I can't understand all of the positive comments about the Duraclean service, or the company for that matter. Our tenants hired Duraclean to professionally clean the carpets in our unit upon leaving. While they had a small (and very cute) dog, we had never smelled any "pet smell" in our visits to the unit, which numbered quite a few over the last few weeks. Enter Duraclean - after the carpets were "cleaned", we noticed a strong, musty "pet odor". We attributed it to the fact that the carpets might still be a bit damp, so we waited a few days - same thing; the odor never went away. When my wife and I, and then our tenants, contacted Duraclean to have them make things right under their "100% satisfaction guarantee", Fred (he might be the owner) was not only uncooperative, but he was belligerent, and he lied on top of it all; and of course, he never came close to trying to make things right. Rather, he made preposterous claims about how his company was hired to "clean" rugs, not deodorize them, which if they had truly just "cleaned" the damn rugs wouldn't have been an issue as the odor appeared after their "professional" cleaning service. Bottom line: Duraclean is not only incompetent, but they're a company with zero integrity. Stay away. This review is long over due. At the end of April I utilized Duraclean Master Cleaners to handle the dirty of job of cleaning carpets in my new home. It is without a doubt that I can confidently recommend DuraClean Master Cleaners serving the Southern NH area from their Lowell, MA location. I found them on Yelp!. The owner responded almost immediately to my request for a quote. We went back and forth with him answering questions I posed. They came in under other competitors and did not sacrifice on service. Mark is one of their carpet techs who comes highly recommended. We were lucky to have him as our Tech as well. Don't let the location of the business deter you from reaching out to them. Because I suffer from asthma and seasonal allergies all year long, I really needed to find a company who met my expectations of "clean." Mark showed up ahead of schedule with a call first to make sure it was OK to come earlier. We had them pre-treat treat and steam two stairwells three bedrooms one living room and a landing for the price of somewhere around $275. But don't go by my quote because it goes by square footage and my house might be bigger or smaller than yours. If you're in the market for an upstanding carpet cleaning company, do yourself a favor and reach out to them. You won't be dissatisfied! read more

Just bought a new home in Nashua and needed to complete extensive renovations in order to bring it up to date, which can be very expensive. I heard about Duraclean Carpets from a friend of mine, and had an incredibly great experience from the start, in scheduling the appointment. What really impressed us was how professional, attentive, and thorough our Carpet Cleaning Tech, Mark Lennartson was. He took us through what he was going to do, explained how and what he was going to be using on our carpets, and really spent time thoroughly cleaning our carpets. I could not believe how well Mark did his job, because our carpets looked better than new!! I never imagined these carpets would be as clean as Mark was able to get them, which saved me thousands of dollars over just replacing them. I would recommend not only Duraclean to anyone, but would highly recommend Mark Lennartson as your Carpet Tech. He was incredibly knowledgable and there is no one better. I used duraclean for the first time today! I used them because of all the great yelp reviews they had, so thank you yelp! When I first called, I spoke with John. He was so easy to talk to and walked me through everything they do. He was very honest and straight forward. I asked to have a stair case and hallway carpet cleaned -- I gave them a heads up that my pups are finally out of accident stages, so there were some pee stains! John told me not to worry, and that they would do the best they could! They got me an appointment right away and were super accommodating to my schedule. Today, Jim came to clean my stairs/hallways. He was very sweet and personable, and my dogs loved him (which dog owners know is important!). He told me he'd do his best to get rid of accident stains and that made my nerves feel better. He was right on time and finished very promptly. He also did not go over the quoted price. He did a superb job. I was happy to tip him. My stairs and hallway are immaculate. It looks as tho they are brand new. I will most definitely use them again for the rest of my house. And I'll definitely ask for Jim. I'm very pleased, and the prices were great. I had a really hard time figuring out where to bring my wool area rugs to be cleaned. No, I don't want someone to come over and steam clean them, I want them to be thoroughly washed and soaked and everything. Thank goodness for Duraclean! I dropped my 8 x 10 wool rug off at their Lowell location (you can have them pick up and deliver, but you save money by dropping it off yourself) and was helped by the friendly dude in charge. They appear to be a family business type of operation, so they are extra attentive and actually care about your business. I was asked about types of stains, etc. (dog pee everywhere!) and given a very reasonable price, I think about $130. When I picked up the rug a week later it was clean, dry, and softer than ever. It had been thoroughly soaked and cleaned and all that jazz. I will definitely go to them again with my other wool rug that needs a similar cleaning. Even if I didn't have terrible dogs that choose my nice rugs when they REALLY gotta go, I would take these rugs to Duraclean for an annual refresher to keep their pile nice and lofty. I recently purchased a home and contacted Duraclean to clean the upstairs rugs. The owner, Fred, quickly responded and was extremely flexible as I changed my mind more than a few times! Peter came and performed miracles on the rugs! He said that they were not that bad but I thought otherwise. Peter was very professional and took great care in making sure I was happy with the results. He was extremely knowledgeable and gave me some great tips for future spills. I actually had him come back to clean the basement, as once again, I changed my mind. I cannot say enough about Peter as he was very kind and personable. He's the kind of guy that you could leave alone in your home and not worry about it and that's exactly what I did. I didnt even give it a 2nd thought which is not my character at all. I will be sure to keep Duraclean (Fred & Peter) in my contacts for future cleaning of rugs. I would give Peter 20 stars if I could! read more

