Just $20 for an all day pass and access to classes, rock walk, indoor water park with slides and lap pools, splash pad outside... really great facility. We brought our own towels because it's a $1 rental and we had some in our car (a summer staple!). Best part was no sunscreen! Coming from Arizona and staying at Purgatory for the week to enjoy cooler weather, the no sunscreen part is pretty exciting. My kids rave about this place (now 11 and 13 years old). The rock wall is no joke, either! Unlimited access during open hours (special hours for rock wall, but generally closed after 4pm). Kayaks in the pool at 6pm on Wednesdays for a $5 rental? What is the Colorado? Super cool way to learn!

Our family of four (2 adults, 2 boys eight and ten), fit very comfortably. The ranch itself is really well kept and clean, I noticed everything was very organized and well maintained. They have very nice buildings, with small shops, and a large lodge where they have internet, and meals. We were only able to stay for one week, but it will be an experience we will never forget. Thank you CTR, your staff and ranch are top tier.

We did the early morning half day Jeep tour to La Plata Canyon on 9/27/26. We initially thought…read morethat this tour would be cancelled because we were the only couple that had signed up. We had been looking forward to doing this for many months! I'm happy to say that the great people at Mild to Wild allowed us to take the tour even though they really look to have at least four or more on these trips. We really appreciated their decision on this! Miles was our guide and I've got to say, we were so happy with his pleasant demeanor and wealth of knowledge about the area. Miles is a great guy and I consider us very lucky to have had him as our guide. We appreciated him taking a few photos of us as well. We lucked out with the weather because it was a clear day with crisp temps in the morning and warmer in the afternoon. The area had seen a lot of rainfall in the week before our arrival and so there were creeks and streams and waterfalls flowing all along our route to Kennebec Pass. This was the first off road experience for both my wife and I and we had a blast in the back of the jeep! A good portion of the dirt road is very rocky but it didn't bother us one bit. In fact, we were laughing a lot of the time. We loved the whole Durango area and this jeep trip was definitely one of the highlights of our visit. We even stayed in the back of the jeep for the trip back to the Mild to Wild headquarters once we left the dirt road. It was all just a great experience.

We paddled through sun, rain, and hail, all in one trip! Epic, I tell u!! Our guides, Marcus and Robby were the best! Super cool dudes who were super knowledgeable! They kept us safe and made the experience such a blast! Colorado had the lowest snowfall this past winter so the river was really low and rapids were on the slow side. Make sure to check river flow and CSF levels if u decide to book this adventure so that u're not surprised by the low flow. The river only clocked in at 620 cfs when we ran it, so we didn't have too many big rapids and drops, but it was a very technical run and such a blast to experience this ultimate and wild experience with my hubby!!

The sign specified that owners should pick up after their dogs. When I walked, with my dogs, to the 12th Street side, the sign said "Dogs, tell your owners not to walk you dogs here. The park has several picnic tables, some in the sun and some shaded. A few benches sit along the river near some easy river access points. A swing set for the kids is located at one end of the park and at the other end is a set of restrooms with flush toilets but no sinks (or actually, there were sinks but no faucets). The park houses a couple of pieces of Durango's public art, one of which is a super cool whirligig named "Celebration!", if I remember correctly. Schneider Park is definitely a relaxing place to hang out in Durango picnicking and watching the river rafters float by.
