. It's their 3 bean espresso roast, coconut, with dutch chocolate blend milk. Everything comes in an awesome adult version sippy cup with inspiration on the lid! It definitely beats Starbuck's cups that leak at the seam. Sometimes I wish they had Dutch Brothers on the east coast but then it wouldn't be as special. Keep it up guys! I found my experience at this Dutch Bros way below par. Either the female taking the order was too full of herself, or her ears needed cleaning. I distinctively said two medium coffees, one decaf with extra steaming milk, mine with extra shot and sugar free hazelnut. Plus my companion asked for some sort of rebel fruit mix, almost like an icee. When we arrived to the drive window an extra friendly lady handed the red color rebel drink to my friend. A nice large line of cars behind me she then handed me two cold drinks, milky looking. I immediately said I had ordered hot coffees, not cold. To be frank I was in a rush to be somewhere else and this place had already taken a fair amount of time, so I left with the above mentioned drinks. How our order got switched got two out of three, specially me, very upset, not to mention $19+ on Apple Pay. The mix of the milky drinks was almost tasteless, even doubt I received my extra shot. First time, and probably the last. They charged high, deliver wrong order, and the quality was way below par. Everytime I come to DB, the employees are so sweet, funny, and laid back. I always ask for a "surprise" dutch freeze, and they never disappoint! I get a different drink every time and no drink tastes the same, so I am always highly satisfied. Pros and cons to Dutch bros. They have decent coffee sometimes. Sometimes the barista will burn it or not clean machine regularly. It's a coin toss if you're gonna get a good tasting mocha unless you go before early traffic. Some employees wear masks and some wear them around their necks! I saw a guy leaning in peoples windows without one and talking/leaning towards them while taking their order. I hate the long lines especially during covid with no walk up windows to help alleviate traffic flow and it's annoying how they block traffic in main streets around Chico. I wish they had bigger areas instead of congesting streets. Some people who work there try to fish for tips. Some people don't deserve a tip if they provide poor service and not good quality customer service like give you wrong drink that you ordered. Seems like from personal experience it's a different experience every time I used to go. I quit going because I didn't like the customer service irregularities and inconsistent quality of coffee flavor. I haven't missed paying $6 for a mocha. I make better ones at home without burnt or bitterness taste and no sugar! read more

They are soo fast compared to other Dutch Bros around the area. When there's a few cars in line,they always send someone out to take their orders. Look- the first few times I visited Dutch Bros I did NOT like them! I am a HUGE frappe girl & I love trying coffee at new shops/ Cafe's. McDonald's has a great caramel frappe but it's not made with real coffee & has no caffeine... Which is awesome when your pregnant but besides that I need my caffeine. I use to think Starbucks was okay... Untill I tried the " hand blended" frappes at Dutch Bros. Golden eagle & wallaby with chocolate mac are my favorites & both are freaking awesome!!!! I love Dutch bros. I have an addiction to their coffee. I love their business and usually adore anyone and everyone who works there. They usually are perky, fun, chatty, smart etc. This review is for this location though.. On Saturday morning I came through and ordered my usual blended carmelizer and hubby ordered his usual rebel. First the guy overcharged us like 3 bucks.. Ok, someone else caught it after we ran our card and handed us cash back. Ok I get it, mistakes happen and it was caught. No biggie. But then the guy at the window hands us the first drink.. But the person making it had not put the lid on all the way! Hubby was putting it in the cup holder as the lid slid off, This resulted in coffee literally exploding out of the cup and ending up everywhere. It was all over my leg, phone, arm, him, and all over the center console and cup holder of the car, my NEW car I might add!! It was dripping all down there the gap where the seat and console end, and under my leg onto my seats!! The guy at the window said oops, they didn't put the lid on all the way. I asked for a towel or napkins or something.. It really was everywhere!! He handed me one dry paper towel!! I said I needed more and is there any way I can have a wet towel, it was really sticky. He hands me one more dry paper towel. I asked if they don't have a sink in there??? He then gets one more paper towel with like a spoonful of water on it.. Not helpful!! We had to finally drive across the street to Wendy's so I could get some wet paper towels, run my cellphone under the sink, and wash my arm and hands.. I had to bring out wet paper towels from the bathroom to clean up my car!! No apologies, no help, the interior of my new car was extremely sticky, I'm lucky I didn't choose the tan interior!!! Dutch bros is my favorite place to go however today at the grand opening of downtown I had great service .... Or so I thought . I waited in line in my car like everyone else and when I got to the window people were friendly as usual and they got my order correct and when the lady was handing me my drinks she even asked if I would like a free drink and of course I said yes . She then went on to tell me how tasty it was so I was so excited to try a new drink . As I drove away before I could take a sip my son stopped me and said "hey mom don't take a sip of that drink. " I said "why" he said did you see the kids at the walk up ? I said " yes" then he said " those kids sipped on the drink then returned it because of it being the wrong drink , then the lady re filled the whipped cream and put the lid back on and offered it to us for free. " I am just going to say that is so unprofessional and gross. So glad that my son seen it and stopped me before I put my lips on it . read more
