So, I've been going to another dentist for about 4-5 years. I have a very good friend that works at this other dental office so I was always just able to text and go in. I'm not going to say the dentist was horrible. He had a decent bedside manner, however because it's a corporate office type dental establishment, it's very rushed!! In August I had a crown put on, they opted not to do a root canal on the tooth, I knew I needed one. Fast forward to September 2nd I went back in pain by this time and he said he was referring me to his endodontist who would not be back in office for two weeks. Frustrated, I started researching and came upon Dr Zegar (who is an AMAZING endodontist) who I ended up having do my root canal. Fast forward a week or so later I made an appointment with Dr Hatami as she was recommended by Dr Zegar but I had also been researching a new dentist anyways, and had read reviews on her office. I had my initial appointment/assessment and she recommended finishing my deep cleaning (which I had started with the other dental office but never finished as I was doing a quadrant at a time) so upon leaving Dr Hatami I scheduled my deep cleaning for 3 weeks away (I was a little bummed it wasn't sooner) the very next day they text me twice about two different cancellations for thats same day!! I have been fearful of dental work for many years, like so many people are, and I have finally found a dental office where I feel completely safe, comfortable, and relaxed. The dental hygienists have always been incredibly courteous, but what stands out most is how gentle, caring, and attentive they are. They take the time to understand my anxiety and are especially mindful of my gum sensitivity, which has made such a difference in my experience. I was so pleased with the facility, staff and my results that this time I had to. The inside of the facility is very clean with a modern look. When I arrived I was greeted by wonderful staff and had virtually no wait time. I met with Trish for my first ever round of Botox. (She is AMAZING!!). Before the procedure Trish explained the possible discomfort, the procedure itself, and any possible side effects. She did the injections at my pace, and the whole time she was asking if I was ok. I took comfort in this since it was my first time. She didn't inject all the sites I was asking for, explaining that it might produce an unwanted look. This is my face an I am happy that she told me the truth rather than just inject wherever I ask to make more money. It has been a little over 2 weeks since the procedure and I couldn't be happier. On my first appointment I alerted her that I have a very hard time at the dentist and need to take anti-anxiety medication to even come in. This is always noted on my charts. Apparently they don't care about doing that at this dentist. I had an appointment for 1030 ok Nov 7th to pay out-of-pocket for bonding on two teeth. I arrived at 10:30 and waited 30 minutes until I was called by this time. I need to take another anxiety pill when I came into the room and was told I was going to have to wait even longer to be seen. I saw that there was multiple notes that were written on the chart and an including wrong time for check-in which they had stated was 1045 which was wrong it was 10:30 Without my consent or knowledge, they added two more procedures onto my chart which included two more fillings on the top teeth. When I asked why two more feelings were added to the procedure when that is not what I came for I was told "well that's what's on your chart and that's what you need " and could not give me an explanation. The dental hygienist was very aware. I was having a panic attack, I took my medicine in front of her because I had waited so long already and did not care. If you have to pay out-of-pocket here, please make sure you go and get multiple quotes. They were going to charge me over $900 for two bonding of the teeth. I went to a separate dentist that same day to talk to them and they were only going to charge me $140 per tooth. Today on Saturday November 8th, I received an automated message saying that I was a no-show and if I want to return to their office, I need to leave a deposits. That i had already missed 3 or more appointments. This was only 2nd visit to this dentist... okay... No phone call to see if you're OK and when would you like to return. Why would I return here in the 1st place? No customer service here. They obviously do not care about their patients. Don't waste your time and energy.
