My husband died before we could finish and it was important I get it done right. Blaise understand this was more than a paint job. After quoting me a very fair price to paint the porch, we found out it had been previously painted with a commercial grade and highly volition Rexthane paint - this turned the job into 4 days of prepping, sanding and painting with a crazy toxic paint. He barely raised the price - just to cover cost of paint - and was in contact through the whole process. It is prettier than I could imagine and I feel a sense of relief. Would HIGHLY recommend. Cons: Lacks attention to detail, will not fix imperfections just paints over it (painted over prior painter impressions instead of sanding first, painted over/damaged our new outlets/switches, left drips and bubbles everywhere. After having him come back to touch up the imperfections and hearing excuses and shifting blame on pre-existing imperfections or contractors not prepping properly, we knew we weren't going to achieve the level of work we wanted. Ultimately, we paid him the balance owed. However, we asked him for a quote for the rest of the house to compare rates and gladly hired another painter to fix and repaint almost every wall (absent ceilings). We are now very happy with our current painter. This only proves that we weren't the only one seeing the imperfections. We received higher quality work for a more competitive price.

I really wanted to use L&G so I questioned the gutter cost that was near double the lowest price point, as well I asked why we had to remove my current wood panels to install the siding when 5 other contractors felt it was better to install over the wood. Basically I was told my house would not look right and that the gutters were the lowest without them losing money. I reconnected with the other contractors and questioned the removal of the wood as I was curious if they were trying to save me money to win the bid and if that was actually best for my home. All 5 agreed it was actually better to install over. Fast forward, I went with a contractor who did not do gutters - so I waited to call gutter professionals when the siding was done. I collected 4 estimates as well as some to roof a barn shed. Ironically all these quotes were half of L&G's gutter quote which is what I found with the other siding contractors. One contractors who didn't do roofs suggested I reconnect with L&G. I did. I explained why I didn't use them and told them I was looking for the cheapest solution (product) to roof the shed. I asked if they would consider coming out for a fair estimate without any fluff or unnecessary add ons. The shed is nothing that need a spectacular metal roof and precision shingling. L&G declined coming out to provide a fair estimate and related they would not be the cheapest.

This was all before the contract was signed! They are very thorough and wanted to see the situation not knowing even if they got the job...impressive!. Day of job three guys came~~AMAZING guys!..They wasted NO time and got the new tank in the basement~~in no time they had all of my oil from the old tank transferred. Then the digging commenced...Dan could pick up a toothpick with that bucket machine!!! so neat and careful since my well lines were close by. The hole was a small square..exactly big enough~~ plastic was put down nearby so the grass wouldn't get too beat up. Halfway through the job he said he didn't realize it was SO many leaves he had to clean up (all the trees surrounding our house should have been a clue), Like it's OUR fault he wasn't professional enough to assess the job correctly and ask for more money! Once he did get the leaves up, I sent him a text telling him we would like to hire him again for masonry work. He wasted our time by saying he would come and look and give us and estimate for the work. During the visit he seemed to be trying to deter us from the job, as if we weren't going to pay him enough. He said things like "Oh, but this job is a big job and costs more money!" lol. My husband and I own 3 houses between Middletown, NY and Bronx, NY, we didn't care about how much extra the job would cost and I told him to just give us an estimate, don't worry about price. The next day I get a text from Alejandro saying that he can't do any of our work because he has no time and has other jobs. Okay fine, then why the horse and pony show during the estimate? Why even bother coming to give an estimate if he was overbooked? Thankfully, we found 2 other Landscapers who were overjoyed make some good money for once. When I texted Alejandro to tell him it was okay, that we found someone else who wanted the jobs, he sent me the text I screenshot here. He thinks he did us a FAVOR, when in fact, he just low-balled himself out of making more money. He didn't even FINISH the spring cleaning job, all he did was remove the leaves! He was supposed to trim shrubs, mow lawn, plant some bulbs, and weed the yard!. Had he been business savvy and said "Hey, I'm going to have to charge you an extra $$$ because I underestimated the amount of leaves in your yard", we would have gladly paid him more. But he said nothing until he sent this text to me. When he came to give the estimate for the masonry he also kept telling me how we paid him cash last time (at HIS suggestion so he wouldn't have to pay taxes on it) but this time he would have to charge us tax because he got into trouble because some other client reported his income! Still, I said fine, we will pay whatever tax you want. If he had a REAL staff instead of one (1) person doing everything. He showed up with a woman (probably his poor tired wife), and she worked with him in the yard all day! This man is rude and disrespectful when things don't go his way. Buyer beware - Hire elsewhere! NOTE: He has since shared my personal address AND name on his website in an effort to try an intimidate me because he didn't like my review. I am looking into suing him. He has also posted lies on Google accusing us of animal cruelty (which is a crime), and saying we had animal feces all over the house. This man was NEVER in the house except for the basement & garage to get an estimate on work. He has NO idea what the inside of our home is like. He also said I was Haitian, I never EVER told him this so I'm wondering why he lies so much. Sounds like he stalked my truck and saw a Haiti head rest cover I was given. He also lied on my husband who is a NYC Police Officer. This man is a liar and pure evil. He told lies and then contradicted his own lies. I have the proof.

I pretty well knew my leechfield was probably shot. The next morning I called three places to get some rough estimates and timelines as to when they could come out to do the work. After they had dug the system up they showed me why I was having the problem, outflow pipe full of roots, and then explained how they were going to fix everything. He said he would send more details in a full report, and we'd receive it 2 days later. 2 days later came and went. I had to call him 5x before he finally picked up 3 days later. Later that night he sent me a 7 sentence report with a doodle of the property, and said he'd send more once he figure out an issue with his software. I made the mistake of paying him before he sent over the full report, because it's been more than 2 weeks since he sent me his doodle and I never heard from him again - though I've sent him multiple emails, texts, and Facebook messages since. Since I didn't have enough details about the septic, I hired someone else to do another inspection. They charged $50 less, gave us many more important details about the system in person, and provided us with an 11 page in-depth report on the same day of inspection. They also texted me back right away whenever I had a question. It was like night and day dealing with these two different companies. It's possible Orange County Septic Services is the right company for certain jobs, but I can't recommend them for septic inspections.
