Horrible customer service. The sales employee Ryan was excellent at his job and that's why we were confident that we would have a great experience with Durabuilt however then we encountered problems and both the supervisor and the manager were both horrible. Went behind my back to a window cleaner and wouldn't pay them to complete the job and said see if she notices. I got told by management that it was none of my business and that I was being unreasonable. I am still shocked at how I have been treated. Still waiting on my window install to be complete.

    Condensation

Worst service ever!!We have been trying to get someone to show up for over a year!! Built our dream home and spent good money on supposedly best windows. Worst issue is our windows are fully frosted or condensation on them when humidity is 70% or over. Can't see out our windows till sun burns it off. Totally unacceptable! Happens almost half the month!!

Hello Durabuilt Support, I would like this issue resolved before winter. I do not want freezing temperatures in this room again another year because of our broken window and being neglected by Durabuilt customer service. As shared on Google reviews, and other media platforms: Had settlement cracks in my window. Discovered and reported in Summer 2020 to my builder. This was still within the builder warranty. They communicated to Durabuilt to come to fix this. Pictures attached of that. No frame damage there in the window crack images. 1. When they finally came, they brought a small window for the laundry room. They didn't even bring the right window. By the time they finally came it was the fall. I think November of 2020. 2. Before the crack we could open the window all the way. After "the repair" the frame was damaged all around the edges and we could no longer open the window. They damaged the frame of our window when they replaced the glass. See attachments that show we can't open window all the way and frame damage. The frame is damaged on at least 3 sides. 3. More calls, more tickets to get this fixed. Their technician came, finally Summer of 2021. They said to me verbatim: "This is heat damage. If was caused by Durabuilt when we replaced the glass. The technician would have had to heat the frame to get the glass out in the fall. The only other explanation is if the house was built by the builder in the winter, then it could have been a heat fan used to blow through the window during construction." When I asked if this was a warranty issue, or there was anything else this could have been they assured me it was a warranty issue. There wasn't anything else they could think of. The other possibility of course is defective material in the window, which would still be a warranty. 4. Our house was inspected when we took possession in June 2019. There was no damage to this window frame. Before the crack, we could open the window all the way, as there was no damage to the window frame. In the picture of the crack, the parts of the frame have no damage. After the glass was replaced the frame was damaged. Therefore, Durabuilt damaged our window frame, whether by accident (or on purpose to get more money out of us). 5. Why do I say that? The technician said they would follow up with us about what needs to be done. We never received follow up. I have to put another ticket in through their website, and follow up by phone call. 6. When we followed up by phone they said they will have to look into this and get back to us. Very suspicious. There's a lot of paperwork on this. Why couldn't they look it up and immediately get back to us? 7. I had to follow up with builder and New Home Owners Warranty program, and follow up with Durabuilt again. 8. Then I got an email from Wanda now in fall of 2021 telling me the tech says it's heat damage from blinds. That they could "try" a hot glue repair for $105, and if that doesn't work it means replacing the whole frame. I would have to pay for the hot glue repair, and I would have to pay for a new frame. They are saying that I damaged the window with my blinds. So, as you can see, things are not adding up. Why is the company changing the story and lying to me to try to get out of the damage they caused? 9. We don't put the blind down in this room. This happens to be the guest room and we don't have anyone staying in this room. We have no reason to put the blind down in this room, we open our windows for airflow when it's hot. When we have put blinds down in any other room of the house we leave room at the bottom of the window and put our air circulation on. This allows air to flow from the vents below the window up along the windows to prevent overheating. Unfortunately, it is impossible for blinds to have caused heat damage to this window. It was a good "try" to blame us for this damage, but there's no good evidence for it. The window was damaged by the installer, or the window material installed is defective. Furthermore, when you look at the corner and edges of the frame it was not reinstalled properly. 10. As this is a warranty issue. As the damage to the frame of the window was caused by Durabuilt in the replacing of the glass. As I have been neglected and ignored as a customer for nearly a year. I do expect Durabuilt to fix this problem. 11. It would be great if we could avoid Durabuilt criminal charges of vandalism and a lawsuit for breach of warranty contract and incompetent craftsmanship.

Frost is between the inner panes
    Tony L.

Purchased 11 windows for $10,000 less than three years ago. Noticed was getting condensation in between the panes last fall in 5 of the windows. Contacted Durabuilt and they said since the warranty had expired four months ago (warranty apparently is two years on labour and 10 years on product) That I would have to pay a$1,000 charge to have the five windows replaced. they said I could find someone else to install them but after contacting a few contractors, no one would touch their windows. I wound up paying the charge and the installers were here for a total of 45 minutes.!!!! So over $1000 an hour Labour charge to replace a faulty product. Never again. save yourself the hassle and money and find a different manufacturer with a better warranty. I know I will

On installation day, the door had a major problem -- it required extreme effort to open and close. We didn't want it installed, but we were assured by All Weather that it could be fixed with adjustments. Instead of taking responsibility, they blamed the installer and made him tear off all the moulding and move the door half an inch. This did not solve the issue. We were then told the window had to be paid for in full before any warranty work would begin. We paid, with hesitation, believing it was our only option. Over the next several months, they returned multiple times -- often arriving without the proper parts or tools, and even forgetting which parts they had already replaced. Now, five months later (in September), the door is still not fixed or properly finished. Once All Weather realized they could not fix it, they dismissed the problem and told us it was "good enough," even though the door is still difficult to open and close and is missing weather stripping. As an elderly couple, this ordeal has been exhausting and stressful. After months of delays, excuses, and failed fixes, we cannot recommend All Weather At Home to anyone."