I recently had the pleasure of having Mark take care of my carpets, rugs and chairs. The man is knowledgable, personable and considerate in ways that I appreciated. For instance I had three little children at home and he took a moment to let me know that the floors may become slippery and recommended the kiddos wear socks to avoid a little slip. I have two labradors who wouldn't leave him alone. He happily paid them the attention they were looking for. He recommended, without pressure or persuasion, an anti-bacterial spray and stain guard for certain items which I agreed with and added (and hadn't known they were an option prior). He was honest upfront. After seeing a few (very set in) stains, he let me know they would be better but not come fully out. He was right. Still, overall the stains were less obvious. If I were to use Duraclean again, I would specifically ask for Mark. You can tell he genuinely cares about his work. read more

I am so happy that I chose Duraclean to clean my carpets. It had been, sadly, several years since we had them professionally cleaned and Duraclean exceeded my expectations. My carpets now look and (more importantly) smell great! I have an elderly dog and a young dog that is fresh out of her puppy phase so we were in dire need of a good carpet cleaning. I cannot believe that they got the smell out!! Fred Higgins was prompt and courteous when he came to my house to give me an estimate. I never felt like I was getting a "sales pitch". He was very honest and his price was extremely reasonable. At that price, we can afford to have the carpets cleaned several times a year. The technician Jim did an excellent job. After reading the reviews we had to try duraclean, I filled out the order online got a call that day, had the service the next day scheduled with Chea, he was even early that was great. Our carpet in the livingroom was a mess, we even considered replacing them they were so bad, but after the Premium service was done I was stunned, it looked like we just moved into the place again brand new, it was just amazing, it smelled great too. We had the two bedrooms upstairs done, the hallway, stairs, livingroom and two chairs. It all looked like new and Chea, what a pro, the man is a machine and you can't beat the price. I had an area rug and 2 runners cleaned at a well known company in Lawrence, MA. I paid well over $200 for their service (in advance-their policy) and was told they were the best around. When I picked up the rugs and brought them home, the rugs were still very dirty and they still had a terrible odor. I surfed the net and I was lucky to have found Duraclean Master Cleaners. They observed my rugs to be visibly dirty and recleaned them. The rugs are as good as new and they removed the odor without charging me the extra charge for deodorizing the carpets the other company charged. The price was less than I had originally paid and I am ecstatic. I can't praise them enough. If you need your rugs cleaned, you can't find a better place to go. Great company! I needed my kitchen floor tiles cleaned as well as some oil stains removed from decorative tiles on my backsplash next to my cooktop. Fred came initially to assess the backsplash so that he would use the correct product and to give an accurate quote. He was very friendly and took his time to determine exactly what would be needed. Then Mark came about a week or so later to do the work, and he was excellent! He wanted to make absolutely sure I was pleased with his work. My decorative backsplash tiles look great again, and my kitchen floor looks like new - both the tiles and the grout. I had forgotten how nice it was when we first installed it, and now I feel as if I have a new floor back again. I plan to use Duraclean again soon for carpet cleaning as well. Oh, my word, what fabulous service! Serena was extremely helpful with the information I needed to select a service company to clean my lovely area rug. She was