The windows were supposed to be 32 inches wide. We proceeded with the order come install day the windows are wider than we agreed upon and the installers say they can't keep our old trim and they didn't want to install any trim at all. We now have exposed framing. Our salesperson blew us off and so has some woman named Samantha. Due to their actions I had to drop more money on custom blinds and now I need to hire some to fix the mess they left behind. It has been over a month and they have not returned our calls and emails. I will be exploring my legal options. So my $4500 windows are costing me way more due to new custome blinds and repair/restoration work required.

Then let them install your windows, from lousy workmanship, to total ignorance for some of the materials they offer. And then totally ignoring your request for service, it's been only 1-1/2 year when they finally finished the installation started in 2023, and they already do not return a request for service. Can you imagine what they will do after years of the install in case you want to refer to their warranty. Stay away from Ecoline windows Mike

We had 4 bedroom windows and 1 patio door completed by Ecoline…read more We originally went with this company as they told us that there were no glass delays for them and that everything was made locally. This was in 2021 when this was an issue. This ended up being untrue and everything was delayed. Install was finally completed in Jan 2022. Our patio door was the first issue that I noticed. We could barely open it. It took me over a year and countless visits by their techs to finally say that the door was defective. I stayed home for dozens of these visits missing work and activities/family time, and no one would take notes or submit paper work and it was ALWAYS me following up with the company for anything to be done. Their trim work is also done so poorly, it splits within weeks to months after install. They told me if I wanted it done nicely that I would have to pay extra. They also use a copious amount of caulk to fill in any gaps on the exterior. They also damaged our walls and new flooring during the install. We had other windows done by another company as we were fed up with Ecoline and this was not an issue for any of their windows. I am now dealing with our replacement patio door. It is bowed and now leaking cold air into the house. I have reached out to them, and of course I know this is going to be a painful process to get anything rectified. I do not have any hope that they will do anything. Lastly, they demand payment upfront and before any work starts. They will just stand there until they are paid. This is because the company will make the workers pay the company if a client does not pay. Highly unethical. A client should be able to pay once the work is done and you are satisfied, not before. There is no hold back in case poor work is done. I have lost countless work days, time with my family and energy with this company for them to rectify their issues. They are unwilling to make anything right. Stay away from this company.

I am updating my review to reflect my direct experience with the Calgary project…read more My concerns are not related to aesthetics or minor preferences, but to the lack of clear disclosure, inconsistent guidance, and the final outcome not meeting the functional requirements that were clearly communicated. During the initial discussions, I specifically communicated that my primary requirement was to improve natural light and overall usability of the space. However, important product limitations were not disclosed at the time of decision-making. Specifically: * The impact of vinyl frame design on usable glass area was not explained prior to installation * This directly reduced the amount of natural light compared to what was discussed * This limitation was only clarified after installation had already progressed In addition, there was no written documentation in the contract or in any manufacturer materials provided indicating that adding a storm door could impact or void the warranty of the main entry door. This limitation was only communicated after installation through email. Even then, there was no clear, consistent, or actionable solution provided. At one-point, limited options were mentioned, but without a clear recommendation or a warranty-supported alternative. This resulted in a situation where: * A key limitation was not disclosed at the time of purchase * The customer is later restricted by that limitation * No clear or practical path forward is provided From an installation standpoint, the process raised additional concerns. Multiple service visits were required to address issues that, in my view, could have been avoided if the installation had been completed correctly the first time. During follow-up, a senior inspector from another team reviewed the work and identified issues that had not been addressed earlier. This highlighted inconsistencies in the initial installation work. There were also instances where basic installation details for basement windows, such as proper end dam handling, required clarification during inspection. This added to repeated visits, delays, and overall complexity of the project. While the Calgary team did respond and attempt to address concerns, the number of follow-ups and the need for escalation indicated gaps in execution and consistency. I appreciate that the team remained responsive after the issues were raised. However, for a project of this scale and cost, clear and complete communication at the outset -- along with consistent installation quality -- is essential. I also note that Window Mart's official response acknowledges that certain details could have been communicated more clearly. In this case, the issue is not just about expectations, but about key functional limitations not being fully explained at the time of decision-making. This experience highlights the importance of: * Getting written clarification on technical limitations * Understanding how product design affects actual functionality (not just appearance) * Ensuring installation quality and consistency from the beginning * Confirming compatibility and warranty implications before finalizing decisions This review reflects my actual experience so that other homeowners can ask the right questions and make fully informed decisions before proceeding with similar projects.

I had to hound them every step of the way to keep in contact with me and I was never notified of any delays in the process and my windows ended up being over a month overdue from the date promised in my contract. Delays happen of course but nothing was done to let me know about it so I could make arrangements for the new install window. Absolutely zero customer service available to try and make things better. I had to go into the branch in order to find out my windows had been done for over a week already and once actually able to be booked for installation, the install guys did a good job but seemed unwilling to interact with me in my own home. From start to finish, there was a complete disconnect between customer and their company. Happy with the product, could not be more upset with the process. For a company with a mission statement reading "100% Customer Satisfaction", they certainly missed the mark. I hope others can see this review and steer clear of Window Mart Edmonton.