a delight. Pick up was scheduled in a timely manner, waited the stated and very reasonable time for the return ...well, I cannot say enough about how pleased and delighted at the results..wow and wow! It looks like the day I bought it. Fred was most informative about my rug, which I purchased over 25 years ago because I loved the pastel floral design..come to find out it was an excellent wool carpet that I purchased at a true bargain price! Excellent service all around. It was very easy to setup an appointment - approximately a week after calling. I received a confirmation phone call the day before. The morning of, Keith called to let me know that he was running a few minutes late (which was very considerate). On arrival, he walked around with me so that I could point out the specific issues I wanted addressed. Keith spent a lot of time working on the specific stains that I pointed out and on some that I had come to not even notice. His work was very thorough, and the carpet looked (nearly) as good as it did new 8 years ago. The price felt very reasonable to us, and the service was excellent. Fantastic customer service!! Our carpets look (and smell ) absolutely amazing, and it's been two days since we got it cleaned. My husband said it was easy to book, the price is affordable and their work is very detailed and done to perfection. Super recommend it and we plan on using them whenever we need our carpets cleaned again. Keith was the guy who came in to do it. Very nice guy, friendly and upbeat. He deff seems like he enjoys doing what he does. When we got back to our apartment when he finished we could smell the "clean carpet" smell from way down the hallway of our building. Dura clean is by far the BEST! They are very reasonable in price and NO ONE has ever gotten my carpets and upholstery cleaner! I have exclusively used them since 2001 because I have been so happy with the service , price and RESULTS! Chea , one of their long term employees is usually who does my rugs ,and boy is he a hard worker! I always ask for him! The Owner Fred is a great guy too and very accommodating,always does his best to get someone out quickly to clean my rugs. I almost replaced the rugs in the house we are renting. - but figured first I would try Dura clean - glad I did! They looked brand new when done!!! If i could i would give them six stars!! read more

I was SO impressed when coming home to beautifully clean carpets by Duraclean. Chea was the professional who completed the job He was very dedicated to getting the job done right! He spent extra time on the trouble spots. He spent a good amount of time at my place making sure he reached every sq. inch of my carpets! I spent TWICE the amount on a carpet cleaning company out of tewksbury ( name I cant even remember) and they spent less than a half hour cleaning my carpets and not to mention he was on the phone taking personal calls....never again! I am so happy with the service we received today and the whole experience.  This was literally the easiest thing I've done in weeks.  Fred (owner) responded quickly on a holiday weekend, scheduled the service immediately and the technician was super!  He called to let me know his ETA, was very friendly, explained the service and was very professional in his execution.  My carpets look like brand new!  There were so many stains from kids, working at home and just life in general.  I can't believe I don't do this every year.  They will be hearing from me again next year for sure!  Thanks again for such a painless, wonderful experience.  I love my clean house! read more

I called Fred Higgins, the owner of Dura Clean, and from that wonderful conversation all the way through to the technician Mark that came to my home, every aspect of this was nothing but high end. Mark was prompt, and took the time he needed to ensure I was satisfied with the end result before he packed up his materials. Boy does he work hard!!! And friendly!!!
